I simply cannot say enough positive things about this business…read more I've had multiple opportunities to use their service and each time, I'm impressed. I had a recent 1 year service on a vehicle. They recommend an alignment, balance and tire rotation. They don't have the equipment for the alignment but recommend the Christian Brothers since I live in Fort Mill. Their quote was over $260.00. The same service provided by Discount Tire for less than $200.00. All of their staff and efficient and professional. I will continue to engage them as needed and recommend their service to all.

My mini-wagon is not and so it goes to other mechanics as needed. The tires are starting to look a little worn so I brought the car back to Discount Tire as I had purchased the current set from them. A fantastic service advisor helped me feel completely comfortable with the spend today, recommending three tiers of tires, showing me the choices and generally being fabulous. I spent the two hours watching the service bay over the top of my laptop where I sent some emails, wonte some Yelp reviews and generally chilled out. The waiting area is comfortable and the wifi worked well. My car took as long as it took, but the tech didn't dawdle and did everything right. I'm pleased with the service and will definitely bring my car back here for tire work. [Review 2527 of 2024 - 3980 in North Carolina - 23539 overall]

Brought my mother-in-law's vehicle in and let technician know about very noticeable shuddering…read morebetween gears. Holding themselves out as transmission experts, they sold her some $600+ repair. The problem was not fixed, as the shuddering continued in the days and weeks after our visit. We then brought it to two other repair shops, a statewide chain and the dealership, and after inspecting it, they both indicated there was a major transmission issue and it would likely need to be replaced. These other shops didn't try to sell us work, and didn't charge us anything, but simply used their expertise to give us an honest assessment. How refreshing. We concluded that we should just get rid of the vehicle, as a new transmission would be about $10k (based on two estimates). Therefore, the $600 we spent with AAA on the transmission a few weeks prior really was throwing good money at bad. I came back to the AAA shop for some form of consideration for this wasted money, and all the manager kept telling me is that they fixed "a" problem that existed on the vehicle, so I got something for my money, and they were off the hook. I was given a free oil change card, which seemed more like a directive to go away. I also contacted AAA corporate office about the issue, and they told me to pound sand with some templated email about the decision being "final" (despite there never being any back-and-forth on it between us). Sounds like they are proud of their sales-oriented culture. I expected more from this company, both at the shop and from their corporate response. The bottom line: AAA is a good place for an oil change at a good price (and I may return for that service), but I wouldn't trust them with anything complex. There are many better options out there.

These guys are really good! I recently slung an alternator belt on my 1988 Mazda RX7. This is not…read morethe first time either. In fact, I have slung three belts in the last six months. Needless to say, that was getting expensive. I told the guy at the front (who I presume to be the owner) and he responded "you definitely have a problem!" He further said that he would look into it. He looked up the belt in his system and cross checked it with the numbers on the piece of belt that I handed him. He had a NAPA belt delivered from across the street. After the belt was delivered he noticed that the belt was actually too long to leave room for adjustments. In other words, the belt would fit but detention adjusters didn't have any room left to make any additional adjustments. He told me that's what the issue was and he was going to go back across the street himself and get a shorter belt. This solve the problem permanently I hope. Think about it though. I took this vehicle to two other mechanics who just went by what their system said was the part and installed it whether it fit correctly or not then sent me on my way. These guys took the time to make sure that the part actually fit. They told me how much it would be up front and got me in and out in a little over an hour. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys! I highly recommend Hi-Tech Automotive!

Instead they tell me my bolts have sheared off on my motor mounts and transmission mount and I would need to replace them. (That's not even possible unless you have been in a front end collision or something). Little did they know, I usually perform work on my car myself and I had recently replaced all those parts with OEM parts. Then they said they looked at the specific part I asked them to look at and said it was fine. Well, I came home and checked all the parts and of course none of the bolts were sheared off. The part I asked them to look at was indeed bad. They didn't want to take the time to remove the heat shield to actually look at the part. This is why I perform work myself because some shops cannot be trusted. I actually deserve a refund because a true diagnostic was not actually done. Do better Hi-Tech!
