I dropped my car off for an oil change ($120 for 100% synthetic 7qt oil -$10 coupon) - not the lowest cost available, but OK. Mechanic found an oil leak, sent me pics and a video and I approved oil pan gasket replacement ($270). Picked up the car that afternoon and all seemed fine. The next morning there was a puddle of oil under the car in the garage... I topped up the oil, drove back to Midas and they quickly remedied the problem - split O-ring around oil filter that they had just installed the day before. The mechanic was very apologetic, helpful and quick with the repair. While I was certainly disappointed, and out another $15 for top up oil, oil dry to clean up the spill and another 1.5 hrs picking up materials and driving back and forth to Midas, I understand that things happen and the response was good, so all seemed fine. The next day my wife was driving the car and noticed a dragging noise, so she stopped, checked under the car and found that "something" was hanging down under the engine area, but there was no oil leak (she was sensitive to oil leaking after the recent experience). She was close to home so drove back to the house. I found that the rear engine cowling had dropped down because 5 body bolts were missing! Simply missing. Now I am a pretty forgiving guy, things happen, but there was no way I was going back to Midas to get this fixed. I spent another $10 and 2hrs buying body bolts at Lowes, jacking up the car to access and reset the now damaged cowling and replaced the missing bolts. Needless to say, I will be looking for a new place to take my car for simple maintenance. read more

Completely rude employees and outrageous prices for such mediocre work. I came in to have my exhaust system modified and they charged $200 for $60 worth of work! They wouldn't tell me the price until after everything was done and didn't budge on the price. Shortly after I noticed the car was rattling and vibrating really bad, turns out they left a hole in the exhaust and I had to take it back and have them weld it, while they had my car in the back they come out and hit me with the "your catalytic converter is bad" even though it was brand new? I can't tell if this place is run by con artists or just idiots. read more

When I made my reservation I was quoted a price on my oil change. Upon completion of our oil change they charged me more because I didn't have a printed out receipt. The guy that confirmed my reservation didn't indicate that I needed to print my coupon. Seemed like a bare and switch Update on this comment. Midas reaches out to me and made good on their original quote. They also indicated that they do accept coupons that are not printed out. Still not five stars due to the extended wait, but they did follow up with an unhappy customer. read more

Simple oil change and was quoted $74 plus $10 for an extra quart of oil. When finished was told total was $123. How is that possible I asked, so they came back with no explanation and told me total was $105. I explained that was not what we discussed originally and then new total without any further discussion was $98. At this point I was done with this location and Midas in general. read more

Fantastic service at Midas for brake repair and maintenance. I have been a customer of Midas for years and they have done excellent work on my cars. I had an old car and other garages wanted to charge me a bundle and Midas examined the car and prioritized the repairs to most essential with respect to my budget. I appreciate the professionalism and the service. They give fair pricing. When you buy brakes the cost covers labor and parts and you will only pay for future parts not the labor. read more

Rodney and the entire service department at Midas treated me very well after nearly being taken to the cleaners at the last place I took my car, and explained that I didn't actually need anything, and didn't charge me even though they had my car on a lift and taking everything down to have a look at my brakes. not to mention the quote for the service was 1.5x less than the last quote I got for rear pads/rear rotors. Seven or eight years ago I needed an oil change. I got to a shop nearby 20 min before closing. I waited at the counter for 5 minutes. No one even said hello, and I left. By the time I got to Midas they were about to close. They didn't care--they helped me anyway. I've gone back since for everything from oil changes, state inspections, routine maintenance, major service, new tires, and a/c repair. I get the same thing every time--honesty, quality, and a fair price. Plus a chance to grab breakfast or lunch at the Dive-N around the corner. What's not to love?! read more

Avoid this repair shop completely. If you are expecting a shop that takes care of your vehicle while in their care, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. While having routine maintenance completed, the technicians damaged my vehicle. Not only did they not tell me about it (which I would have been upset about, but realized it was an accident), but the manager wasn't even surprised it happened when I pointed it out- it was VERY obvious. They did admit fault and in full disclosure paid for the actual repair (after I called multiple times) but know that Midas doesn't put their customer first when being considerate of their customer's time, effort, frustration or that they may not even tell you about it in the first place. You make your own decision, but it's very disappointing to me that I can't trust this business to do right by the customer. Good luck. read more

I am so pleased with the honesty of this crew. I came in with suspicions of an oil leak; no physical evidence, just something my dealership told me and it was going to cost nearly $800. I came to Midas for a quote. The mechanic literally walked me under my car to show/explain there were no signs of any leak. I have been attending this shop for a few months now. The customer service was always good and pricing reasonable. After my last life-threatening experience, I will not be getting work done at this shop anymore. I went in on 7/16/18 to get new brake pads, rotors, and a new caliper. While driving to work the next morning, my wheel stopped spinning while driving 65 miles an hour on the interstate. I was barely able to get onto the shoulder of the road in the traffic. This incident could have ended worst because a tech l didn't screw in the bolts on my tire properly causing it to come loose while I was driving. I would advise all future costumers to take caution when get tire work done here. Update car steering wheel still shakes at times when braking. read more

This shop treats people right, they were able to stay open full time and not cut hours off their mechanics jobs!! Management hears knows how to treat customers and people that work for them like God is watching them. Any business open during this COVID 19 with that mentality will always prosper, heck before they pandemic they did the same exact thing. Treated people right to come back over and over again!! They know how to do the right thing!! We have been Midas customers for 13 plus years and as the Lord allows them to continue to stay open we will always come here no matter what and already started referring our friends!! A special shout out to the hardest worker of them all who also manages this Midas and gets his hand completely dirty even if he had no staff, he will still come in and work and keep the business going if that means that he has to run the place by himself!! Best car service in 5 years!! I called in advance for a price quote on brake pads and turned rotors. When we got there the next day, Ryan assisted us immediately and quoted the same price. He called me 15 minutes later to let me know that it was exactly as we expected. He gave me the total price including the tax and asked for my permission to complete the job. We arrived 2 hours later (since that was the time frame we were quoted) and the car was ready to go - with no additional charges. I know it shouldn't be a big deal that Ryan delivered exactly what he promised, but it is so abnormal at repair shops lately. No extra review fees or hidden diagnostic fees. This Midas location is grossly overpriced! I am new to the area and thought I could trust the Midas name so i went to this location because it was so close to where I was staying. I needed wheel cylinders on the rear wheels of my 2001 Hyundai Accent. I was unhappy about the price but was uncertain of my options and didn't want to mess around with faulty brakes because I have a two year old. I did some research later and found out the Midas four miles down the road charges $100 less for the exact same service. The Midas in Pineville here is a total rip-off! read more
