It took a bit longer than expected and didn't come with any cutlery which made it impossible for us to eat the salad (we were staying at the hospital and it was too late to get silverware). The pizza was great and the wings were really good too. The milkshakes tasted just like milk, but maybe by the time they got to us it was just so watered down that it might be normal?! Don't feel the portion properly? Very good food. Ordered 3x from them. But... Most recent order, they left off one of the three items ordered. However, they picked up the ball and made the order right, delivering the missing item with an apology and an extra item. Nice save, and they keep me as a customer with that. Recommended. read more

Pizza still great. The customer service needs improvement...a Lot!! Once, they forgot to ask the address, they didn't call us to clarify, and no apologized. Second, promised for an hour, ended up for 1.5 hours because the delivery man didn't follow the instruction for the address. read more

Stopped at Max Pizza after taking boys to Tramp Flight. The service was great waitress and owner very courteous and attentive.The restaurant is very clean and easily accommodated a group of 11, 3adults & 8boys. We ordered 3 large pizzas Hawaiian, very good first time having it, meat lovers, boys gobbled it, and cheese piping stringy hot, just how I like it. I did take out one friday night when they first opened. I ordered a small cheese pizza and it was bland and tasteless. I felt that I have had better cheese pizzas from other establishments so I never went back. I am going to try their ice cream someday with hope that it is good. Maybe the pizza has improved since I last ate here since there are no negative reviews for this place except for mine. read more

This place is down the street from our house, and after a long day, we didnt feel like cooking, so we walked to Maxs. Awesome decision! I got the turkey bacon grinder, it was grilled perfectly and the meats were soooo yummy! My boyfriend got the salami grinder and loved it! Next time, we will try the pizza! The inside is very neat and clean, calm atmosphere. A few other patrons at the tables, but i noticed they get slammed with pick up and delivery orders, they are that good! Very good customer service and very good food. Ordered delivery thru yelp and it said it could not get delivered until 430pm. The restaurant called right away and asked if we wanted it sooner. The steak and cheese large wraps were huge and had great taste and flavor. The side of fries was still crispy and warm even with delivery. read more

I had my second baby at hospital of central ct this week and we needed some dinner., we ordered a medium cheese and large Greek salad. The pizza was your standard pizza with medium crust. I do like that they cut it in squares. The Greek salad was amazing. It was huge and they were very generous with the feta cheese. The oil and vinegar dressing was delicious with it. They were quick , accommodating to the hospital and reasonably priced!! read more

I only give them a one star because food is great! but Staff can be a bit rude and for the fourth time i have received soggy food, cold pizza, hard mozzarella sticks and mushy subs. And we are in the same town as them! it takes over an hour and a half to get our food! read more

In town for a play. Stopped at max's. Staff was super friendly and the wild mushroom ravioli was delucious. Highly recommend.

Very clean. Great food AND ice cream. The staff is extremely friendly; the owners especially. You can tell the owners really care about the staff and customers; always checking on tables to make sure everything is going well. GREAT prices along with great quality food. I will never go there anymore. Have been there quite a few times and it is getting worse each time. The chicken wings are overcooked and awful, The pizza is hit or miss. 15 percent good and 85 percent edible to bad. The pizza sometimes when delivered is cooked on the outside edge but soft and doughy in the center. The pizza never taste the same the next time, Its like they have 50 different people making the pizza, The cold cut grinders have very little meat. The chicken Parmesan is decent but the chicken is scant in size for a grinder. I see the reviews and can only surmise that these customers either do not know what a good pizza really is. or they have never had a pizza outside of this town. This is pan pizza, not real pizza. If I wanted pan pizza I would go to pizza hut. I have also noticed a huge employee turnover which is not a good sign. The ice cream and milk Shakes are way to pricey and their food prices keep going up and are to high for the taste and amount you get, And stay away from the seafood because the only thing you get for the high price is a dirty look and a few crumbs. Stay away from any dish with Alfredo or Marsala. Both taste nothing like they should. This is a pizza restaurant, not a pizzeria so don't expect great pizza no matter what some of the reviewers say. I am from NY and know what real pizza taste like and this is not it. Quite a few of my friends live close and no longer go there for the same reasons. Heaven forbid you don't leave a good tip, They will remember you on the next trip. By the way, They now charge an added fee if you use a credit or debit card. And they are not ashamed of it. That is the clincher for me, I will never go back. read more
