I called this morning and spoke to the GM Jason, explained what was concerning with my vehicle, and what I needed. He was super attentive on the phone and told me to come in straight away. I didn't even have an appointment & when I got there- they took my car back and started investigating. This only took about 20 minutes when Jason came out and showed me what was wrong and what things they could do to Make it better. The one thing that I can appreciate so much is how he didn't try to up-sale anything or force me to get something done. He was very professional, showed me pics from his phone that showed where my possible leak was, and explained what options I had to fix it. Dude at the front door is an ass. Plenty of car shops in Chattanooga to go to. Just tell me if you can work on my car or not or if I need to bring it a week later or something. We were visiting from Kentucky when my brakes started to fail. We just came down Lookout Mountain and I was so blessed to pull off the road just across from Maxi Auto Service. Brian took my mini-van for a spin, came back and pulled it into a bay, checked it out and explained that I was riding the brakes too hard causing the brake fluid to overheat which made the brakes feel like they were failing. Brian assured me that the brakes were fine and sent my husband and me on our way. He did not charge for the time he spent with us and our vehicle. Devin and Joe were life savers! Our car broke down on our way home from vacation. They got us in that evening, stayed 20 mins over to figure out the problem. I had run over something yesterday and my front bumper was making a terribly annoying sound. I decided to give Maxi a shot after my roommate has given consistent praise of this place. I have picked her up from there several times. I walked right in, got assisted, told my car sounded relatively easy to fix, and they said wait 5 mins. I had planned on leaving my car there all day because I know how long car repairs can take. In and out within 10-15 min max. NO CHARGE! Took forever to get an oil change (4hrs) They seemed capable in knowledge, but not personal or talkative. I understand they don't do tires, but did not find a nail in the inner part of my tire. Not bad, but I expect more if they are hometown knowledgable mechanics. read more

I was on the first day of my trip to Denver from Daytona and started having trouble with my brakes. I did an internet an search and these guys came up as one of the qualified brake repair shops here in a town I've never been before. After reading the reviews and seeing that they were the closest shop that could to help me out I showed up at their door bright and early when they opened. I explained my situation to the guy at the desk (sorry I never got your name) and he listened attentively and assured me they could help me out. He did inform me that their were several customers ahead of me so it would be later in the afternoon before I could get it back. He even arranged a ride back to my hotel while I waited. He called me a couple of hours later to give me a full assessment of the problems and a price quote. I know some of you others say they are a bit pricey but having had a full brake job done on a different vehicle many years ago I knew his prices were in the ballpark and I was confident he wasn't doing work he didn't have to do. Needless to say I was impressed with their work and professionalism. Knowing that their work has a 3 year guarantee and will be backed up by a network across the nation pleased me to no end. Got oil changed on the Jeep here since I'm still in temporary housing. Price was right, service was fast, and I trusted the work (rare). Didn't go with the fiver because the waiting area was a little weak. According to the manager, they do everything but tires and alignment so I'll be going back with things I'm too JV to do. read more

I went to Maxi because my sunroof was clogged and water was coming into my car when it rained. When I got to Maxi, my car sat on their parking lot for 17 minutes while awaiting it's turn to be worked on. They took it back and worked on it for 12 minutes, then parked it back on the parking lot for another 16 minutes. This was a total of 45 minutes counting the time they were not working on the car. I was told by Maxi employees that Maxi charges labor in increments of fifteen minutes. When I went to pay my bill, I was told I owed for one hour labor. I told the employee that the I had only been there atotal of forty -five minutes and that could not be right. He then said I owed for forty-five minutes, then. I told him that they had only spent 12 minutes in actually working on the car. He said he did not care, that he was charging me for the entire forty-five minutes. I argued with him for several minutes but he still charged me the entire forty-five mines of labor even though they only labored on the car for twelve minutes. I will never go back to this business. By the way, my car still leaks, although not as badly as it did. the job was done incompletely. I sent the manager a letter to omplain about this but my letter was returned to me unopened. read more

Crooks, pure and simple. Not once, not twice, but THREE times I used them and all three times my car was damaged by them and needed further repair. They hire gorillas for mechanics, not people, and then they LIE about having damaged your car. The epitome of DISHONEST mechanics and they have the GALL to run a TV commercial campaign depicting a typical lying mechanic and that they are honest. What a joke. Absolutely terrible service. Took my truck here after one of their other locations did some work on my truck. They could not figure out the problem so I went to pick it back up and all of the sudden there are a whole bunch of problems. They were fishing for money and got angry when I called them out. They also left my truck with the windows down and keys in the ignition, with no one watching it, sitting in the parking lot.When I got in it to drive it, it was 10 times worse then when I dropped it off and the brakes did not work. I also found out that the shop manager, Brian Spears, was the one who did all of the work on my truck. He had a really bad attitude when I dropped the truck off and when I picked it up. This guy is dangerous and should not be working on cars. I really hope this review helps save someone some time and trouble by not using Maxi Auto on Broad St, I can't speak for their other locations, those may be alright. read more
