My boyfriend and I visited Las Vegas for the week, and on our last night (yesterday) we stumbled upon this hidden restaurant. I was very hesitant to go in, since there was literally only 2 other people inside, but we decided to give it a shot because we didn't know where else to go. That was our first mistake. First off, our waiter really seemed like he didn't want to be there, constantly yawning and looking annoyed to be working, okay, I can relate but seriously? Then we decided to order the Loaded Fries, I asked our waiter "What comes on the Loaded Fries" he replies "uhhhh, like cheese, sour cream and guacamole" okay, yummy. Our fries arrive, and there is cheese like cheez-whiz, sour cream and half a spoon of guacamole as well as tomato, onion, jalapeños, and cilantro. I wish I would've known that because I'm not a fan of jalapeños, so that was pretty annoying. Since I literally asked... My boyfriend ordered Chicken Parmigana and I ordered the Mac n Cheese. All I can say about my Mac n cheese is, is that I literally would've preferred to make a box of Kraft Mac n cheese. My boyfriend didn't even touch his pasta and just ate the chicken because he didn't want to be rude. Our bill came out to $55. All I can say is wow. The service caused us to walk out and eat at Yard House instead. We were seated immediately at Maxies. After waiting 10 minutes two servers walked by making eye contact wait no verbal acknowledgement. Unit we had to stop the same server walking past again lol! I we asked if we had to order at the front or if there was anyone working? She left to get our server after and didn't return for about 10 Minutes. As we are leaving the hostess did not say a word to check and see if we had been helped. This crew definitely didn't care about if we stayed or left. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. As I was walking to my booth, I was looking to see what people were having. The Belgium waffles seemed to be a popular item. My server, Leila, was very prompt and courteous as she took my drink order. No pressure at all! You ever get those servers that hang over you like an annoying fruit fly??? Not here...and that was appreciated. I opted for the 3 egg breakfast, potato's, bacon and White toast.....like I said, I was looking for an old fashioned breakfast. When Leila brought my coffee to me, I was surprised. This cup must have been 10-12 ounce size! Not to long after my food had arrived. Three eggs over easy. For some reason, a lot of places butcher my eggs. Either to runny or over cooked. These were just right and tasted fresh. The bacon was cooked well too! Not burnt and definitely not soggy. Had a good flavor too...not run of the mill bacon. The potatoes were something my late father would have loved. Served as whole pearl like potatoes with onions and bell pepper to give it that great flavor. Impressive. There were some interesting menu items such as the Fruity pebbles waffle and a Shake I would love to try that had the name Elvis Presley....bananas and cocoa pebbles. I'm not a huge fan of Avocado's ...but also noticed Avocado Toast. Loaded Nachos and Loaded fries sounded good for a mid evening buzz. Lol. I'm definitely coming back to this place. I've been coming to Las Vegas Since 1994. It has that OLD Vegas feel. The prices are where they should be, the service is excellent and quite frankly....they do give a damn about you. They seemed to have run out of most of their meats. The table next to us had to leave because they were told most of the menu is not available. It seems like it's mismanaged when you have no items on your menu. My experience with "The Strip" restaurants is hit or miss. And this one definitely misses. I feel like they missed the mark on this but the dish was 100% edible and fresh. Turns out, it's not the omelette that we all know and love, but rather a flat, round egg (think pre-omelette) over baby potatoes with fried peppers, onions, cheese, etc. The crazy part was there wasn't any meat in it at all... The hubby devoured that too! My stepdaughter ordered the Coco Pebbles French Toast and we were worried it would be too sweet but it was actually a perfect amount of sweet and chocolatey. It was made with thick but brioche bread three layers high. Obviously, little girl couldn't finish it but daddy and I had not problem helping her. Someone at my table got the BLT loaded with bacon, and I literally got 2 slivers of avocado with each half. Absolutely no wait when we got there around 9am, greeted by friendly young personnel (actually looked like high schoolers) in a half empty restaurant. The service was good, the food was just ok. The food is WAY over priced for what you get. I understand it's Vegas but the chicken and waffles do not compare in anyway to Hash House A Go Go (taste & price). Oh, and don't go there for the yummy looking donuts you see here on Yelp. Our waiter said they only had them for the first couple weeks when the opened! Once I arrived I was put on a waitlist , understandable , they're busy . However as a party of 2 , there were at least 4 tables I counted that was available . Other parties before us were much larger . The one table we were looking at has been vacant the WHOLE time of us waiting , ONLY for them to sit us at that same vacant table . The menu is what enticed us to come but the staff's energy isn't as attractive as the menu . We were sitting for 10 minutes before we were addressed by a waitress . Another couple (non black) sat down 10 minutes after us and was greeted after 2 minutes . There was also this weird thing on the ketchup bottle , I was scared to touch it . Do they even sanitize these after use ? I also just witnessed a staff member "clean the table" with her bare hands . You GOT to be kidding me . Also , they have DOORS for people to walk through , instead they had groups of people walking past our table while we eat . The guest who were waiting to be seated would crowd by the railing we were sitting near and I had the undesirable view of peoples ASS in my face . The food was PHENOMENAL as well as they guy who brought it to us , but the experience was not good enough for me to want to come back . As this being my first experience , it was not a good one .
