Host and waiters are god awful. I wasn't able to get names because they do not wear name tags, but the host or whatever she is with a lot of makeup and black ponytail had ASKED my husband and I if we wanted to sit at the table or booth. As we continued to eat, 2 waiters and 1 waitress were just talking some nonsense and just stood at their register. We felt uncomfortable. I suggest and recommend that the employees at Maxie's go through another training or something. The 4 days that I was in Nevada, we never experienced some of the nastiest attitudes ever. It's not wonder why there wasn't any people when we went there! And I usually never write an awful review but this one has got to be the worst. Do better! read more

With the attitude of the wait staff, I can understand why it was pretty empty. I went to Maxies on my birthday vacation and the service was horrible, the waitress bypassed me and my fiancé without even bringing us straws to drink out to the WORN blue plastic cups that they bring your water in when you first sit down. We watched her go back & forth and never asking us if things were ok or if we needed anything at all. Then when I asked the woman at the front of the house to see the manager while waiting, the waitress comes over and says would you like to check out and I say I don't need your help I'm waiting for the manager and she says well I wasn't waiting on your table so...after a 10 minute I spoke to the manager and she asked what they could do and I said nothing but give me my check so I could pay & leave their establishment, Km NEVER going BACK read more

This was a very interesting experience. I had looked up this restaurant prior to eating it via Yelp and IG. Food looks phenomenal. So I had a party of 8 and decided to roll in. The presentation of the food was nothing short of incredible. The dishes came out plated in unique fashions, and had a very appealing appearance! The menu consists of clever combinations of food and the dining area definitely has a satisfying ambiance that reminded me of an old 50s diner. The service was great , no doubt about that. But the most important part of the dining experience, eating the food, fell flat for me. The presentation does not mean the food tastes good. The chorizo, guacamole eggs Benedict did not hit the bar. The chorizo was unseasoned and the bread that replaces the English muffin for the benedict was tall and dry. Too much bread and not enough meat and sauce. This goes for the other two eggs benedict as well. Also it consisted of 2 or 3 TINY poached eggs. The chicken and waffles was good, but again, too dry. Without enough syrup my buddy was able to moisten up the waffle and make the dish work. They definitely shined when it came to the fruity pebble French Toast! Everyone was ranting and raving about that particular menu item. All in all, a solid experience and none of these things would stop me from giving it another chance. 4 stars! read more

Went with 9 of us for breakfast just in time for the breakfast "special". It is $9.95 for 2 eggs with either 2 bacon or 2 sausage, does not include potatoes or toast, but does come with coffee, not all of us drink coffee. The bacon was super salty, one of us wouldn't eat it because she said it was like plastic bacon. I ordered my eggs over well and they did them over hard, definitely not a knowledgeable breakfast cook. I mentioned it to the person who was clearing plates that my eggs were not right and I didn't eat them, and she just took my plate away, ended up being $9.95 for 2 slices of bacon! Before ordering the special I asked the waiter if it was possible to get just 1 gluten free pancake. He said no we only have them in stacks, $14. I've never had anyone say, they couldn't do that, why can't I order just 1 pancake?! Well, to be fair, I could order 1 but it was the same price. The waiter came back when most of us were almost done to see if everything was okay, my husband hadn't even got his meal yet, he didn't order the special so his came with toast and they had brought that but nothing else!! The waiter looked surprised and went to check on it, came back and said they were making it. His came with potatoes and toast so not sure why it took so long! Our service was not good, no coffee or water refills, poor check back to see if breakfast was okay, not very friendly interaction at all. Save your money go somewhere else. read more

Came here on a Friday night and honestly couldn't believe there were not more people eating here. The food is delicious! We had a chicken pot pie, loaded nachos and Mac n cheese. The portions were huge! I was with a bunch of picky eaters and we were all able to find something on the menu and that's hard with the group of people I was with. We loved it so much, we decided to come back on Sunday. This time, same group ordered the pepperoni grilled cheese, wings and fruity pebble French toast. Shakes are awesome as well. OMG, it was all so good!!! A few of us are trying to figure out how to make this ourselves at home because it was soo good. What more can we ask for? Good food and good service! Maxis food is visually appealing. Very fun and unique ideas! If you love sugar this is the place for you. The fruity pebble french toast is good but you make get over it after a few bites. Just very sweet and the cream cheese is thick. The chicken and waffle was disappointing because the skin on the chicken strip kept falling off. And if you love chicken then you know that's a big no-no! If you have kids it's a fun place for them. Otherwise there are many other breakfast options on the strip. read more
