Place is a grotesque mix of old diner style and stupidly expensive food. The food is stale and flavorless, especially for the limited portions they provide. The guacamole was a disappointment, as it tasted more like Play-Doh then avocado. Overall it was a horrible experience, and one which I won't be retrying any time soon. read more

I got 3 huge pancakes with a measly scattering of banana, blueberry, strawberries. The strawberries were mealy. Not impressed. Atmosphere is a B. It's cute and clean. Going back to the price. I am a local that lives here in Las Vegas, I actually work at Kemo Sabe at the Forums. We have been to the sister store Smoked BBQ restaurant at the forums and it was amazing and we had them cater our work event. My friend and I wanted to try Maxies, and it was amazing we had amazing service from Kelly. She was very attentive and always made sure we didn't see the bottom of our glasses! Vacationing in Vegas decided to have breakfast at this place the young and mature blonde girl at the front desk did not want to seat me where I wanted to be seated I was not being unreasonable I just wanted a bigger table not that I was asking for an eight seater but the next table up in size was four it was 8:17 in the morning I was the fourth customer in pretty much empty she refused to sit me where I wanted so I was about to leave then a waitress came up to me asking me if everything's OK I said no I told her she really refusing to see me where I want to sit comfortably the waitress was kind enough to oblige me with a four seater table I was very upset at that time I told her no thank you I went up to the blonde girl immature blonde girl and I told her she is very inexperienced and her customer service skills suck! I left just ended up calling the supervisor and he refused to give me his name and that he said no I'm not giving you my name how may I help you that's not the way I like to start a conversation I told him I'm giving a bad review on yelp and that's exactly what I'm doing. I hear they have great food never tried it never well at this point because of bad customer service skills! I do not recommend going to the restaurant only because of bad customer service skills on the part of the employee and especially on the part of the manager who refused to give me his name. Do not go to this restaurant on the strip near the LINQ hotel. I'm only giving it one star because the system will not post my review otherwise. read more

I never write reviews. This place just pissed me off. I was greeted by a host who was very nice. She asked me if I was dining in or taking out. I told her I wanted to order to go. So she pointed me inside to place my order. I kid you not I stood there for a good 10-15 minutes with 8 employees around me and no one said a word to me but at least 3 or 4 people looked at me. This type of customer service is absolutely ridiculous. read more

We were walking around The Linq and wanted a quick bite to eat to hold us off before dinner. Didn't offer any salads on the menu so we decided on sandwiches and nachos. We asked for a side of fries to come out first as an app for the kids and that never happened. Had to ask for silverware. Asked for a side plate and again never happened. When the food arrived everyone's fries and the nachos were cold so we knew it was sitting for a bit and no one was running it out. The nachos were awful as it tasted like poor quality cheese wiz. The server was nice but either needed help or lacked some experience. The thing that really bothered me the most though was how dirty the restaurant was. The floors had garbage everywhere. A quick floor sweep would have helped the appearance. All of our condiments were dirty too and looked like they weren't cleaned or wiped in quite some time. No sight of any management helping the front of the house staff with these issues. Boils down to the experience just feeling like a tourist trap. Corporate do better and help these people out so you have happier guest experiences and in return a happier more productive staff. read more

Yesterday I went to Maxie's and placed a spot for party of 6. They said it will take an hour. When the hour ended I was ready to be seated but the hostess said in a rude manner " your whole party has to be here" then she kept counting down my minutes, "now you have 8 minutes". Half my party then showed up and they said we can't sit you. You will be holding up our waitresses. You need at least one more person. Finally when we got one more person they said too late the table is gone. 3 minutes later my other two party member show up. They went up to the hostess and said a different name for 6 and they said we can sit you in 2 minutes. Not knowing we are the same party. The waitress lied to us about giving up our table. What's worse my friend that got the table is a white male and I'm a young adult Hispanic. I never got mistreated as much as I did at this restaurant. Please watch out for both the hostess. read more

I've been there twice for breakfast. First time I had the Reuben sandwich which was awesome. I wanted to try the blue berry clucker, so I had it the next time I went in. My daughter loved the fruity pebbles French toast. She couldn't finish it so we took it home where I finished it for her and have been thinking about it ever since. Will definitely go back! Worst TO-GO Experience. The hostess is completely inept and should not be in customer service. We first called the restaurant and asked to place a to-go order and the hostess informed us they do not take to-go orders over the phone and we must place to-go orders in person. We show up in person and place our to-go order with the bartender and we were told it would be about 10-15 minutes before ready. We waited outside in the designated patio area. I was informed by the hostess, because of my dog I could not wait within 5 feet of the (completely empty) patio area, so I patiently waited across the walkway. There were not many to-go orders placed this morning as most customers walking in were being seated in the restaurant. After about 15 minutes waiting, I noticed a to-go order sitting by the bartender where we placed our order. After exactly 20 minutes from the time on our receipt, I asked the hostess to please check on our food. She went back into the restaurant and returned to help other customers with no further communication to us. After seating the customers, she returned to her stand where she proceeded to ignore us. After 25 minutes, I decide to surpass the hostess and ask the busy bartender. I waited for a few minutes until the bartender was available and asked to check on my food order. She handed me the bag of food that had been on the counter for no less that 10 minutes and stated that I did not answer to my name being called when the order was ready. We were the only customers waiting outside on a Thursday morning at 9:30AM and that bag never left that counter to be auctioned off outside. The hostess should have recognized we were still waiting on our food well before I asked her to check on it and was ignored. Needless to say, our food was cold. We left frustrated, not by the food, but by the customer service that should be so simple to manage for a to-go order. read more
