I gave this place 3 stars because the Halo-Halo was the best thing we ordered--it was delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rest was disappointing. The pancit was far too salty, and the Shanghai lumpia was, honestly, some of the worst I've had. I was surprised by how bad it tasted. I won't be coming back. If I'm craving Halo-Halo, I'll just head to Manila Sunset. And if I'm desperate for pancit, I'll ask my sister-in-law to make it instead. read more

We phoned-in an order to go, scheduled for pickup at 4:00 pm. We were flying in from Sacramento and expected to arrive at around 3:00 pm in Sea-Tac. Our plane was a little delayed and we arrived at around 3:30 and arrived to pick up our Max's order at around 4:10. It took staff to come to the counter around 10 minutes! When we inquired about our order, the man in the counter non-chalantly informs us that our order is still being processed without even checking the bags already on the take-out counter. We patiently waited...15 minutes pass and another girl comes by and asks us if we've been seen to, When we gave our order name, she checks the bags already in the counter and lo and behold! Our order was always there! Such incompetence from the former staff member who met us! A countryman of mine at the same time, I'm ashamed to say... The food was just below par. The kare-kare was mostly soup almost devoid of meat and vegetables. The bangus sisig was riddled with fish bones! The chicken sisig,,,the chicken was dry. The pansit bihon noodles was clumped together. The chop suey lacked seasoning and tasted bland. The only saving grace was the fried chicken... We came to this place to get good Filipino food knowing the reputation that Max's is known for, This Max's location just failed dismally, I'd recommend avoiding this location! read more

It's disappointing to give this restaurant a one-star review. Max's was our first choice for dinner tonight, but we waited a long time to be seated even though the restaurant was not busy at all. After finally being seated, we waited again with no one coming to take our order or even acknowledge us. In disbelief, my husband and I eventually decided to leave and go to a different restaurant. The restaurant was rented out so seats were limited to the tables along the wall. We had to wait a bit but not too bad. It was super loud because of the parties which was ok. Always nice to see happy people. The service was good because the servers were still friendly trying to speak loud enough to talk over the loud music but kind of took a while, I'm guessing because they were busy with the parties. Saddest part was the food. The sisig was a super thin layer definitely not a shareable platter at that size. The pinakbet was just ampalaya and the pansit was dry. If I brought a date here to try Filipino food I'd be embarrassed. For the price and quality you're better off at grill city. Filipino food should be served with pride. This wasn't it. This was our second year spending Thanksgiving here, and we love that they offer a family holiday price--it makes lunch so convenient and saves us so much time from cooking. It's the perfect option for anyone who doesn't want to cook or deal with the cleanup. Service was quick once we were seated, and they brought out the Thanksgiving specials for all three of our families efficiently. Our server was the same person we had last year, so she was already familiar with us, which made the experience even better. My only hope is that they prepare a bit more for large parties next year. We went to Max's for lunch to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. We'd heard good things about their fried chicken and Filipino dishes, so we ordered a variety of items for our group of 11. We probably ordered more than we needed, but we wanted to try several popular dishes. We got two orders each of: * Lumpia Shanghai * Pinakbet * Fried Chicken * Chicken Sisig * Kare Kare * Bicol Express * Lechon Sisig * Pork Adobo * Pancit Canton * Rice Everything tasted great. My personal favorites were the Lumpia Shanghai, Fried Chicken, and Kare Kare. We had plenty of leftovers to take home, and the total bill was around $468. Visited this place on 7/9/2026 for a late lunch. Nice place, its clean, food and service was great. Compared to Max's in Hawaii is the same. Only reason for the one less star is that the radio from the kitchen can be heard throughout the dining area. Not sure why they needed it that loud since the dining area had its own music, but at least the kitchens music was okay, but just blaring. read more

Honestly this was such a good find! We were around the southcenter parkway area to do some last min Christmas shopping and got a little hungry so decided to come check it out. The service was absolutely quick and super attentive, when I tell you they sat us down quick and got our order quick and brought it out quick like wow. The food was AMAZING like hello no wonder why their chicken was famous lol. We had also ordered some pancit and lomi which were super good, overall everything we ordered were super good even our drinks too especially their calamansi! The ambiance of the place is actually way more spacious than I thought it would be and since it's the holidays it was decorated for the Christmas season and that was super nice. This is the best Filipino food I've had in the seattle area. We ordered the Kare kare, Laing, and the whole fried chicken. The kare kare sauce was super tasty, but wish there was more oxtail and veggies for the amount of sauce there is. I have been craving Laing as well and this really hit the spot. The chicken skin was also sooo good, but the banana ketchup was really watery and was sweeter than actual banana ketchup. I also really enjoyed that they gave little cups of shrimp paste on the side and are able to get extra. We got our food quickly and had multiple people check in on how we were enjoying the food. They also have a party room in the back so we had groups singing karaoke in the background. Overall, loved the vibes and definitely need to go back and try more things on the menu. read more

Got here on a Friday night around 6pm and my party of 3 got seated very quickly since there's tons of tables and booths and it wasn't busy at all. Place is very clean and spacious, so it's surprising that the location of its front door makes it feel like a literal hole-in-the-wall joint. This is your regular dine-in restaurant with a good selection of food. My group and I ordered a whole fried chicken, a lechon kawali sisig, pork adobo and a large bowl of garlic rice. We overestimated what we could get here, but it was still worth getting. - The fried chicken was definitely the best part of the meal. The skin was flavorful and crispy, and also came with a small set of fries. There wasn't as much meat as I would have wanted in both pieces, though. - The lechon kawali sisig was a nice mix of salty and savory at the same time. Some pieces were harder to chew than others, and adding the lemon somehow added conflicting tastes to the meat that I'm just not sure how to describe. Combining it with the garlic rice is definitely a great way to enjoy it. - The garlic rice was all right, nothing special about it. It was white rice with garlic bits sprinkled and mixed. - The adobo in my friend's pork adobo dish was yummy as well. I ordered the lechon and fried tofu, not sure if the lechon was left out for too long, but i have been having trouble digesting anything properly since I've eaten that. Garlic rice used the pre chopped garlic from a jar so the garlic scent wasn't as strong as I would like. Halo halo had pieces of jelly and flan, Rice Krispies and a piece of flan. I'll start with the bad. This place is severely understaffed, and even more so when they have a large event that they have to cater to. They have a room in the back for parties and celebration that can accommodate about 30 people. This is my second time going to this restaurant and each time we're left waiting for a good amount of time to be seated and to be served. Even paying for our check, we're standing at the front desk desperately waiting to pay and leave. They got a couple of orders wrong on our second visit to this place, like incorrect drinks and sides; if i'm you ask for garlic rice you may get plain rice, if you ask for sierra mist you may get plain club soda. Okay the bad is out of the way, the food is phenomenal, their sigsig is nicely marinated and sizzling upon arrival; it pairs well with their garlic rice and karekare. Karekare has a good amount of peanut sauce, a fair amount of bokchoy, the oxtails have decent amount of meat attached. Their lumpia shanghai is addictive, especially when dipped in their in-house banana sauce. Pinakbet is marinated nicely in its shrimp based soup; it has a generous amount of gulay, vegetables like squash, eggplant and string beans. And their half fried chicken is on point; not too greasy and the skin is thin with the right amount of crunch; this is worth pairing with their garlic rice with their signature sauce. I'd come back again, the food is quite authentic, but anticipate some order mix ups and mediocre service! read more

I ordered the bulalo ($30), rice, and crispy pata. When the bulalo arrived, there was no corn or bulalo. I asked the waiter if he got my order wrong. This looked like milage ($20). He said that that was bulalo. Me: how can thi be bulalo when there's no bulalo? I even showed him the Pic on their menu that had corn and bulalo. He left upset when I sent it back. The service in their place was really bad. It seems like all the workers hang out in the back (maybe short staffed) but I had to wait 5 minutes to get seated. I've wanted to come here for quite a while because I've never had Filipino food before and wanted to give it a try. The main problem is they don't have enough people working at the restaurant; we stood at the front area waiting for someone to seat us for five minutes. We were about to leave when someone finally came out from the back (after I ran the bell, which felt very weird). We ordered right away, and the food came out in a reasonable time. The chicken was definitely crispy and cooked perfectly (delicious skin!). It was tasty, but very plain as it had no added flavour. We tried the banana ketchup + Worcestershire sauce + hot sauce mix. It wasn't a great flavour because the banana ketchup is so overpowering. It's a good-sized chicken, but 12 french fries, some of them half-sized? Really? Potatoes are cheap, and for $21 you'd think you'd get more. We finished up and waited to pay, but no one ever came back. I had to go find someone and was the same overworked lady who seated us. This was our first time eating Filipino food. We didn't really have a clue on what to order, it would have been cool to have pics or descriptions of the food. We basically just picked something off the menu not knowing what we were getting. The server asked if it was our first time and we said yes but he didn't offer any help or suggestions (for next time) until after we finished our meal. I went here with my family last week. It was all our first time in this Max's Restaurant. I had been to Max in Glendale. We ordered Kare-Kare, Fried Bangus, Extra Crispy Fried Chicken (OF COURSE!), garlic fried rice, and Beef Steak aka Beek stik! The beef was cut thinly that it was so tender. I always ask for side of lemons because I like mine sour. It was Yummy. The Kare-Kare had a lot of broth which I really liked. I have had Kare-Kare where there was hardly any broth but this was excellent. The fried chicken was great with extra crispiness. Just like I had requested. The bangus with vinegar-you can't go wrong with fried fish! The servers were kind and respectful! The service was quick! The place was clean with an all floor restaurant. The place is actually in Tukwila and not in Seattle. If you haven't been here, give it a try and see for yourself.
