    Thanksgiving spread
    Joy L.

This was our second year spending Thanksgiving here, and we love that they offer a family holiday price--it makes lunch so convenient and saves us so much time from cooking. It's the perfect option for anyone who doesn't want to cook or deal with the cleanup. Service was quick once we were seated, and they brought out the Thanksgiving specials for all three of our families efficiently. Our server was the same person we had last year, so she was already familiar with us, which made the experience even better. My only hope is that they prepare a bit more for large parties next year. Aside from that, the food and service were amazing, and we're already looking forward to coming back next Thanksgiving!

We went to Max's for lunch to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. We'd heard good things about their fried chicken and Filipino dishes, so we ordered a variety of items for our group of 11. We probably ordered more than we needed, but we wanted to try several popular dishes. We got two orders each of: * Lumpia Shanghai * Pinakbet * Fried Chicken * Chicken Sisig * Kare Kare * Bicol Express * Lechon Sisig * Pork Adobo * Pancit Canton * Rice Everything tasted great. My personal favorites were the Lumpia Shanghai, Fried Chicken, and Kare Kare. We had plenty of leftovers to take home, and the total bill was around $468. I'd come back for my favorite dishes again and would like to try their Halo-Halo next time.

Honestly this was such a good find! We were around the southcenter parkway area to do some last min Christmas shopping and got a little hungry so decided to come check it out. The service was absolutely quick and super attentive, when I tell you they sat us down quick and got our order quick and brought it out quick like wow. The food was AMAZING like hello no wonder why their chicken was famous lol. We had also ordered some pancit and lomi which were super good, overall everything we ordered were super good even our drinks too especially their calamansi! The ambiance of the place is actually way more spacious than I thought it would be and since it's the holidays it was decorated for the Christmas season and that was super nice. Definitely come here as a group to eat or even to try out Filipino food.

This is the best Filipino food I've had in the seattle area. We ordered the Kare kare, Laing, and the whole fried chicken. The kare kare sauce was super tasty, but wish there was more oxtail and veggies for the amount of sauce there is. I have been craving Laing as well and this really hit the spot. The chicken skin was also sooo good, but the banana ketchup was really watery and was sweeter than actual banana ketchup. I also really enjoyed that they gave little cups of shrimp paste on the side and are able to get extra. We got our food quickly and had multiple people check in on how we were enjoying the food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a party room in the back so we had groups singing karaoke in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, loved the vibes and definitely need to go back and try more things on the menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Got here on a Friday night around 6pm and my party of 3 got seated very quickly since there's tons of tables and booths and it wasn't busy at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is very clean and spacious, so it's surprising that the location of its front door makes it feel like a literal hole-in-the-wall joint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is your regular dine-in restaurant with a good selection of food. My group and I ordered a whole fried chicken, a lechon kawali sisig, pork adobo and a large bowl of garlic rice. We overestimated what we could get here, but it was still worth getting. - The fried chicken was definitely the best part of the meal. The skin was flavorful and crispy, and also came with a small set of fries. There wasn't as much meat as I would have wanted in both pieces, though. - The lechon kawali sisig was a nice mix of salty and savory at the same time. Some pieces were harder to chew than others, and adding the lemon somehow added conflicting tastes to the meat that I'm just not sure how to describe. Combining it with the garlic rice is definitely a great way to enjoy it. - The garlic rice was all right, nothing special about it. It was white rice with garlic bits sprinkled and mixed. - The adobo in my friend's pork adobo dish was yummy as well. Dishes here were overall just all right, otherwise the quality could have been better for some of the stuff I got.

When you have a filipino wife, you have to find filipino food. We've tried several maxs. This was one of the better ones. Sisig is always one of my favorite dishes here. The pancit was very good. Pretty good sized portions.

How do you promote a promotion for your $8 chicken in your 80th anniversary and not be prepared for the demands? Saw one person working in the front to care for dine in patrons, give out already ordered $8 chicken, and can't take new orders. Less than 20 people when I got there and watch the unorganized promotion run by a business that was definitely act like they are new. I understand understaff but definitely should have been more prepared.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance. Very open, lots of seating especially for large parties. Eating alone would look awkward. Modern and clean lines[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Service. Friendly and accommodating. Products. Always does not compare to homemade, but better than decent for restaurant quality. The Lechon (pork belly) was my favorite, but need a lot more sauce. Of note. Lot parking and loos clean and stocked. Overall. Good place to take a newbie. Would rather do takeout.

Though we originally came for the chicken, we ended up getting more than we needed! We could wasily make what we got here at home, but why not! Since we came the moment they opened, service was quick and fresh! [[HIGHLIGHT]]You could hear the best songs playing while you hear the chefs singing their hearts out tg![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bunch of laughter and fun-a pre-mothers day dinner![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Halo halo
    Yen D.

Food came out quickly. The fried chicken has unseasoned skin but it is crispy. The meat itself was a bit too dry. Sinigag with pork was good. Garlic rice used the pre chopped garlic from a jar so the garlic scent wasn't as strong as I would like. Halo halo had pieces of jelly and flan, Rice Krispies and a piece of flan. I'm more into the batter of the chicken skin so this isn't quite my taste.

    "Remade" Bistek

Ordered the Bistek and it seems we got oil with a side of bistek (see video). Asked the manager if it was normal and she said yes but then instantly took it back to get remade. When asked if we could just take it off the tab she said no as it was already being remade. Not even 2 minutes later the "new" bowl (photo) came out. If it was normal the first time why get it remade? And why did it only take 2 minutes to remake it? Disappointing considering this dish was $17. Service wasn't that great either.

We decided to come here for a lunch with the fam and it was pretty good! We really enjoyed the pork sisig, lumpia and the kare-Kare. The service was AMAZING!

Large garlic rice. Enough for 3-5 people
    Erica C.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is nice and restaurant clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is good, garlic rice $12 large good deal. Small garlic rice for $7. Sago gulaman $6, many toppings. Lovely, average price compared to other places. Lechon kawali sisig delicious, they don't have an egg tho.... That kinda sucks. The lechon was super crunchy, some parts of the meat were juicy and hints of the crispy fat was amazing. We're on the hunt for the mayo style sisig, but this one is still good. We'd love to come back and try the chicken. Saw other customers get it and it looked very tempting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quiet during a Sunday night dinner before 7pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had plenty of sisig and rice to take home so we had it for breakfast and added some mayo and egg. So good!

They do have a really nice meal deal during breakfast where if you buy one breakfast combo meal then you get one for free and it seems like they will go past the allotted time as we got it minutes before it ended but they were doing it for customers after us. The food here is alright, it's not really food that tastes like it was prepared with love and care like homemade meal but again just to satisfy a craving or get Filipino food. The BBQ skewers here are good and that's what my boyfriend's mom gets for us whenever she is in the area. The kare kare here was pretty meh and definitely not worth the price. The pancit was decent but I definitely make it better so not worth getting. The chicken tocino at breakfast was delicious and I have not seen chicken tocino served at other Filipino establishments so it was neat that they had that as a option. The coffee you get for breakfast is pretty meh and they didn't offer us any creamer and gave us four sugar packets. The service here is pretty slow for no real reason and the staff doesn't seem to have a sense of urgency. There are plenty of tables and chairs to choose from and they have a good variety of foods available including a slurp alley (dim sum, hot pot and more). They are located inside the Seafood City.

I don't think I've had anything that was meh at this location and this spot gets very busy, but despite that you will get a buzzer to let you know when you come get your food or if you did an online order then there is a section where you can tell them your name and they will usually have it ready for you. The staff here are very friendly and helpful in assisting customers. They are also bilingual so you can speak Tagalog or English! There is quite a bit of seating from solo, couples, and family seating. The most recent visit, I noticed they didn't have tables and chairs at the front but they also are doing a FFXIV collab so they were probably really busy. Speaking of the FFXIV collab, this location had the limited drink and it was pretty good. It does just taste like a watered down Gatorade but I did enjoy the crystal boba and they included a generous serving of it. I also appreciate that FFXIV themed buckets, boxes, and cups are only given to those who order the FFXIV items so that way people who actually want them get them.

The food is generally good, with two exceptions: the lobster and the steamed snow crab. Lobster takes about20 to 25 minutes to steam each one, and the line gets incredibly long during dinner. During my 1 and a half hour visit, I only managed to eat half of a lobster. Some guests would receive their lobster halves, have their spouses save them at the table, and then immediately get back in line for more, sometimes cutting in front of people who'd been waiting, which felt frustrating. The steamed snow crab was overly salty and much softer than expected, and the legs and claws could be squeezed easily, which made them seem overcooked. On the plus side, one nice improvement is that the restaurant now offers self-serve fountain drinks, including soft drinks, tea, and coffee. One thing that left a bad impression was the payment experience. Since tipping is optional, I crossed out the tip line and paid the exact amount due. Afterward, two employees spoke to each other in Chinese while looking in my direction, and I felt uncomfortable, as if they might be commenting on me not leaving a tip. I can't be certain what they were saying, but the interaction made me feel unwelcome. Aside from the lobster and snow crab, the rest of the food was good, with a nice variety to choose from. The total cost was approximately $49 per person, including tax. If you're mainly coming for the lobster, be prepared for a long wait. But if you're interested in the rest of the buffet, it's still a decent value.
