Max's cheesesteaks broad and Erie has been a pastime for me while growing up here in Philadelphia I stopped by I hadn't been in town for a minute and I had a taste for an outstanding cheesesteak while I haven't had the opportunity to enjoy my steak I encountered an individual that suggests that I have been trouble making truth be told I'm not a troublemaker I'm a respectful human being well one thing led to another I felt offended and I left like I don't want any trouble or problems I noticed when I packed my well deserved State into the car I noticed I had to use the restroom so I double backed inside the restaurant to use the laboratories while exiting I saw old acquaintance so I decided to stop and connect before leaving the establishment I was then I was then approached by the I guess bouncer pretty big guy that suggested I had to leave now I hadn't been trespassed or even kicked out I elected to leave while trying to leave the establishment the bouncer walked on my shoes while I was dressed up walked on the hill of my shoes multiple times I tried to turn around to suggest that he stopped you know walking on my shoes and allowed me to exit The Establishment it was then when I was blindsided and I have PTSD from being blindsided and other situations so they don't get myself of improvement I was wrong to choose to go to Max's over my pie in the sky intention at Friday's on City line avenue I regret my choice to stop in to establishment that I value which I value no longer and will never ever ever go in such a hood establishment that treats their patrons is such a manner good luck if you go to this establishment is all I have to offer On top of that in the process of being attacked I don't have my glasses to be able to safely drive home but don't fret I'll make it but it's one thing I'll never make it and that's back to Max's cheesesteak on Erie and broad proceed with caution and I would like the owner of this establishment to answer this horrible treatment that I received in their establishment see you in small claims court you have to replace my glasses read more

Set in the Northwest Philly hood, Max's has cheesesteaks worth dying for. Just kidding...kind of. I'm serious about the cheesesteaks, they are incredible. And as long as you go during the day, the neighborhood feels safe. There is something about the meat that is so juicy and flavorful. It could be the man at the grill hacking away at massive blocks of meat with a machete or the variety of toppings and condiments, but whatever it is, Max's cheesesteaks stand out above any other cheesesteak I've tried. This seems to be the general consensus of a few people born and raised in Philly that I have talked to. The atmosphere there is also lively and interesting. Couples gyrate in the back room, groups of people play cards, and there is a poster in the front of the restaurant entitled "Pimps in the Pulpit"; an advertisement for a book released next month. I decided to go visit this place because of the Movie 'Creed'... My feedback is, "Don't go". Don't even waste your time. They fell off completely. The hospitality is horrible and the wait isn't even worth it. There's a guy who cooks the food and a guy for prepared it for you. The guy that cooks the food takes out the trash as well. (Who knows if he wastes his hands when he returns.) The guy that prepares the food is a complete jerk. He feels like he has the power to say anything and make you feel like you need their food or something. His attitude makes you want to walk out without the food. Not to mention that I tried to order a bottle of wine from the back of the bar where the actor "Creed" sat, and they didn't even know the price of their own product. The whole time I was there, I felt like we were going to get robbed. Guys was selling products inside the venue as well! Anyway, this is the last time they will see me up in there. Great place for an Authentic Philly cheese steak or hoagie as they call them lol yeah the lines can be long the best days I realized you gotta go is Monday through Thursday between 12-2pm they are fast and friendly, I have been coming here for years The day shift is the best even when you mess or they they are still polite and friendly they have a new guy he is nice too I think his name is Ryan or something like that. I went to Max's Steaks tonight and stood in line for about an hour before finally getting to go insid, then, waited another hour or more just to get my food. They have a poor system of getting customers their food when they have the onions, steak,bread, and everything else sitting right in front of them. I came from out of state and went there and was very disappointed and one of the male workers kept getting smart with customers. Customers shouldn't have to wait that long when they have the food already ready in front of them. They do too much talking and not enough fixing peoples food. I will never go back there again. I believe they sell drugs out of there and cook does not use any seasoning no flavor what so ever...stay away especially if you traveling with children because it connected to a bar where the cashier was so rude.
