The on-site execution was handled exceptionally well by Project Manager / Foreman Ezequiel Mas and his 2 crew members. Communication: Ezequiel Mas spoke English well, was honest, transparent, and easy to work with when asked direct questions. While he was not naturally proactive in communicating updates, he responded clearly and openly when questions were asked directly and persistently. Collaboration: Ezequiel Mas was very responsive to requests throughout the project. He assisted me with a long ladder so I could access my attic and conduct a 1.5-hour visual inspection after the R-38 insulation was installed. He also willingly provided photos of attic areas I could not easily inspect. Workmanship: Ezequiel Mas and his crew delivered strong workmanship throughout the project. They customized and installed galvanized wire mesh to prevent rodent access to the attic, replaced the old vent soffit with galvanized wire mesh alternative, and inspected all crawl space vents, sealing gaps where needed. Ezequiel also replaced 2 crawl space vents at no additional charge using materials I had purchased, which I appreciated. Most importantly, both Ezequiel and his crew were able to maneuver efficiently within the attic's tight spaces. From insulation removal and rodent-proofing to air sealing, sanitation, and R-38 insulation installation, they completed the work thoroughly and professionally. Post-Installation Homeowner Visual Inspection: I personally entered the attic and inspected all accessible areas. Based on my visual inspection, I confirmed: 1. R-38 insulation was present throughout the attic, generally ranging from 8 to 12 inches in depth. In areas where the insulation depth appeared lower than 10 to 12 inches in depth, Ezequiel explained that the insulation was more densely packed. 2. The tighter attic edge areas were insulated and did not contain noticeable voids. 3. Vent soffit openings remained unobstructed by insulation. 4. Areas requiring additional sealing were promptly addressed when identified during my inspection. A Few Notes for Future Homeowners: Scope Clarity: Be crystal clear on your contracted scope. Promotional add-ons (e.g., complimentary air duct or dryer vent cleaning) may end up serving more as a sales funnel than services actually performed. It's best to keep your focus strictly on the core work you need.
