We were told we must give this place as try before Portillo so here we are. This place is cash only, no indoor/outdoor seating. Strictly a take out place. I had the polish sandwich and it was very good. Service is very fast. Once ordered we got our food within minutes.

I've been coming here for years. We always bring our out of town visitors here. They are open 24 hours. I get the cheeseburger with fries and hot peppers every time. There's nothing like a simple cheeseburger with the mound of grilled onions and mustard. It's awesome coming here on a summertime Chi night and chowing down on your food outside the car then driving back north you get a lovely view of downtown Chicago lights.

Really good hot dogs with onions and a Jalapeño. Each meal comes with fries! The fries were good too

Been wanting to try this place out for a while now. Finally made it in. Service is great. They work quick and efficient. They're also very friendly. Price is very reasonable and the food will fill you up. I ordered a polish and a pork chop sandwich. The pork chop sandwich was very tasty. The pork chop was very tender and flavorful. I wasn't a big fan of their polish dog. It had no snap and tasty a little mushy. I'm glad I finally gave this place a try. I certainly won't be going out of my way to come here, but if I'm ever an the area, I might be down grab me some pork chop sandwiches.

No flavor. I have been wanting to try this place forever. So I finally gave it a shot and was pretty disappointed. I got the cheeseburger and fry combo, which was $5.30 with tax when writing this. They are fast with the service, but that is about it. It your looking for cheap drunk food this would be the place. I will stick with Jim's, because they are always a solid place and never disappoint.

I veered away from the Pork Chop sandwich but I did get the Polish Sausage. There was no better end to a night out after many nights out besides a cheap encased meat. 6.25 for a Polish sausage and fries, and a can of soda, the fries come with the sandwich and the soda is an extra dollar-I also 'sprung' for the extra onions and peppers, because it was time to splurge. I wasn't sure about the fries but it was actually pretty good and the sausage was pretty good AND quick. I thought there would be a small wait, but it was wrapped up immediately and we ate it right then and there. We brought an out of country guest who loved it as the perfect end to HIS end of night festivities as well.

definition of fast food! went in and went out. food quality is dcent as well same with the prices!

We ordered the pepperoni deep dish and the pepperoni tavern style. The deep dish arrives in a cast iron pan, featuring caramelized crust that edges on burnt for a perfect, crispy crunch. The base is thick and doughy, layered with some mozzarella, a tasty sauce, and slightly charred pepperoni. The tavern style provides a nice contrast. Served cut into squares, it has a solid thin crust that holds up nicely under some melted cheese and loads of flat pepperoni. This remains my absolute favorite deep dish in Chicago, and I go anytime I'm in town visiting. Pro tip: Make a reservation well in advance because walk-in wait times get incredibly long.

I had high expectations for this place but it was honestly underwhelming. The pizza had too much cheese, extra costs for adding toppings, and the crust was nothing memorable. Appetizers were good. My group shared jalapeño poppers and the chicken bites, good sized portion chicken and both came with sauce without asking so that was nice. Overall, I really wanted to like this place but it wasn't there as a tourist who's had pizza from different parts in the US. It was a nice try as a first and last time.

However we arrived earlier than scheduled and we ended up getting settled at our hotel so we walked and went in early. We arrived at 4pm and they let us in - was perfect because it wasn't busy. It's my son's first visit to Chi-town so I think this is a good first meal. We got the Chicago meatballs so we can eat something as the deep dish pizza takes 30 mins. The meatballs are flavorful and filled us up until we get our pizza. We picked the Malnati's Chicago classic - medium. The butter crust is really good and the cheese to meet ratio is balanced. While it is deep dish - it didn't feel like it's super thick, I think the butter crust was the difference. It was quiet when we arrived and we were seated in the dining area by the back in the ground level. There was only 1 group and another couple when we arrived so it wasn't loud. I'm sure when it's peak hours it'll be more festive and busy. Great first meal - order some starters if you're hungry. Medium was quite big for 2 people but good if you want to have some slices to-go.

As for the food, I don't really have another Chicago deep dish spot to compare it to, but deep dish just didn't quite hit for me. I expected a little more in both flavor and quantity. The sauce was SLAMMING, but overall the pizza felt a little flat compared to what I had built it up to be. Service could definitely use a little pick-me-up too, as our drinks were forgotten on two separate occasions. Funny enough, after asking a local, they said deep dish really isn't their jam either. Either way, it was something we had to experience while in Chicago and we can officially check deep dish pizza off the Chicago bucket list!

It was dark and way too cold for a summer afternoon. This place piqued our interest as we saw it was rated top in the world and supposedly better than deep dish. High expectations no doubt. We came with a party of six and had a reservation for six, but our table felt more appropriate for four people. The restaurant itself is spacious, so it was disappointing that we felt so cramped. We started with the calamari, which I really enjoyed. The batter was light and crispy without feeling greasy. We also shared the seafood pizza, duck prosciutto pizza, cup and char pepperoni pizza, and the gnocchi. All three pizzas were delicious, with very thin and crispy crusts. The seafood pizza came with a soup or broth that you could pour over it, which was nice and it also came with so much seafood. The cheese was slightly firm, but the pizza was still flavorful and enjoyable. The duck prosciutto had a noticeable duck aroma, melty cheese, and a rich, savory flavor. The cup and char pepperoni pizza was satisfying as well, especially the pepperoni with its crisp, curled edges. The gnocchi was another standout. It was satisfyingly chewy with a great texture and bold flavor. We finished with the tiramisu, which was light, balanced, and not overly sweet. Overall, the food was delicious and the waterfront setting made for a lovely dinner. I just wish we had been seated at a more comfortable table for our party size.
