    Ragin Cajun Pork
    Josh M.

Maxwell's is actually a favorite spot of mine, but I sadly have to give them 2 stars after this last visit. The Ragin' Cajun pork poboy was a joke. It had about 1/4 the amount of meat and grilled onions on it than you would imagine. The bread to meat ratio was about a 1 to 10. Maybe they were low on pork? Or maybe it's a new chef? I don't know, but my friend and I both were very disappointed in these sandwiches this time. Maxwell's is normally a home run, but this time was a bust. Please redeem yourself Maxwell!! I still have hope....

Can't believe I've never been here but it will not be my last. I had no idea they had a fresh meat case, a deli and Po boys, fried and grilled seafood and sandwiches salads. Even wine and some staples like pasta and gourmet snacks. I bought Fruit salad, chicken salad, chicken salad with nuts & fruit and tuna salad. All tasted so good I especially like the chicken salad also got a loaf of wheat berry bread that was so delicious. Can't wait to go back.

    Shrimp salad poboy

I have had a few things from here so far. My favorite is the shrimp salad poboy and the meatball poboy. The meatballs are homemade and the shrimp salad is so good! It has a bit of a kick and it's super flavorful! Their brownies are also amazing, and they have great selections!

    "medium rare" burger

What did my poor hamburger do to them? I ordered it medium rare...what happened? Why do I keep doing this to myself and ordering burgers? I have to remember to post when I have a good experience...which I do...I swear!

Fried seafood stuffed mushroom balls with a side of ranch. Heavenly & so flavorful!

Great go-to deli for lunch! I am a frequent flyer here of their lunch menu & grabbing party food items. *TIP*: Pick up the crab and brie dip & be prepared for endless compliments at your next party. Your welcome. Lunch favorites: -Roast beef po' boy- this is the closest style I have eaten in BR that resembles many in NOLA. It's messy, its juicy, its delish! -Strawberry spinach salad with Steak (chunks of tender beef & grilled portabellas) OR blackened SHRIMP (My usual I could eat that every damn day) -For you chicken salad lovers- top 5 in Baton Rouge for sure -BLT & Rustic specialty sandwiches are divine & fresh! I will probably go thru the entire menu before I die or before the end of the month. Their freezer is filled with pre-made food for a quick and easy dinner. And they have some other grocery style items & seafood/meat market. **ADVICE: call ahead and order takeout. Slim parking & seating. Has a tendency to have long wait times during peak lunch hours.**

This was my first time to stop at this location as I was traveling through to Mississippi and…read moreneeded to pit stop to stock up on supplies for others. This is by far the least crowded TJ's that I've been to so that was fun, though I wasn't able to find everything that I came in to look for. I called ahead on last Tuesday to ask if they had beefless bulgogi and a designated section for their meatless frozen products. I was told that they did, but guess what, I scoured the frozen selection and did not indeed find it. There was hardly anyone working on the floor which is pretty rare. Everything was mixed up into one which made it difficult to locate anything and was a bit annoying considering I was already pressed for time and needed to get to Mississippi. The plants out front was reasonably priced and I bought a few. On the way out to checkout, I chose Manager, Trinity line, but Trinity did not speak with me at all. She didn't even acknowledge me. It was very weird and not something that I've ever experienced at any TJ's that I've been to. Usually, the cashiers are the most bubbly out of any grocery store that I've shopped at. I prefer to shop at TJ's because of their solid products and their cashiers. I think next time I stop here, I won't go through Trinity's line. It was weird since the guy before me, was greeted and got a smile from her, but I asked her how she was doing and she treated me like a tree. Anyways, I tried the TJ's exclusive licorice and it was the real deal. The mango, raspberry, and green apple mix pack was very solid and tasty. I damn near ate the whole bag last night. I got it because it has actual licorice paste in it and not just high fructose corn syrup. Another snack that I like are the sweetened orange slices by TJ's; so very delicious, but another extremely the best snack are the jerk plantain chips. I love TJ's, but I wish TJ's was located in every state, so that all people can experience the goodness of the store. This location is pretty much in a safe looking area of Baton Rouge and not too far from I-10. The parking lot is shared with other establishments. I'll definitely be back.

I love Trader joe's! And this Trader Joe's is no different. They're well stocked, I always find…read morewhat I'm looking for, and a thousand things that I was not looking for lol. The employees are so kind and very helpful when I get lost in the aisles. All the food is fresh and yummy and I don't know what I would do without my Trader Joe's! And I'm actually okay with the '80s music on blast.
