We've gotten both takeout and delivery from May Thai Kitchen. The first time we were wowed by the food and were excited that they had different items like Corn and Cheese Puffs and Mushroom Dumplings on the menu (yeah I love appetizers!). Then they had our usuals like Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Pad Krakow, etc. All were traditional and not overly salty, sweet, or oily. Then another time we ordered and it was noticeable that the quality and quantity went down...one of the dishes was prepared spicy when we noted mild and that was way too freaking hot. Still undeterred and hopeful they just had an off day, we ordered again, but the food wasn't the same and the ingredients didn't taste fresh (meat was dry and over cooked) and we didn't touch the leftovers. I really wanted to make this a go-to for us, but after trying them 3x and being disappointed more than once, I'm hesitant to order from here again. FANTASTIC. Food was delicious. Recommend the lemongrass soup. Also service was wonderful.. which I can't say for most places nowadays. Our waitress was very friendly and went above and beyond. Like genuinely friendly which is so refreshing since usually I feel like at other restaurants the staff barely Acknowledges you. They have vegan/vegetarian options which is a huge plus!! And they can do large parties - there was a cute birthday celebration when we arrived. You can tell the people who run this place do it with love and hard work and it shows. I've always had great experiences here until today. I ordered Pad See Ew and calamari for takeout, but unfortunately, the food was extremely salty--almost like eating pure salt. He even noticed as soon as I dropped a utencil on the ground before I could ask for a replacement - he already had one on hand to drop off. The pad see ew was my personal favorite - so flavorful! Suggested this place to my cousin for our hang out time since my bro, who has high standards for food suggested it for our mom's Mother's Day celebration. Couldn't make it so happy to have been able to make it today. Initially, wasn't too sure about this restaurant since didn't have as many reviews as other search results. Though I learned that they just opened couple months ago. So they're building up their reputation. Enjoyed the clean, modern feel including the flowers. Dishes' presentation were really appealing. Never got pork rhines with papaya salad or having it shaved in two different levels of fineness. That was a nice touch. Appreciated how flat noodles were not mushy nor hard. And green beans had their ends cut off so you know they're prepping the vegetables. Also, even at mild spice level, the food was spicy without tasting watered down. Portion sizes were good for price paid. Bathroom was clean and smelled nice. And waitress, I believe the owner, was very attentive and pleasant to speak with. I was actly divided between 3 stars and 4 stars but I'm going to give 4 because it's a small, local business who's starting out and I hope they work out their kinks. First, I was rly unhappy with the packaging. It was unfortunate but the sauce leaked everywhere. It had to be the box on the top resulting in sauce all over the bag, sauce INTO THE MANGO STICKY RICE, sauce on the car. As for the food, I would return as a local and want Thai food nearby. It's a reliable choice. But for the price, I just can't help but feel if I rly wanted really good Thai, there are other options. The spicy eggplant is good though the eggplant tastes a bit more burnt than I would like it to be. The pineapple fried rice is rly mushy and no raisins nor cashews, but I also didn't rly like the flavoring. I feel like I've had better, I would not order this again. The pad see ew and pad Thai are also just ok. Pad Thai also doesn't come with peanuts. But their shrimp is rly big and it was good! Tho I'm not sure what was the added on price, it was between $2-$3. I feel like I would've really liked the mango sticky rice but because the eggplant sauce leaked into it, I lost interest. But the unaffected parts was really good! read more

My family loves Thai food, but unfortunately I wouldn't try this place again. The food was just okay. The sweet and sour fish was good, but not worth it because there was barely any meat on it. We asked If we could sub for filets instead of the whole fish since there was filets on the menu for the same price, but we were told no. The pumpkin curry was very very watery and the pumpkin was rock hard, we couldn't eat it. The pad see ew noodles were very very stuck together and not good. Usually a favorite of ours. I was kind of excited to get papaya salad especially " lao style " I specifically asked for SPICY. And it didn't satisfy my cravings or taste. Waitress was nice enough to remove from bill due to their non spicy peppers. And also the pork skin that's given with the salad was stale... couldn't enjoy the crunch. Taro puff was ok. I've had nam vanh before and the inside is good but combination with the dough was too much overfilling. Crispy salad was way too sweet like it was just sugar mostly. But crispness was great. I had called weeks in advance, arranged our reservation date/time with "PP" the chef and she was extra amazing. Additionally she listened to all my requests for family style kind of setting. We had planned a menu for our guests of the following: Apps -house salad (3/5): better than most other house salad in other places bc this one had more stuff in it. -Coconut soup-tofu (4.5/5): it's sweet and aromatic. I love sweet. -Beef larb (off menu, 3.5)): I should've done our regular order of chicken larb...I think personal preference -Corn cream cheese taro wontons (5/5): love these fried triangles; you know they made it bc where the heck can you buy these??!?? Entrees: -pad Thai tofu 5/5: always our fave but it was the last our entrees that came out.The flavors are on point. And it's all about how they cook the noodles, holding onto all those flavors -pumpkin curry-tofu (4.0): flavors good but the veggies could've been cut smaller -panang curry beef (5/5): this was the dinner's favorite dish. Meat tender soaking up all those spices. Dessert: -mango sticky rice (5/5): they use forbidden rice cooked to perfection (not too hard and not too mushy) which cuts into the sweetness of the mango and condensed milk. Such a nice balance -there was a special sweet roti dish made for son from the kitchen The team has new serving staff so service lagged a bit bc it was a busy night for them, growing pains of an amazing business but I'm sure they will figure it all out soon. I'm glad to see they are busy though bc we want them to not only survive the saturated industry but thrive. Prices are definitely fair, dishes are so delish and we will drive 5 hrs round trip from our home in the mountains to come here.
