Lemon chicken (made with fresh squeezed lemons)

We have been in Boulder 12 years, tried every Chinese restaurant, and May Wah is absolutely the best! Megan, the owner, really cares for this restaurant. She keeps it so clean. The servers have been there for years and I love every one of them. The menu haas so many options for Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai. My kids regularly request the pho or the Wonton soup, and both have light flavorful broth. The kids also love chicken on a skewer, pork pan fried dumplings, and edamame (we get these three things about once a week). I personally am head over heels for the lemon chicken which is hot, crispy and made with real lemon (not the bottled lemon juice like they use at other Chinese restaurants). I also love the Kung Pao Chicken, and BBQ Pork Pan Fried Noodle. I also order from here whenever we get a babysitter, and their delivery is fast and on time.

This restaurant is just a place I would go in a pinch. I really have nothing that spectacular to report except it was hot. I got a vegetable pho and the lady informed me I had to pay five dollars to add tofu so I ended up with an $18 bowl of soup. My friend had 1 ton soup and it was doable. But I certainly won't be craving May Wah restaurant when I come back this way.

My husband and I have been going here for over 15 years and it is hands down the best Vietnamese food in Boulder! The food is always fresh, consistent, the staff is so friendly and the owner personally knows her customers. I order the Vietnamese grilled beef with rice paper and it's incredible (kind of like make your own spring rolls) and there is no better sesame chicken in Colorado. I have had 100's of meals here and I have nothing but positive things to say about this family run establishment! Don't miss out!

Nice ambiance, good food and peaceful service. We always go for the Wonton soup! Keep in mind that the small bowl will feed a toddler and the large bowl only feeds 2 adults.

We tried it this evening and liked it a lot. I see why it is so popular. But do know they do not have identical menu items to the Denver locations. This fact did cause me to be disappointed when one of the items arrived at the table. My husband loved it though, as he is a big fan of cream cheese which I am not. I only eat items like NY cheesecake and on bagels with lox. What I wanted to try was the roasted duck dumpling but got the fried wonton with cream cheese and duck. It had a good sauce as well as a slice of mango and a pinch of pea shoots on the top. I do love baby pea shoots and though not what I envisioned, I did eat my portion. The shrimp spring rolls were some of the best I have had in a while. I had a hot oolong tea and my husband had a Thai tea. We both liked our drinks which were exactly as we expected. We also had a "small" plate of bbq chicken which was hardly a small thing. A large tasty section of chicken on a bed of lettuce with a side of shredded carrot and cabbage with a very nice sauce. It was perfect for my husband but as I am not allowed chicken skin, it was harder to eat but tasty. Such a bigger serving than we expected, we brought enough home for lunch tomorrow. The staff were friendly, helpful yet not intrusive. The setting was perfect for me and for all as the variety of styles allow for accommodating any needs. Pricing was average for Boulder and more than worth it. We will be back and try more items. Often have lunch with a friend who drives and it will be perfect for that this summer.

Aloy Thai Cuisine is a great spot in Boulder for flavorful, satisfying Thai food. We arrived during happy hour so ordered the pork egg rolls (3 piece) thin flaky pastry stuffed with ground pork, cabbage, carrots, and woonsen noodle, deep fried with sweet and sour sauce and crab wontons (4 piece) cream cheese and crab meat stuffed in wonton shell served with sweet and sour sauce. The pork egg rolls were crispy on the outside with a generous, tasty filling, perfectly fried and not greasy. The crab wontons were a highlight, light, crunchy, and packed with creamy filling, paired nicely with a sweet dipping sauce. I ordered the BBQ chicken entree that is marinated and grilled and served with spicy tamarind or sweet and sour sauce. It came with so many fresh veggies and I loved the tamarind sauce so much I had to order extra. The BBQ chicken was tender and well-seasoned with a slightly smoky, savory-sweet taste that really stood out. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable, great for a relaxed meal without feeling rushed. If you're in Boulder and craving Thai food done right, Aloy Thai Cuisine is definitely worth checking out. It was a very reasonable price point for the quantity of food.

The chicken was probably cooked enough, but barely and to the point where it gave me slight pause. I got spicy level 4, and it had a pretty good amount of heat that met my expectations of a 4 out of 5 heat level. The ratio of noodle to chicken to garnishes is good. The food court that it's in doesn't feel clean, but I don't think that's the fault of Thai Avenue. I used to come here 2-3 times a week for a couple years over 10 years ago when I was a college student, and back then it was easily 5 stars. I heard a lot of people say that the place changed and it's not what it used to be, so I went out of my way to go back and try them again. Sadly it's true that they arent what they used to be. Seems to be different cooks. I wonder where the original cooks went because I want to eat at wherever that is.

I was expecting a typical food hall and instead it felt much more elevated and thoughtfully designed than that. The way the coffee shop and bar sort of flow together makes the whole space feel really social without being chaotic, and the rooftop patio honestly makes it feel bigger than you'd expect from the outside. At the time, it felt surprisingly modern for Boulder in a really good way. It's also one of the best places to take visitors because everyone can find something they actually want and the quality across the different vendors is consistently solid. Huge bonus that there's a parking garage directly across the street too because parking in Boulder can otherwise become its own adventure.
