Let me start with the treatment. It was average. Went in for a routine cleaning. That's when they…read morestart saying they recommend this work and that work to be done. We get an estimate after providing insurance details. Wow a ZERO dollar estimate. We know how clinics screw people over, so I mentioned several times, please check with insurance. If I have to pay out of pocket I won't do the treatment and find better options. Mind you, this was not a necessity, but that's how I felt tricked into it. They kept convincing me that I would not have to pay anything out of pocket. After the initial filling they gave me a bill. When I questioned the lady at the front desk they finally resolved saying it was a mistake and I don't owe anything. This was before they began the crown work. They then began the crown work, put a temporary cap. Within an hour the cap fell off. Had to go for another visit to put that back in. After the crown was put in, they came back 3 weeks later with a 700$ bill. Now when I called them up, they started giving excuses; 1. The person who ran the insurance left the clinic 2. The insurance downgraded what they would cover 3. They info they had in their system was incorrect. So basically, they messed up and they want me to pay. This seems to me like MALPRACTICE. They should have been upfront with the pricing and contacted insurance before the treatment rather than after. Their expectation was that we should contact our insurance and not believe what they say (Basically, they could say whatever they would like)

For example, last year I had a Crown inserted and after i had some pain. I went back and she had to even my bite out and the pain left. She didn't charge me for the follow-up plus scheduled another follow-up in case it didn't alleviate the problem. The staff are very nice and considerate to your apprehensiveness to visit a dentist. They offer you bottled water or coffee as you enter. They also greet you with the name you wish to be called. They also work with your insurance provider the best they can and go over costs before starting. I sort of hate the xray part when they put the shield in your mouth. But Beto the xray tech goes slow and tries to allieviate your uncomfortableness. The hygentists that work with Dr. Cua are friendly and are caring. Helping you setup the TV to watch and listen to while they work away. Also giving you a pillow and leg rest if you want. They work well with Dr. Cua as scrapes off the plaque and calcium build-up. Keeping your mouth rinsed and clean. They then polish after Dr. Cua finishes. Although I don't love visiting the dentist. I do love my experience at Perch Dentistry with Dr. Cua and her staff. By the way I had no cavities on this visit and my gums are looking much healthier!
