We bought a new3500 dodge ram. The dealer told us they could inspect it for us. NOT! They cant do anything over 10,000 lbs. Kaylee at 24 Ford gave us May's number. I called and spoke to a very nice man. I told him what had happened and he told me to bring the truck right down . He explained everything to us and said that he could take care of us. **If you live within 30 minutes of May's you will NOT find a better place to bring any of your vehicles** Extremely specific alignment settings for our high performance track cars are always dialed in to the TEE(!) and May's always has the best high performance tires for a steal masterfully balanced, filled with nitrogen, and mounted before I can even get my wallet out. Even my 1 Ton dump truck's always perfectly aligned with the best tires balanced/mounted for 75% the cost Sullivan tire charges. They even took care of my Bobcat and replaced the massive tires with no heads-up while I waited! Whether the sports car or dump truck, I know May's has me covered! read more

My family has been taking our cars to May's Tire for the better part of 10 years now and it's always been a great overall experience. Bobby and his guys know their business and are very up front with no BS on what you need for your vehicle. The most important thing in a relationship is trust. When it comes to auto repair, most people would love to say that they trust their mechanic 100%. I've met Bobby at May's Auto and judging from the work he has done for me that was necessary, and the work that he has straight out told that I don't need - I trust him 100%. Combine the trust with work ethic and attention to detail and there is no other place that you should bring your car. The shop is immaculate, super organized and everyone who works there is friendly and couldn't do enough for you - especially Bobby who has gone above and beyond to accommodate me in every situation. When you think about it, it makes sense that the big name companies need to charge more and recommend that they do more work on your car than they need to so that they can pay their overhead and their advertising bill. Bobby's prices are reasonable and he supervisors the work unlike the bigger shops where you'll have somebody different working on your car every time you bring it in. Having someone "good" take care of your car is one of the most important - and one of the most difficult - things to find. Give this guy a try, you'll be glad you did. read more

We have been using Mays for our cars for several years. In addition to being convenient we have always had quality work from Mr. May and his staff. He also provides " extras" such as vacuuming and washing - whenever time and weather allow. We have never known him to do work without prior authorization from us. This is a 5 star shop hands down! I needed tires and alignment done. I have to say from start to finish with this business it was perfection from all of the staff. I got great advice from expert owner with over 30 years in the business and top quality service from the techs. First set of tires since I bought gmc truck new and it's sad that the factory doesn't take as much pride as this business does. Well I will be short and sweet. Bobby the owner knows his stuff but he also loves to rip people off. You come in for one thing and then he tells you how many things are wrong. I had him fix the one thing and he told me I needed this and that. I did not do these items but what I did do was bring the car back to dealer and ask him he told me there is nothing else wrong with your car. I have heard this is how he operates. Worst experience of my life!!! Been to this place a few times with no problems, then i took my car in to have the catalytic converter replaced. a week after having this done my engine light came on. I went to another shop closer by me and they said it was the same part causing the light to come on. I called Mays and spoke to the owner. I politely asked him if the part was under warranty. He refussed to answer me. The more questions i asked the ruder he became. He told me that he would have to diagnose the problem himself and that cost 100.00! then he told me that even thought it says that it might not be the part he put in ( yea right)! Just him treating me this way, i would rather go somewhere else and pay again than give him one more penny of my money or have him touch my car. I went to another auto body shop and showed me the peice that Mays had put in. The catalytic converter that they put on my car was empty!!! hollowed out?? i couldnt beleive it! This place is overpriced. You dont get what you pay for. And if you dont enjoy being treated like your stupid then i suggest look elsewhere. read more

Walked in for oil change only. Owner, Bob May, asks if I need tires as well. I explained 4 new tires were just purchased and had approximately a few thousand miles on them. Flash ahead 5 minutes, I'm in the waiting room. The owner comes in and goes on a sales pitch like a used car salesman using gorilla tactics. Tells me I need shocks, struts and a bunch of other work needs to be done immediately. I tell him thanks and I will get back to him on that. He then goes on a tirade telling me "You won't better than me! I may cost more but I'm the best!" and "Don't come back here and blame me if you get in a fender bender because someone else did shoddy work!" I said "No thanks I just was in the area and need an oil change" He then stormed out of the waiting area. Upon checkout, he tells me the oil change costs $15 more than than original price because my car requires fully synthetic oil. I inform him I've always used regular oil as stated in my car's owners manual and that's what I asked for. He then starts yelling like a wacko claiming I'M ripping HIM off! He then prints up a bill for a REGULAR oil change and shoves in my face and says "here, satisfied!" I was in shock at this behavior, paid, and quickly left. I'm amazed this guy is still in business. read more
