I gave the written code from me having it scanned elsewhere to your service men upon arrival ..and it was still scanned without my approval. After you scanned it, I was called and given an option to have spark plugs replaced with info that it may be a Honda recall. I was still charged the $190. Even Honda was horrified and will follow up with you. Sad since I have been a multi year loyal customer despite a previous faulty rear brake job that had to be redone twice. Stay far away. I have never got a comfy cosy feeling from this shop but this time I have proof. I took my car in for a brake check and was told it was going to cost hundreds of dollars to replace my brakes and rotors. Since the brakes were not that bad I asked them to do the pads only and was told no they would not do that and tried to pressure me into spending more than was necessary. Since I did not agree with the recommended repair they charged me for a brake inspection. Since they lied, I think they should issue a refund, but I won't hold my breath. I went to another shop and low and behold, had a free brake inspection and was told that my pad were worn but still had life left....and my rotors were fine. I replaced my brakes all the way around for less than half what they wanted to charge me. I feel like I got charged by them for the inspection because they were mad that I called them out for being liars. Stay away from this dishonest shop. read more

Stopped in today with a flat tire that I removed from my riding lawnmower. I couldn't see any puncture or damage to the tire, thinking maybe the bead just broke down because of being under inflated. They said they would take a look at it and 5 minutes later, the tire is inflated and no sign of leakage. They had to remove the valve stem to get the rush of air into the tire in order to inflate it. He gave me the tire and asked what I owed and he said no charge! I had to give him something so I gave a few $$$ so he could get a coffee or something. I have been to this location twice and have had horrible experiences both times. The first time I ran over a nail and needed a new tire. Of course, they tried upselling me on all four but we settled on two. I drove about 5 miles on the new tires and my low pressure light came on. I brought the car back and they told me the tire sensors in the two new tires "coincidentally" burnt out...the same day they replaced them. If I wanted new ones I needed to pay $90 each. I complained to the manager and common sense won, a rare victory. He acknowledged the sensors were most likely damaged during install and he replaced them for free after a few hours of going back and forth. The second visit was out of necessity, I work close by and my engine light started blinking so I first took my car to Auto zone to figure out what was wrong. They told me the exact issue, a broken o2 sensor. I brought the car to Sullivan and they told me they could fix it. I told them exactly what was wrong and the exact part I needed. I come to pick my car up and they charged me almost $200 to diagnose the problem. They gave me some BS excuse about how they had to look and try to diagnose other issues...no you plugged it into the same machine Auto zone did, you just wanted to charge more. Fine, I can deal with the cost. About 5 months later my check engine light comes on. I take it to my normal mechanic and he immediately identifies that the O2 sensor that Sullivan tire put in was A. crap and B. the wrong sensor for my Jeep. So, I was charged $400+ to be told what was wrong (which I knew) and to have a crappy o2 sensor put in that wasn't factory nor the correct part. When I called the location they told me they could maybe install a new o2 sensor and nothing else...even though I told them I had it fixed. Just all around horrible experience. Do not go here, there are much much better places nearby. UPDATE: Oh good news, these frauds offered me a $90 gift card for selling me a POS third party part and charging me $400! I had a great experience with Sullivan Tire. Lug bolts on my Jeep needed to be replaced. It turns out to be an engineering flaw or over-tightening. It's good to know they torque all lugs to spec when replacing tires. Think of that when you have a flat on the road and can get the tire off. read more

I dropped off my car for an oil change. There were no drivers available to drop me at work for another hour, but luckily someone was able to drive me to work in my own car. When I arrived to pick up my car, there was only one person working the front, and they were tied up on a very long phone call in the office. I waited almost 30 minutes with a long line of other customers for his phone call to finish. It seems like they are too busy to handle the customers that they have, and should consider hiring some additional personnel. read more

STAY AWAY! Dishonest staff who will lie to your face and charge you for services/parts and then not install them. Even upon questioning, they will lie to your face and claim to do work that was not done all while charging you for work that was not done. Brought my Jeep in to get an alignment. Technician looked displease that he actually had to work. Once the Jeep was pulled in he immediately came back stating I needed 4 ball joints and a pitman arm, stated the manager would not align the Jeep unless these repairs were made. $1363, I advised him I would get a second opinion so I brought my Jeep to the Chrysler Jeep dealership down the street. They inspected the truth and had the state inspector verify that NO ball joints needed replacement and they didn't understand how sullivan Tire Auto Service came to those findings. Complete scam. Great for oil changes and tires. Very nice employees. Had problems with new brakes and rear axle bearing becoming defective quickly on my GMC truck after spending thousands . My cars brakes pulsates from day one. They tried fixing but never really stopped. I wrote a polite letter to owner of Sullivan tire and was ignored completely. I had a 10:00 appointment for oil change and filter replacement and check brakes. I was told it would take a couple of hours. When 2 pm came by and I hadn't heard anything I called and was told my car would be next. There was only 1 mechanic who could do this job. an hour later I was called to let me know the car was ready. When I got to the facility I explained that I was upset because I had a 10:00 appt and the car was not even begun till after 2 pm. I had made the appointment 2 weeks ago. If you know you have only 1 person who can perform the job then take the appointments in priority of booking and don't overbook. My husband made an appointment for me to have a screw in my tire repaired. The screw was located on an area that could be plugged easily. The tech told me it was "it was un-repairable". We brought in a late model car that was leaking fluid. We had brought it to two different dodge dealers both had quoted for a new head gasket at a significant cost. Sullivan gave us a better price by about 25% but also called us. The manager made us aware that while he would like to do the work there was a soft recall on our car for defective gaskets. The car had just gone outside of the warranty but he said the manufacturer was helping to some extent. He gave us a number which we called. Sure enough Dodge paid for the labor, we had to pay for the part. The dealers we had gone to maybe weren't aware of this program because when we brought it back to have it done per dodge we were never told why they didn't know. I stopped by this location today to get a price on 4 new tires. While the person seem somewhat annoyed I was asking for help he did say he could assist me. He looked at the current tires for size etc, but when I said I wanted non run flat tires (car currently has run flats) he told me he couldn't install those on my car as it's against company policy. He was unable to say why this was policy, just that it was. This seems completely asinine as the car can come with or without run flats. Avoid Sullivan Tire and go to a place that will help you achieve what you want done - not what someone in corporate thinks should be done to your car. read more

I took my car here for an oil change just before the 4th of July weekend. I wanted to make sure to have it done and the car looked at before the long weekend. What highway robbers! Yah the oil change was about average but when they get the car in they tell you you need other things done. They told me my windshield wipers needed to be replaced and the quote they gave was more than double what the best wipers are at any auto place! They probably buy mid range ones and get a discount then they must more than double the price for their profit. The same thing with my airfilter, said it needed to be replaced, I actually did go and buy a very nice one for a fraction of the cost and put it in in only a few minutes. Told me my brakes were fine but I needed a brake fluid change? I had the brakes done not long ago and I know they put all new fluid in. nickle and dime you to death and rob you blind. Maybe some people can't change their own wipers or air filter. But the prices they charge...robbery! read more

My experience with Sullivan Tire in Brockton is without a doubt one of the worst experiences of my life. Here is my story. While driving in Quincy, I hit a pothole (sinkhole really!) that took out two of my tires. The first one I changed the tire and found the rim severely bent. The back tire had a much slower leak and did not go flat until I was back on the road. After getting towed home, my brother was going to let me use his spare on the back to allow me to drive the car for service. Unfortunately the back tire was stuck on and wouldn't move despite multiple attempts to remove it, so I couldn't inspect the damage. Since I knew I needed a rim, I went online and bought one for $150. After getting towed to Sullivan (close to my house), I get a call the next day sayng that the back rim was bent as well and I would need a replacement (the alternative being that I have it sent out to repair, but this would take several days). I was going to buy another one from a local junk yard, but then was told that they could get me a refurbished rim for $179 and it could be done that day. I agreed. All told I needed to buy through them a new rim, 2 new tires (which were overpriced but the car was stuck there so I was kind of over a barrel), and an alignment. Total price? Over $750! Already ticked at this, I went to pick up the car, and asked for my old rims (figure I can sell them and make something back). While I got one back, I was told the other had been "sent out". Not really in position to dig deeper (place was closing and I was worn out after work), I decided to call the next day to request the second rim. When I called the next day, I was told that I would not be getting the second rim back because it was sent out as part of a "trade in" to get the "lower" $179 price (which was higher than I should have paid in the first place)!! This was at no time ever explained to me when I was quoted the $179 price. I was simply told that the price for the rim was $179. When I complained about this information being withheld, I was told that this is how it is done: a damaged part is traded to get a lower price for a refurbished one. I was also told that if I wasn't happy with this I could buy one online, and they would swap it out with the refurbished one and credit me the cost of the refurbished. I declined because as I explained I have to work and can't keep losing access to my car, and I also would not let them near my car again. I told them I would never go to their company again and would tell everyone I know the story and tell them not to use them either. Oh and one last little doozy. They tried to push brakes on me and I declined. They pushed a couple of times but I wasn't budging on that one. Good thing too. The cost of "declined services" on their checklist? $800!! I've had nothing but good experiences with the people at this Sullivan Tires. I've been using them for 5 or so years and I've had work done on brakes, replaced rotors, new battery and tires, replaced glove compartment (yes, I broke my glove compartment...), numerous oil changes and basic maintenance. I really trust the people here, in my experience they've been straightforward, done good work, and are very professional and helpful. And their driver Jimmy will shuttle you to and from work/home (within a reasonable distance I'm assuming), which makes the whole process SO much less a hassle. Prices are reasonable, though not the cheapest place out there - but well worth it in my experience! read more

Brought my car in for new tires. They called and said I needed some other work done. I gave permission to go ahead and fix. Brought my car to Toyota for something unrelated and Toyota called to ask me if I recently had work done and I said yes. They said none of the components under the car had been secured and I was driving a vehicle very unsafe. I called Sullivan Tire and they asked me to bring the car back in. I did even though the work had already been corrected. After speaking with the head service man, Chris Oxner, who said he would refund the labor of the job and wanted to keep a happy customer, I showed him the bill and it was agreed up I would get a check in the mail. He did not stand by his words. Only received half of the labor charges and when he called me back after I called to ask where the rest was, he was extremely rude!! I would NEVER step foot in Sullivan Tire again and have also told many people I know about the experience. read more

I used to go to Sullivan Tire in Quincy, never had a problem. Got a new job in Brockton and took it to this location. Went in for an OIL CHANGE - got a phone call 2 hours later saying I need $375 dollars worth of random part changes and a transmission flush. One of the parts they replaced was my carbon air filter which makes the air your air conditioner blows cleaner for 40 bucks. Ok fine. 5 DAYS LATER go to turn on my AC that has always blown freezing cold air and it doesn't work. I called Sullivan Tire to ask why that would happen and immediately I am told they have nothing to do with eachother and bring it in and they can look. UM no last time I brought my car in you charged me almost 400 dollars for things I probably didn't need and screwed up my connections for my A/C while you were in there.
