Carlos is great! He is very competent and courteous and very reasonably priced. If you can, go this route rather than having a "we can hurry over" service that then has to upcharge everyone to make up for it. I have used Carlos' services a couple times and he tries hard to be economical but also effective - I trust he has my best interests at heart. He is willing to follow through until the end and there is never any pressure to do the top end repair if a reasonably priced part will do. It is so refreshing to not have to be "on guard" for getting taken advantage of. Scheduling is nice in the sense that you can see his availability and schedule without a second phone call. On the other hand, it is harder to do something out of the ordinary (he went to my home address rather than the rental that needed the service, but that cost him more than it did me since he just rerouted and came to the rental when he realized the mistake - he didn't charge me more). This has to do with the automated scheduler he uses. I so appreciate hard-working honesty these days - why this should be remarkable is unfortunate, but true. read more

The lady I spoke with on the phone was very courteous and Carlos the technician was also very kind and hard working. He arrived at my house in Lynnwood promptly today Thurs. morning 20 April 2017, diagnosed the problem and then drove all the way to the warehouse to get the part which I believe was down past Seattle. These guys are good. Charge a $109 (or so) for diagnostics but if you choose to repair with them that fee gets removed. Definitely better than using taskrabbit or something similar. read more

What a scam! Serviceman comes out to look at repairing my LG front loader. Puts his hand in and spins the drum a couple times. Says it's going to cost $700 to replace the bearings. I pay the $110 visit fee. I take off the 4 screws holding the back panel. Find the large 17mm nut holding the stater cover is loose. I put it back in with a drop of blue loctite and all is well. I should have at least gotten this for my money. I'm at a place where I'd like to have someone else repair some of the things that go wrong, but apparently I'm SOL. Also, don't buy LG in the Seattle area. Not only don't they use blue loctite in initial assembly, but they don't have any factory recommended service in the area. read more

I wanted to update my review from earlier this month. I had a certified Kitchen aid repair man come out from Appliance Hospital today. He said that there is a leak in the tub of our dishwasher which has a lifetime warranty on that part. This should have been able to be detected by the water marks under the tub when Carlos came out. He said there is no such thing as adjusting the float, so what Carlos told me he did was not even possible. read more

My Whirlpool dishwasher broke a week ago. It wasnt washing the dishes at all. I called Mazter Appliances on a Wednesday and had an appointment set up for Saturday morning. Carlos came and turned on the dishwasher. Just by listening to the sounds, he knew exactly what was wrong with it, it was the sump pump. He said he had the part and could fix it in 30 min. Carlos and entire team at Mazter Appliances is amazing. My Whirlpool Icemaker stopped working and it would not make any ice. They provided the right estimate upfront and warned me that there could be several things wrong but they will analyze the problem. The Problem was analyzed on the first visit as no power coming to the icemaker at the right time. The part was ordered and they replaced the icemaker. Unfortunately the unit was still not getting the power so the control board had to be possibly replaced. They worked with Whirlpool and entered a a special case for me and not only got the control board issue corrected but also double checked all the wires so the problem does not happen again. Fixing the issue not only took a lot of patience but also over 4+ Visits to get the unit working. Kudos to Carlos and the Mazter team for fixing the complex issue. We actually had Mazter Appliances (Carlos) come and repair our dishwasher a couple of years ago. It had started leaking and we were concerned that we might have to replace it because it seemed like all the possible things that could be wrong would be very expensive to fix. Carlos came over and took apart just about the whole dishwasher and couldn't find anything wrong, so he replaced all the baskets that had started to age. The dishwasher stopped leaking for a couple of weeks but then the leaking resumed. Since they guaranteed their work, I called Mazter Appliance again and Carlos came back. This time he found a second issue that he also fixed but only charged me for parts - not for a second service call. It had been two years now and we've had no issues with the dishwasher since. We have had Carlos from Mazter repair the very difficult dryer that came with our house a couple times, and he's been great. He was the ONLY outfit we could find in Seattle who would work on a Daewoo dryer, and got it back up and running both times. Contacted regarding a dishwasher repair. Repair person arrived at scheduled time and diagnosed the problem. Stated that a part would be ordered and that it would arrive in ~5 business days after which they would call to schedule a time to repair the unit. Charged $117 for the service call but this would apply to the total service charge. However, three weeks later and no word from Mazter Appliances. Furthermore, we have called on four separate days and left messages for a call back. Radio silence. I guess they pocketed the service call money and moved on to the next call. Carlos is as friendly as they come, and quickly discovered that we would need to order a part. This place was amazing! Who knew that an appliance repair company could be so helpful, honest, efficient and reasonable. Carlos Poma came out, diagnosed a fridge we have that stopped working, explained what was wrong and the options we had, one of which was going through the manufacturer warranty on the part. Everything he told us was accurate as far as the warranty process, he was super friendly to my family, very professional, and may have providided the best technical in home service I have ever received. Don't waste your money anywhere else, these guys are what people wish they got when they needed in home service of any kind. Carlos is prompt, has great communication, and troubleshoots problems on older appliances. He fixed the "tick tick tick (flame!)" starter switch on a 20+ year-old (or older?) KitchenAid natural gas stovetop. It took a couple visits because of the unusual parts that had to be ordered, and the fact it turned out an additional burner was burnt out. Bosch dishwasher was leaking water everywhere so we called Bosch. They said 3 weeks for their factory service. With water pooling on floor we obviously couldn't wait 3 weeks. Found Mazter Appliance on Yelp. Carlos had an opening the same day, came out and repaired the dishwasher - he had the valve we needed on his truck! Definitely recommend. Carlos showed up for the first appointment, late, but he impressed us with his ability. He didn't have the parts for the repair of our refrigerator, and it took about two weeks for them to come in. We got the call last Monday, to schedule for Saturday. 4 hours after the appointment time, we called. "A scheduling error". We rescheduled for Sunday. Once again, another "scheduling error" and another no show. Generously, we gave them a 3rd chance for Monday. Left work early, and a third time, another "scheduling error". Sounds like they need to hire a scheduler if they want to stay in business. read more
