It's been over 3 weeks since I got my nails done for the first time at MB Nails with Sunny. I wanted to wait to post to make sure my nails lasted a while and that I was happy with them. I can say that I'm super impressed with how they turned out!! I asked for pink and white ombré acrylics but Sunny recommended I do the dip powder because it'd be better for my nails. They turned out so pretty and I've gotten so many compliments on them. Highly recommend! Because my nails are shorter, I get tips glued on prior to the dip powder to add length and after 3 weeks they're still on! Very grown out now but they haven't chipped or broken off. I visited this location with two friends on a Friday evening, the weekend before Christmas. It was my first experience and was recommended by one of the friends with me who'd had a great experience in the past. The technicians here do a beautiful job. I'm happy with the way my nails look but the cost of the service and poor experience won't bring me back to this salon. My friend called the morning of our appointment to confirm whether we could be seen around 6:45pm or not. The response she got was "yes but please make sure you're on time". We were on time and the salon was very busy. No one was available to see us at the time of our appointment. We were happy to wait. When we were seen, one of the friends I was with explained she wanted a mani/pedi with regular polish. As soon as the technician began working on her fingernails, she questioned my friend's decision to get regular instead of gel. My friend politely declined the offer to upgrade. But the tech continued to push the gel sale on her - asking her multiple times. As for my personal experience, I received a rather rough pedicure. My cuticles were cut to the point that I have scabs (as seen in the photo, sorry if that's TMI!). I also have an issue with ingrown toenails. This hasn't been a problem with any previous pedicures - if they're addressed during a pedi appointment, it's usually mildly uncomfortable but after a day, they're fine. This particular pedi tech dug and cut so deep that I bled. It's been five days and I'm still experiencing discomfort. Feels like I stub my toe every time I touch it. I'm a nurse and pretty physically active, so I'd say that I am not a sensitive person when it comes to discomfort/aches/pain.lol I was the last appointment and felt very rushed to pay and leave (understandably so, it was a Friday night before a holiday). However, after looking at other reviews on this Yelp page, I realize now that I paid for a classic pedicure and only received a plain (and painful) pedicure. Again, I'm pleased with how my nails look right now. But super disappointed with the price I paid for the overall experience. Lessons to be learned if visiting: 1. Be clear and firm about your comfort level during a service. 2. Know exactly what is included in the service you ordered (and know they will try to upgrade/up-sell). 3. Better to visit during working hours and probably during the week. Your tech won't be rushed. read more

I had a great mani/pedi here. Typical mani pedi is 35$ and $6 extra for callous removal. It was busy on Friday afternoon but I still managed to be helped within 15 minutes of my arrival. They have great colors to choose from and friendly technicians who will actually converse with you. I had to deduct 1 star because I didn't think the callous removal was as thorough as other places I have been. Secondly, I didn't see signage anywhere but apparently you have to pay $1 extra to with pay with or tip on credit card.. which seems unnecessary. read more

My first time at this nail salon and I could not have asked for a better manicure! I got the dip powder manicure done by Mai and she did a great job! I had a dip mani from prior at another salon and taking that off was so smooth and easy. I'm never getting a gel manicure again. My nails have never felt so strong and healthy. Once they file a bit of the mani down then soak your nails, it's such a smooth take off. Hardly any filing to do once the foils are removed. What I hated most about gel is the UV light and the removal process. Dip manicures are definitely the way to go. I'm coming back for sure! read more

I had an appointment, which apparently didn't make any difference because I didn't even get attended to until 21 minutes after my appointment time. I asked for an ombre manicure. I didn't get any massage, oils, paraffin, or anything extra except for tips added to my nails and I was charged $80. According to their price list, they charge $50 for tips, but I don't see anything that shows that an ombre manicure with no extra services should be $30 extra. I am giving one star only because the nails look nice but it's a complete rip off and having an appointment doesn't make any difference. Never going back there again! read more

Sanitation is important to me. At the start of the service politely asked the nail tech to please be sure to only use clean tools and files because I cannot risk an infection. She proceeded to pull dirty tools out of a drawer and use them. I know they were dirty because when she was done she put them back in the exact same spot. No sanitizer in site. My nails looked fine, but my health is more important so I will not be returning. read more

I have been getting dip manicures and eyelash extensions at this salon for nearly a year. I have never had an issue with a manicure or pedicure no matter which technician I get. I am hard on my hands at work with lots of hand washing throughout my workday and my manicures always last upwards of 3 weeks. As for lashes, I CONSTANTLY get compliments on my lash extensions from Sunny. She does a beautiful job every single time. Not one day goes by without someone asking if my lashes are real and when i say extensions everyone wants to know where I got them. Good prices and nice clean space but not my best experience. Nothing major, they are doing a good job, have good hours, very nice staff, just that my manicure wasn't the best and there's a $1 fee for debit but I wasn't aware ahead of time. Von did my manicure ($15), he's super polite and I feel just needs more experience/practice. The cleanup job on my nails wasn't the best, at the end I still had gunk under my nails and on the sides. Asked to clean & he put cuticle oil (which perhaps was a missed step?) & put so much it was everywhere on my hands and he gave me a paper towel to wipe it up. Kind of odd but he has the best intentions. I asked for water and he gave me a little bottle which was nice. I just felt the manicure wasn't as thorough. Tren did my pedicure ($30) and it was wonderful. She's so super sweet. I do recommend this place and think they are doing a good job. Lots of colour selection. Ok so I'm really not a picky person but I do expect a basic level of costumer service. I've been a regular here on and off for years. I live across the street. A few weeks ago I made an appointment on Thursday at 4 o'clock to get my nails done. I was going out of town Friday and they told me I could only do 4 o'clock on Thursday so I got off of work early and headed over. I walked in for my appointment and they looked at me like I was crazy, told me they did not have my appointment, and gave me major attitude as if I was the problem - ?!. There was no apology or anything it was just like sorry get out. I was going out of town the next day for an event so I was very annoyed by this especially because I'm a repeat customer and had to get off work early to accommodate to their schedule. I figured they would've at least been nicer to me about their mistake. I had to scramble to get a last-minute appointment at another nail shop and needless to say I was very upset and turned off by the way I was treated. Fast forward two weeks, and, because they are across the street from my house, I decided to give them another shot. I got my nails done for a friend's wedding on Thursday and THE NEXT DAY my nail broke. It was too thin, cracked, and broke less than 24 hours after getting them freshly done.. I was out of town for a wedding and I had to superglue it back on so I didn't look crazy. So I had a glued on nail all weekend which was super annoying and got back in town on Tuesday. I called them on Wednesday they told me they were too busy to fix my nail. I went over there today (Thursday) because that was the earliest they could see me to get me fixed. I expected this service to be free since their work broke the following day and I've been walking around with a glued on nail for a week. It's also extremely inconvenient to have to come back just to get one nail fixed. After she was done with my nails she told me it was $8. I said you kidding me? I come here all the time you're going to charge me eight dollars to fix your mistake? You should pay me eight dollars because I've been walking around looking crazy for a week. She said oh sorry you have to talk to her about it and pointed to the owner. The owner would not look up or look me in the eye she just spoke in Vietnamese and I guess decided to give me a bargain and only charge me $5. Lol Now one customer service issue I can give the benefit of the doubt but this is two times that they F'd me over - and I'm a regular customer! Like the audacity of these ladies is actually wild. They never even apologize for mixing up my appointment didn't give me a discount or anything which I don't expect but like come on if you want to keep your clients you should treat them with at least some kind of respect and try to make it right not Nicole and dime them! Truly it's not about the money at all it's about the fact that that's a shady business practice. So I told them I wouldn't be coming back. And I won't. As convenient as it is to be across the street the way they run their business is so shady I'm not into it. And on an unrelated note, during Covid, one of the ladies who did my nails mentioned that she was worried about money and her family was struggling. I went across the street to chase bank and took out $60 cash brought it back and gave it to her to help her out. Out of the kindness of my heart I wanted to help this lady and then they are nasty to me after that? Also how is it $8 for one nail? The whole set is only $40 how do you justify $8 per nail for a problem your technician caused? I walked around with a cracked nail and had to come back just to get it fixed. Like I really can't get a free nail fix for a nail that broke the next day? Or even an apology for you messing up my appointment? Girl bye. Hope the $5 was worth it. read more

Tina is THE best. I love getting gel pedicures and she makes my toes feel so pretty! I usually go for the deluxe pedicure that includes cuticle care, callous reduction, sugar scrub, clay masque, hot lotion massage and warm towel wrap. I love every bit of it. This nail spa just opened so everything is brand new and super clean. The spa chairs are awesome with individual jet air liners and massage features. The best for nails and eyelashes !! I had been looking for a great nail salon ever since I moved to the South Bay, and this is definitely it! Haven't looked back ever since I started going there. The quality of the service is always excellent, nails are beautiful, perfectly done and last pretty much forever (I do gel). They have an amazing selection of gel and powder colors. Great costumer service, it's always best to book ahead, but even when it's pretty full they always try to accommodate walk-ins. Now for eyelash extensions! Sunny does mine and she's amazing! Beautiful lashes every time and they last longer then any other big name eyelash salon I had been to before.
