Upon arrival, I was greeted with an "Open 7 Days" sign. That is a great start and very convenient option. Once inside, I met the new owners. They were happy to be there and all smiles about their new store. I must say that this is the friendliest and most convenient of any carrier store that I've ever visited! I primarily worked with Dominic (who was awesome!) during the ordering process. Not only were my questions answered, but Meta PCs was flexible on how I could pay for my beast of a machine. Unfortunately, the machine was shipped just in time to run into some dicey weather, so it arrived a wee bit frozen (I got the water-cooled option) and some minor leakage due to the machine being tilted a little bit too far. Alen took my call and was super supportive while we waited for the machine to thaw and dry out. I was also helped out by Will and Luis during my time of need! And I was a bit needy. Honestly, the whole team was super supportive. They communicated via chat, text, phone, and mail. Basically, matching whatever method I was using at that moment. I'm glad to report that it has defrosted and it is a thing of beauty. I couldn't be happier!

I came in to UBreakItFix just to get my iPhone battery replaced -- a simple, routine service. But…read moreduring the process, they asked me for my Apple ID and password, claiming it was necessary to "calibrate the battery." That immediately raised red flags for me. Let me be clear: Apple does not require your Apple ID or iCloud login to replace or calibrate a battery. I've since confirmed this with Apple Support and other certified repair techs. Asking for that kind of sensitive information during a basic hardware replacement is completely unnecessary and suspicious. I declined to give them my credentials and took my phone elsewhere. I strongly recommend that others do the same -- never hand over your password unless you're 100% sure it's required (spoiler: in this case, it's not). If you're considering this location, be very cautious and ask questions before agreeing to anything.
