I found Mac garage doors through yelp and was encouraged by the multiple positive reviews. I was not disappointed. He arrived on Saturday shortly after I called and came fully equipped to handle all contingencies. I have a wooden door which is almost 30 years old and the spring had broken. He replace the spring and I elected to have nylon wheels and other hardware replaced. After three decades of service the frame of the door had weakened and it was necessary to reinforce it with metal bars which was done to my satisfaction. Everything works well. First I want to say that Matthew has great customer service skills and works fast and efficiently. I've actually used him twice. The first time was a couple of months back when one of the garage door springs snapped/broke in the middle of the night on a weekend. I gave Matt a call the next day and he said he'd be there as soon as he could. I came to find out that Matthew was actually on his way to an outing with his family as they were with him (in the truck) when he came by the house to do the repairs. I felt pretty bad about this, but Matthew took it in stride, assessed the situation, and fixed the problem pretty quickly. The second time around, today, my wife had accidentally engaged the emergency release from the garage door opener and didn't know how to re-engage it, so I asked her to give Matthew a call. She was able to eventually get it re-engaged just before Matthew stopped by, While he was here, Matthew took a look at the garage door hardware, lubed all the parts - no charge. had a mounting bracket and door balancing issue. i sent out emails to a few vendors late at night and MC was the first to call right away, and then followed up the next day. After screening the various garage door vendors, I selected MC and was able to schedule time the same day I called. they remounted the bracket with larger lag bolts, retensioned the springs and wires, and tested the door to make sure it operated correctly and made a few adjustments to make sure the door goes all the way to the bottom.
