Mc Garth's catering provided affordable and professional service for my son's wedding. Everything we paid for pus was provided and appreciated. My guest raved over the Swedish meatballs. Cocktail hour was a hit because of those and the bacon wrapped chicken. Our guest made multiple trips because they were so good. The food service was great. The kept me informed the entire time. They made sure our leftovers were packed away accordingly with containers that I provided. The build your own sandwich bar was perfect, the salads were great and that was the softest sandwhich bread I've ever had. McGrath's catered for my backyard wedding for 130 people and they were absolutely wonderful! From the initial meeting/food tasting, I knew we were in good hands. They're just honest, caring people and that's hard to come by these days! On the day of the wedding, I was all over the place but when I crossed paths with the service team, they cared enough to say hello and introduce themselves which was so sweet. My coordinators really loved working with their team and couldn't stop complimenting. They went above and beyond when it came to cleaning up and I couldn't thank them enough. I needed catering for a week for 190 employees each day. After seeing the pictures and reviews of McGrath, I reached out to them. I was concerned with the $$, but McGrath worked with the company's budget and provided a list of food. When the food showed up. It looked just as amazing as the pictures on their website. Yesterday we attended the funeral for a retired Riverside Firefighter. After coming highly recommended, McGrath's was hired by the family of the deceased to cater the after-event at Citrus Park here in Riverside. What then occurred broke the family's still-wounded hearts even further; McGrath's was a NO-SHOW. My heart broke with theirs upon seeing the blank, empty tables with no tablecloths, no plates, no trays of food, no drinks -- ALL of which was SUPPOSED to be provided by McGrath's. When the family called McGrath's to find out exactly what was going on, McGrath's said they didn't know what they were talking about. Their ONLY response was that "The order must have gotten lost". There was NO apology. There was NO accountability. You know what DIDN'T get lost? The $800 dollar check the family wrote to McGrath's in advance for their services. Several family members had to then scramble to the Albertson's a few blocks away for soda, pre-made trays of food, paper plates, etc. That, naturally, took a while and half of the people left. I'm APPALLED at how this family was treated with such a shameful, careless and callous nature by McGrath's at a time when their beloved Father and Grandfather -- who was a long-time cherished community hero -- was being honored. I concur with Jessica R's (the granddaughter of the deceased) review of McGrath's: if I could give NO STARS, I would. For this reason I will NOT EVER use McGrath's catering, nor would I recommend them to anyone else. read more

I'm having leftovers while I type which goes to show how wonderful the food was! This is one great catering company. On time, "great" service, and food to absolutely scream for!!! I called them at the last minute - this past Wednesday for a birthday party Saturday night and Marc was super patient with me. I selected four different entree's and had to call his office as late as Saturday morning with additional questions/requests, and Robert came through with flying colors. All of the guests enjoyed the food (Italian buffet) and they kept going back for seconds and thirds, and the biggest hit was the antipasto salad (which was made for me, as it's not on their regular menu). We had more than enough food left over so guess what I'm having for lunch this week? Can you tell how pleased I am with McGrath's?! Thanks Marc - you and your staff are Rock Stars in my eyes! I would give Mcgrath's 10 stars if I could. He catered breakfast for 25 people at my office last week. There was some mix up on the date (probably from my end) and I realized it THE DAY OF THE EVENT. When I called at 7:30am all panicked, Mark answered the phone and calmly said, "I can pull something together for you." 90 minutes later, he delivered a delicious spread of eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, coffee, potatoes and pastries. My staff felt so pampered and loved it. My bosses were impressed. Mark McGrath saved the day, and I will never use another caterer as long as live! read more

We had McGrath's cater our wedding reception, for about 140 people. We could not have been more pleased. Marc was very helpful during the planning process, from the beginning considering possible venues and menu options, to supportive handholding as we made the decision whether to change the venue the day before due to weather considerations, to the flexibility to cheerfully make that last minute change. The price structure clear, consistent, and we felt quite reasonable. We got just what we contracted for, and were able to add items at the last minute, and the bill was just as it should have been. We found the food they served was very tasty, hot, timely, and well-presented. They arranged the hall we used and transformed from what we feared would be a bit dingy to gracious and welcoming. My wife and daughter chose Mc Graths after a tasting and speaking with the owner. It seemed a little steep to me at first but the service and quality they provided is a great value. They were on time, very efficient, and served up some great food. Real food, pasta salad, green salad with different a selection of dressings, beans with a little kick to them, delicious mac and cheese, bbq ribs, and chicken cooked on sight. They helped with appetizers we provided. Professionally dressed, unobtrusive, very helpfull, and down right pleasant. McGrath's continues to be mediocre. We used them for events all summer last summer, and are just starting this summer, and already they are kind of annoying. We have 2 separate rooms with 2 separate groups of people, soend the time and attention to split the food in half. Really, it's not that big of a deal for a professional catering company.
