Can't believe it took me this long to write a review. We moved in February 2020 and got MC Movers to help us. I was 8 months pregnant at the time and had to do the bulk of the coordination due to work schedules. I found MC Movers through Yelp and they were very responsive. They also were clear and upfront about their fees and prices, as well as what we could expect on the moving day itself. The MC Movers team got to our former house promptly on the scheduled day, and started securing items and moving them out. They worked so quickly, I found myself sitting in an empty house ahead of schedule. We still had some packing to do so they offered to help with that if I had boxes available. They were quite gentle with our items and called me to inspect any existing damage and sign off on that before they packed the items up. When we got to the new house, they also unpacked everything and put all the items in their respective rooms (we used labels to make it easy for them), and they also set up the beds and any furniture that needed to be set up. I was and still am so grateful to the MC Movers team. I referred them to my sister when she had to move to her new place, and I'm about to refer them to some friends as well. Horrible experience. The price kept increasing aft the initial quote. On the day before the move I was told the movers would arrive between 12-3. they didn't show up until almost 5:30. The driver showed up with a major attitude. He didn't have the skill to drive the truck into the apartment parking lot so he charged me additional money because they had to walk. They knew I lived in an apartment complex from my first contact and the Rep never mentioned anything about it. The Rep also never mentioned size of bins / boxes in quote - only the number of items. This supposed 4.5 star company came to move me with too few men. They tried to get me for more money, and they showed up late. They complained the whole time. They were given instructions on two locations that were agreed to, when they got to the new house they refused to drop off items in the correct location they shoved everything into my storage unit, causing damage to my refrigerator, couch, loveseat, antique desk and antique table. Multiple boxes were crushed, some small items were broke. As settlement they offered me $75. They have been giving me the run around since December. I have filed a BBB complaint. Would give a zero, the sale of our house fell through way before the proposed move date. My wife requested our deposit to be refunded. This started on Oct. 27, 2025, as of today, 12/6/2025 we still haven't received the refund. Even after numerous phone calls and speaking with Juan. I finally had enough and got involved, I am a 100% DAV, so I demanded speaking with a manger. First time this was accomplished, told John I was pulling my military card and demanded refund OR I was getting JAG involved. After another week of ring around the roses, I called back with my counsel's name. All of a sudden we were sent an email with the tracking number for the refund. If and when the actual check arrives, it best credit my account and not bounce. Counsel told me if this happens the next step will be litigation. Don't read the 5 star reviews on their site, they are not even associated with BBB and in my option are a fly by night operation. I hired this company after the reviews were left as well as the wonderful communication with the owner, Marco. However, I wish I had contacted a different company, as the level unprofessionalism was incredibly bad. They also broke a year old dresser and blamed it on us. Everything was working out fine in the beginning and I was very happy. Three men and a truck arrived on time and started right away. They worked hard and had a few breaks but you can tell they knew what they were doing. We were provided many wardrobe boxes as I had asked. My husband also helped move to keep things going and to load faster, so I'm sure it would've taken longer as we have so much stuff. We had a black dresser and the orchestrator of the move was also named Marco (owners son) told us that a leg was broken. I told them ok that's fine let's just keep going as I would fix it later. They proceeded to load it up on the truck without incident. Everything was packed in the truck and we proceeded to head to the new apartment. They needed a lunch so they left to have lunch for 30 minutes and proceed to the new apartment. Once they unloaded the dresser, it made it all the way to the new bedroom and once it was set down upside down, they lifted the hand truck and set it on the floor and it broke. I asked how Marco wanted to remedy this and he came at me with "it was already broken, I'm not going to pay for this". I proceeded to tell him that none of what's broken now wasn't broken before, and the only thing he mentioned was the leg. We went back and forth for 15 minutes and during that time, he refused to even talk to me calmly and stated that his father told us to empty the dresser and that it's our fault. No one told us to do this. I've moved more than a dozen times and this has never happened. The dresser was demolished and he refused to budge. I called his dad and told him what happened. He ended up calling Marco and after that, Marco refused to talk to me. In the end I was asking why the drive time was the way it was, and he continued to smirk and laugh and say, "I don't know how to explain this to you, " and looked at my husband. What should've been a $645 move ended up being almost $1k had he not broken my dresser. The dad was able to pay me $150 (which buys nothing). While collecting money from me, he shook my husbands hand and handed him the receipt and left. Rude, unprofessional and extremely disrespectful. The father, who is the owner of the business is a sweet and kind man. If it weren't for his son treating me like crap, I would've given another star. They were on time, though and the other two movers were very kind and respectful. Those stars are for them and the business owner. However, when broke my dresser, Marco yelled at me and argued with me after and he couldn't explain anything else in regards to the charges. All the while acting like a child would because his father told him to give me some compensation for the damage caused. read more

Where to start? Been looking for a place that can help us move furnitures and remove/throw away old office filing cabinets. Super glad we came across this company. So many good things about the experience and customer service. Starts with reserving/scheduling, Nitzel was super professional and made sure we knew everything and any questions we had was answered. We literally had a list if things that needed to be done! Quick to follow up and the prices are fair and the job was done super quick and clean. I contacted MC Movers after reading their reviews on Yelp. Nitzel set up the time from Caesar and another person from MC Movers to come out and determine the free quote. Caesar came out in his nice shiny new Ram Pickup and looked everything over to give me an estimate. One of the sticking points I had was they planned on packing the truck the night before and staging out of their place the next morning in Mountain View rather than leaving the truck in my driveway. Phenomenal experience from start to finish. These fellas came to the pick-up earlier than the business normally works to accommodate our move. They came in, asked to look around. We a quick walk-through. During the walkthrough, I was asked pertinent questions related to my move. This only took about 5 mins for a 3 bedroom upstairs home. These fellas instinctively knew what to do and got to it immediately. When they made it to the new house, which was 160 miles away, they got right to it again. I was impressed that they read the labels on the boxes and took the boxes to the correct locations immediately. They set up all 3 beds efficiently, communicating with us throughout the process. We were impressed. This is not a complaint, per se- the only improvement I'd suggest is Nitzel returning all calls and emails. I sent two emails that went unanswered and two calls. She did pick up when I called the third time, she also responded to other emails, but when it was down the wire, I wanted to confirm all the details, the lack of response left me uneasy. The price was very reasonable. I talked to about 5 other companies. 4 pricing was significantly more. Even with my estimate being about $400 more at the end of it all, the other companies I spoke with were much more. There was only one company that was about $700 less, but the reviews were not good, so I opted for MC Movers. I have zero regrets. The money was well spent. Thank you, fellas, for the peace of mind. Right from the first call I knew this was the right company. When I called, I wasn't sure what day we would need to move. It wasn't a problem at all. We signed an open date contract and had no issues getting the move date we needed. Our move went flawlessly! I was so impressed with their professionalism. They were right on time even though our location can be a little difficult to find sometimes. They hustled too! No one could do it faster, I'm sure. We moved out of a three story townhouse where our king sized furniture needed to come down the tight, U-turn stairs. They made it without a nick to any walls. They handled all of our items with care, regardless if it said "fragile" or not. Once moved, they asked me to go around and make sure all the furniture was in the right room so they could move anything before leaving. I have used them several times, including for a complicated move that involved 3 local locations and just moving my things into storage containers in my driveway. They are professional, fast, and careful with my things. They always do a great job of protecting my furniture with padded blankets. Be aware that you will get a quote that will be competitive but you'll end up paying more. I have a one bedroom apartment and moved about 8 miles away. They quoted me $650 but my bill ended up being almost $1100. They charge for every tv they have to wrap, and every painting. If they would have told be that before I would've had the TV's boxed up. The last company I used moved the TV's no prob. I ended up leaving my paintings behind and moving them myself. The good thing about them is that they were on time and moved my stuff quickly. I hired MC Movers after interviewing 5 other moving companies. While MC Mover's prices were comparable to a few of the other companies, it was Marco's honesty and straight forward responses while providing an estimate that won me over. I also wanted to support a small local company. Cesar gave me an estimate both hourly and a flat rate. The flat rate seemed high and I figured I could be packed. and save some money if we did hourly. Marco stressed how important it was that my family be packed up and ready to move coming moving day. Moving day was April 12th. A crew of 4 guys showed up. They all hustled to get our place emptied, even though I was not fully packed (despite Cesar's warnings). I knew I was pay hourly and these guys could have taken their time since I wasn't ready but they didn't waste any time. They packed all the big stuff/pieces of furniture while I boxed up my last few items. They were communicative, and asked questions. We had some pieces of furniture that was not going with us, and the moving crew was good about asking for clarification before removing anything. They brought wardrobe boxes and loaded the boxes up for me. Once we got to our new home, the crew unloaded fast and reassembled our beds. Hands down best moving company we have ever used! We had a big move from two locations pickup to one location drop off. The drop off location is a tri-level house with steep stairs. The movers worked non-stop and quickly.. we had to push them to take breaks even when they wanted to keep going. All 4 movers (one was the owner, Marcos) were super friendly and attentive. They added carpet protection and were very gentle with all our boxes and items. Nothing was damaged. I've already referred them to two friends and will definitely use MC Movers again in the future. Great moving company. Very reasonable rates.. Arrived promptly at 7am (earlier than their business hours) since the HOA of my new home, required me the move to start and finish between 9am - 1pm. They also required a 1MM Certificate of Liability insurance. Nietzel promptly provided me all the required documentation ahead of time so I could book my elevator slot. Great company was able to help me out In a pinch other moving company canceled out on me for moving a large very heavy item, they set up the date quickly and we were back on track Not only were they fast to react and set up the date but were extremely careful and well prepared. I've moved with MC movers twice in the last 1.5 years. I need to move again so I gave them a call. They came by and looked at our house and said they would send me a quote later in the day. It took quite a lot of time to hear back, or at least a lot longer the first two quotes. Once they called me they quoted DOUBLE the amount they had the previous two times. They said the move would take 19 hours with 4 people. I could move my whole place in 19 hours alone. I mentioned this and the person on the phone said this is because this time they are doing packing services also. I mentioned that the previous two times they packed for us they packed also. The person on the phone just said "oh...". I asked her if what happened was they saw how much they charged me last time and thought they hadn't added packing and they decided it would be easy to position it as double the amount because of that. The person confirmed this was true. I then confirmed with the person on the phone that they didn't give me a quote based on how long they thought it would take but instead how much money they could try to get from me. They confirmed this was true. They tried to save face to give me a better quote but I told them I couldn't work with them for being dishonest. Who doesn't value repeat customers? Edit: There was no misunderstanding. I made sure to clarify that you would have given me a better more accurate quote if I was a new customer and you said yes. Additionally, we have lived at this address for 10 months so the amount of our stuff hasn't doubled, so why would you quote us double the amount? The only reason why was because you thought we didn't do packing services last time and you saw an opportunity to squeeze me. Again, this is not me inferring. I recently used MC Movers to help me empty out a 25' x 10' storage unit. The movers were very professional, showed up on time (10 minutes early in fact) and treated our belongings with care and attention to detail. They were quick and methodical. They came in, wrapped our furniture in blankets, were careful to not ding or scratch anything, and were mindful when working those corners. If you have priceless items or valuable furniture that is HEAVY, these are your guys. They may not look like gigantic Thor-ish men, but they will get the job done. It may seem like a luxury to hire movers even for a "small move", but after you and your friends break a few things and scratch up the walls in your house, you'll wish you went with professionals. These guys are legit, and it was super easy to book a moving date. TIPS: be truthful about what needs to be moved AHEAD of time. Pay with CASH, and use the Yelp voucher. MC Movers came to our home to give us a free quote. They helped us choose the best option for our move, which was the flat rate option. They even dropped off some boxes for free the night before the move! The team arrived on time and worked very efficiently and smoothly to get the stuff loaded in their truck. They were careful with all the furniture and boxes and made sure the boxes were well secure with tape before carrying them. MC Movers LLC is a great company to perform your move! We had to do a move after living 20+ years in our former home and accumulating a lot of stone garden statuary and storage sheds, a lot of cabinetry and tools in the garage, as well as our fully furnished home. This is a family run business with Nitzel coordinating our move. She sent Cesar out to evaluate our moving needs and give us a reasonable quote. It was a large two truck job. We thought that we could pre-pack everything before they arrived, however, we underestimated that task. It didn't seem to matter because the moving crew did a great job of compensating that day and quickly loaded the remaining items into boxes and wraps and got everything into the two trucks. When we arrived at our new home, the team carefully placed our garden statuary into various places, as we directed, throughout the yard. They also moved everything into the appropriate places in our new home. The moving crew was epic! They were very strong definitely the type of people that you wanted on your team. They were able to hoist large armoires over our balcony without damage. These guys were truly something to behold (thanks again Freddy, Vincent , Louis and the rest of the crew!) I've used other movers 3 times, so I think I have perspective on what to expect. Pros: - They were available and they showed up - They did a lot of hard work including moving a console piano up 1/2 flight of stairs - They were clean and kind - They completed the job with minimal damage to walls and furniture Cons: - Moved VERY slow, inefficiently managed loading the truck and utilization of the elevator. With everything already boxed up it took 4 movers 7 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment less than a mile away! This cost $1500 which seems like a rip off to me. It took them hours before they even started loading the truck?!?! They moved so much slower than other movers I've used. Overall it REALLY felt like they were purposely going slow to make more money. - They very inefficiently loaded the truck. They absolutely should have had 2 guys start loading boxes while others wrapped furniture in blankets. - They wrapped lightweight furniture in way more blankets than required. Again it really looked like they were making excuses to take up time compared to other companies. - When I told MC Movers that I was unhappy with their performance the owner took forever to get back to me. I had to call at least 10 times before I finally got the owner to confirm that he disagrees with my take on their performance. =( Thanks for the hard work, but no thanks for taking advantage of someone in need.
