I guess I was hoping that this small town (New Boston) dive was going to be great. I mean with a name like McNasty's you have to have something good going on. Instead I found that it was just O.K. To start our lunch we ordered Cokes. (I know.. why do you go to a bar and order a Coke.) Oddly, the straws were about an inch too short for the plastic cup that the drink was served in. Next on the menu, fried pickles. I may be strange, but I can't pass a fried pickle without tasting it. Wow... these were terrible, definitely the worst that I've had. If I didn't know better, I would think that these fried pickles were sold frozen and in bulk. The pickles were small, the breading was way too thick, and actually hurt your mouth when you bit into them.... more like breaded pork chops, not batter dipped as they should be. The had very little taste and were disappointing. Next up was the "Almost Famous 1/2 lb. McNasty burger". I ordered mine with pepper jack cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and then proceeded to add ketchup (the ketchup... I don't know what they did to it, but it definitely lived up to the "McNasty" name) and mustard. This was an excellent serving of meat, tender, juicy, but it had very little flavor. Salt and pepper, people!!! I ordered onion rings while my wife ordered fries. The fries were just plain bland and looked like my skin after a long winter...plain white (not golden brown like they should be). I like my burgers a bit undercooked, but not my fries. The onion rings were good, but once again tasted like the kitchen lost their salt and pepper shakers. I was hoping this place was going to be good. It's a beautiful old bar with lots of dark wood, pool tables, and a wonderful ambiance. I just wish they would put a little more time in making their food as special as the building . I'm going to give this 3 stars, but that is more for average than anything else.

Like cmon 1/2 off burgers 150 beers during happy hour seriously look at this monster lol

Both were not good!! Ate half of each grape bit purple end and tossed the back part as they were old!! The parts I ate were juicy, but mind you-i was thinking $6.00 ate half - not grand but okay... The burger was not exceptional; yes, it was smashed-edges overly well done & middle medium well I could only eat the middle!! The lettuce (fresh) and onions (red-yay) and a very nice hamburger bun/roll! Fries were hot, thin, crispy & perfectly salted! Unfortunately, I have only consumed a half of patty & around 6 oz of grapes after having paid $18.55 & $3.34; so essentially for $21.89 i had a disappointing snack!! (transaction # 23618) Prices should be clear, viewable on both sides of the freezer and at the register!! (posted in your freezer like at other airports-I feel taken-scammed-deceived by not false, but inadequate packaging/advertising!) As a company you have to do better even for those who may never fly the same way and try your products!!

But if you keep walking, it opens up into another section with booths. It honestly looks like an employees-only area at first, so we weren't sure if we were supposed to go back there There's also a side entrance that leads directly into that dining area, which makes a lot more sense once you figure out the layout. The place looks a little worn down, but honestly, it adds to the charm and gives it that classic local spot feel. I ordered the burger, onion rings, and cheddar jalapeño poppers, and everything was really good. Bonus points for serving Pepsi products! Always a win for me! The guy working was also incredibly friendly and was somehow managing both cooking and serving. He immediately noticed how confused we looked walking in and kindly pointed us toward the seating area in the back. Great food and genuinely welcoming service. Also, I want to note that their kids meals were only like $3.75....this is perfect because my kids never eat their food!!

I had the quarter pounder with cheese, an order of onion rings, and in order of mushrooms. Service was fast and polite. The burger was good, as always. Onion rings are great and the mushrooms. We're okay. Don't let the ambiance scare you away. The food has been good as long as I've been coming here.

The ambiance is awesome and you always see so many friendly faces. Remember: Bring cash! Used a card, and the cashier had to type it in manually (it was nice of them to do that). Now for the food - We got a few meats--turkey pastrami, corned beef and a "wildcard" (I let the staff pick, and whatever it was it was good). We also got the special spices etc. I do prefer a more of an Italian sandwich on a hard roll, so I'm not sure the soft onion roll is for me. If you like a cold sandwich un-toasted and generally basic with a bit of a twist, you will love this! My husband and I enjoyed the sandwich (split it, and they put mayo on half at my request). It's a charming spot, quality food and I'm glad we tried it. Skip the spicy potato salad. It was bland, sadly.
