Nearly every time we stop here, it's the weekend. It has the same value-priced menu as our "home" McAlister's. But I especially like the venue, on the outer edge of the West Park Mall parking area, in an attractive brick strip-mall-type building, with comfortable seating inside and outside. Sometimes, spuds have been unavailable (difficult to predict how many to make?). But service has been fine, drinks proactively refilled, we've never had to ask. There is one particular server or assistant-manager I'd like to recognize for his outstanding hospitality, but I need to pay more attention to noting his name. Good is always consistent. I felt like they did change their French deep. Meat wasn't as tender as before.

The food was fresh and okay. There were many items to choose from--soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts and much more. I tried a couple of different things here and wasn't too excited about the food. It wasn't bad, but just not great. I am WILD about carrot cake but wasn't interested in devouring the carrot cake I got there--not a great sign. I tried the Orange Cranberry Club--turkey, smoked ham, cheddar, and orange cranberry sauce; sounds amazing, right? It was not bad, but not great. But the food was fresh and it was fine. The restaurant was clean. Employees were friendly and very helpful. There was lots of seating. I might try some other things there, just to give the place another chance. Food is always good but service is lacking often. Waited 20 minutes in store for my online order and even asked about it and then they told me it would be another 20 minute wait for spuds but never mentioned it the other 20 minutes I wasted. Half the time you come before even peak lunch time they will be out of spuds. read more

I used to really like McAlister's but they have changed owners a few years ago and they have sort of gone down hill. The food is good but the service is what's lacking. They don't seem like they care to be working and it's hard pressed to get a smile or even a refill. Once upon a time there were staff members walking around and would see your cup and ask if you wanted a refill... not anymore! They walk by and look at you and keep going. It's just not anything to wast your time on anymore. I'd rather go to Honey Baked Ham. You should too! Three stars for the food only. read more

We seem to come here almost every time we visit as it is convenient, but more importantly, since the DH, mei mei, and I are are vegetarians, has one of the best selections in town. Love their vegetarian chili and the many options. Ordered "Nut Butter and Jelly" sandwich for my kid...got sunflower butter and jelly sandwich. None of us eat sunbutter. Would have been nice to know that when ordering. The girl taking our order had RBF and acted like we were a hindrance instead of a customer. Restroom smelled weird....like way too much air freshener. This is probably the McAlisters of all McAlisters. Holy Smokes this place is Huge!! I've been missing some McAlister's Sweet Tea. There has definitely been a shortage of good sweet tea in Hawaii. I ordered my daughter and nieces the Mac and cheese which is of the best Mac and cheeses ever! It has a stronger cheese flavor than most that I've tried. They all devoured it in less than 2-3 minutes. I love their pick 2. It gives me so many options and combinations to choose from, especially when I want everything!!!! I ordered the California turkey Reuben with the Max Spud. The Max Spud has Black Forest ham, smoked turkey, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar-jack cheese, green onions and black olives with sour cream. All the things my husband doesn't like. Yay:):) The California Turkey Reuben just sounded interesting. Turkey, Swiss, coleslaw smothered with thousand island dressing on Rye. It was an interesting combination. I really having turkey even better than a normal Reuben. The service here is good. It takes about 10 minutes to get food. So take your number they give you, stick it on your table and sip and savor that sweet tea goodness! read more

What brought me into this place was all the hype I heard about their sweet tea and I was not disappointed at all. What keeps me going back though, besides the tea, is the food. I work at the Mcailster's in Poplar Bluff so I was in Cap with my Grandma this weekend I thought huh why not let's try it compare it to my store my Grandma got a French dip with barley any Au Jus at ares we fill it to the brim for u to enjoy we both got Mac and cheesE they used a little bowl so we had two bites of Mac ' & Cheese we use the big Au Jus and fill it at are Location I got the Chicken Cordon Blue the Ham was slopped on the pretzel roll had four pieces of chicken on each half so none at all basically managers never came around to ask how everything was like ours do staff never asked to re fill our drinks we ask at least two or three times while ur their pretty sad to me that a Mcailster's Two Months in is doing better then one that's been their for years won't be going back anytime soon read more

Yes, it is a chain and they delivered up to standard. We had a take out order for three and it was 100% correct, which is rare these days. Service was good, very friendly staff; parking is an issue so be prepared to look for a spot or walk a distance. read more

Very disappointed in the veggie sandwich. I literally had one cucumber, 1/4th of a slice of pepper, maybe a 1/2 teaspoon of guacamole and half of a half slice of tomato. It was basically toast.
