Great staff - the workers are always so warm and inviting! I like how you can customize almost anything here in some type of way whether it be a sandwich with a different cheese or ordering a baked potato with broccoli cheddar soup on it (yes, that's a thing and it is amazing!) This is a go to restaurant for me and the hubby. I either go to this location or the one in Kenwood on Montgomery Rd. Why? Because they are consistently good!! Great friendly service, sign up for rewards, clean restaurant, fantastic subs, salads, soups and chili on those cold days. I normally order their Italian sub but honestly I love so many of their sandwiches. Great Reubens, great French Dips, Spicy Turkey Melt, they make great deli sandwiches! For sides my go to is their potato salad. I'm picky about potato salad but I love theirs. Like carrot cake? Theirs is the bomb! So is their Brookies! You get a free dill pickle with your sandwich. The only ding I give them, and it's obviously not a deal breaker, is their point system for free rewards. They limit what you can order with your points. For example: You can redeem a free 6" but not a 12". Free drinks but no desserts. Kind of bummer but free is free so not a deal breaker! As Panera is to bagels, McAlister's is for sandwiches. Spacious restaurant with great customer service, they'll deliver your food to your table. The menu is expansive (yet not too overwhelming that it's hard to choose) with sandwiches, soups, and salads. I got the McAlister's club and it was so deliciously they cut it into four triangles, so maybe you'll have leftovers but not if you came in with a large appetite like I did. There's a variety of options for sides. Drinks are a bit pricey but they come in the largest cups. Will definitely keep this place in mind if I'm craving sandwiches. read more

When feeling under the weather due to an outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (ever heard of it?) it is still important to eat. Due to exhaustion, it is nice to order takeout for sustenance. I typically love McAlisters but this location is awful. From customer service to poor food quality it was all bad. I wasn't acknowledged when I walked in. It felt like I was interrupting a conversation and it seemed like I was a bother to them. The Manager was taking a personal call in the dining area. It took a really long time to get my to go order despite being the only customer in the building. Shame on me for not checking before I left but the food portions were very small and skimpy compared to other McAlisters. The salads and potatoes barely had toppings and the hunk of guac was brown. Speaking of brown, the chili was basically just meat water. I'm fairly certain they added water instead of making more or to cut down on costs. It had the consistency of water and was quite bland. Food costs have gone up way too much to waste money on meals this poor. read more

I ordered take out and got all the way home to find that they forgot something. That's the worst. I will admit that I was annoyed at having to go back. I called and they said that they would make it right. When I got there, they were very apologetic- the cashier and the cooks. It was nice that the acknowledged my inconvenience. They gave me my missing item plus a coupon for a free entree my next visit. I have to say that the people in this situation made a difference and I just couldn't be mad anymore. Finally writing a review of Mcalister's Deli after coming here more than 10 times. It's also my works go to if we want lunch. This place has it all. Salads, sandwiches, baked potatoes, soups and desserts. I always get the pick two. Sometimes a salad and potato, sandwich and potato or just a sandwich. My fave is the avocado BLT sandwich and chipotle chicken baked potato. The potatoes is what makes this place! Super big and filling. You can order online and they have a rewards program. It seems like we are here more than twice a month. Pricing is reasonable. I just love it here and they are far more better than Panera Bread. read more

when my order is actually correct the food here is quite good, but i've been given the wrong food or alterations are not followed about 70% of the time and unless you ask for an extra pickle they almost always forget to include it, ordering here on delivery services basically garuntees you that something will be wrong with your order. the people attending the counter are nice but that doesn't really matter when you arent given the thing you paid for. read more

Stopped here for lunch to meet some old coworkers. First impressions are that it is one of the nicest locations I've been in - open, lots of natural light and plenty of seating. We ordered our food and it came out in about 8-10 minutes. Everything was as expected with no disappointments. The staff would make rounds about every 10-15 minutes to clear plates or ask about refills. One young woman even asked if there was anything that she could do to make our experience better. On the way out, I saw an older woman talking to the manager, and overheard her complaining about the "over attentiveness of the staff" and how they "came around too frequently to ask her how she was doing." Like, if that is annoying to her, I can only imagine her on a bad day!! In today's world of customer service, I'll take this any day. Let's see if they can sustain this moving forward. read more

I stopped by today during my lunch break and the moan at the register was beyond rude. Prior to placing my to-go-order I asked what a typical wait is for one salad, to make sure it wouldn't go over my time allowed for my break. The woman behind the register said "idk maybe 7-10 minutes" with an extreme attitude. After I placed my order for a salad she asked if I wanted the dressing the salad comes with and I asked if I could get the balsamic instead, to which she answer "yeah I guess so". Then the card machine didn't work on the tip screen and she told me "you have to press a button", again with an attitude, as I was actively pressing buttons and it wasn't working. Then my card wouldn't work with the machine, I asked if we could please try again as "the card machine wasn't quite working" and she responded with "because you canceled it"... again, with an attitude. The woman after me had a pick-up order and had never been there before , she went up to the same register I was at and said she had an order to pick up. The lady said "well then go over to the pick ups then cause I don't have it". It was just a really unpleasant experience with a really nasty woman. I love the food and will continue to return but if she were the one behind the register I'd probably wait for the next available one. read more

I first went to this location on their opening day! Compared to the Kenwood location that I've always gone to, this one seems "fancier" by looking at it. I placed my order via the McAlister Deli app.It told me my food would be ready in 20mins and to pick it up from the sandwhich station.I arrived at the estimated time.My food was not ready.I waited for about 15 more minutes and then my order was placed on the To-Go stand. I checked my food to see if it was correct, and it was not.One sand which was made on the wrong bread and the other was missing bacon.I informed the cashier she told me they would remake my sandwich and asked if she could just give me the bacon on the side for the second sandwich .Wow.Never in my life have I had customer service like this.No one was rude just very blah about their jobs and not taking time to read and execute orders correctly.I End up getting everything about 25mins after the time promised.The food was ok but Bad experience from the closing shift.Maybe Mornings are better at this location. read more

It's about time they opened a McAlister's in the area - I'm sick of venturing all the way to Kenwood to satisfy my sweet tea cravings! The location is very prominent on Madison Road directly across from Madtree (and next to the yet-to-be-opened Condado Taco). I can already tell it's going to create quite a headache from all the traffic once the remainder of the strip mall is filled in, but it is the price I am willing to pay for an Orange Cranberry Club. I loved the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the facility. One of the managers even came over to tell me they were offering a BOGO meal for the remainder of the week and encouraged me tell my friends. Welcome to the neighborhood, McAlister's! For a McAlister's, my family had a great dining experience at this location during their first week o Open. We were greeted immediately upon entering, ordered our food and our 3-year-old was given a little coloring and activity book. We sat and down and our food was brought out very quickly by friendly wait staff. Food was great with no issues! While we ate they came by a couple times asking if we need refills or anything. All in all one of my best McAlister's experiences. We could tell they were trying to go above and beyond to give us a good first impression and it worked. Hope they continue to keep it up! I came into this place for the first time Saturday night. I Ordered 2 clubs, and a craft sandwich. What I got was not that. When I ask the man at counter. He said "umm no, you fo this every time". I NEVER ask for a new sandwich. I just wanted the bread toasted and bacon added. Another young man came out and ask what he could do to. I said can I pleased just get some bacon and some different toast? He said "Absolutely" and told me give him 4 minutes. It took about 5 minutes but it was worth the wait. THANKS AGAIN ROBBY. Their Reubens are consistently great. We got their bowl of potato soup yesterday and were extremely amused by how it was mainly potato broth! There were about 5-7 tiny pieces of potato and few flavorings floating around in the broth. Very poor!!! I'll never ask for that soup again. Food order wasn't made correctly and the cook behind the counter was rude about his mistake. Cook kept throwing everybody's order on the shelf. When I ask for my correct items the employees were rude about fixing the mistake. I ask for pickles on the side and they put it up underneath my sandwich which ruined my meal because the pickles were not for me. We have ordered take out twice from this location in the last couple of weeks - My spouse was recently diagnosed with Celiac and this is the first 'good' sandwich he's had since - highly recommend! We've tried the veggie sandwich (the herb mayo wasn't my fave but the grilled veggies were great and the produce was fresh and crisp), jalapeño turkey crunch (hubs really liked this one), and club... and the veggie baked potato - HUGE - recommend getting just 1/2! read more

The food is great. The service and organization for pickup is terrible! What is the point of having a pick up shelf if you don't use it?! So annoying. I ordered online and my order was supposed to be ready at 2. I got there and it was busy but nothing was on the pickup shelf for to go orders. I waited a few minutes and asked if my order would be there or at the other end (there was a shelf behind the counter at the other end with bags on it(. I was told it would be on the to go shelf in front of me. I waited with my baby in the stroller until it was 15 minutes past my order pick up time. An employee finally asked my name and low and behold my salad was just sitting down on that far shelf. So frustrating. Placed my order the prior day, since it was a large order for 5-7 people, they acknowledged my order with an email stating "we got your order". It was 40min before my order was due to be delivered and I was sent an email stating "your order has been cancelled", no reason, no other action other than to call a phone number, which I did and asked for the manager. I thought I was talking to the manager, when the person I was talking to said "let me get the big boss" who went by the name "Jerry". Jerry, who was yelling to her as she spoke with me on the phone said "the order was cancelled because one of the sandwiches was a ruben and they were out of corned beef" YOU CANT MAKE THIS SH!T UP! I asked why didn't you call me and ask for a substitution, or even just cancel that part of the order, and Jerry yells, "What does he want the order was cancelled"? I wonder who cancelled the order....JERRY? Horrible customer service experience - will not be back! read more
