I've always been a fan of McAlister's, but this location's customer service needs some work. A smile and common courtesies go a long way. I felt like I was inconveniencing the employees. After taking my Savannah Salad to go, I realized that some of the toppings were forgotten...bummer. read more

Lunch/deli type with prices on par with the quality of food; basically you are paying for what you are getting, quality food that tastes good. Went on opening day with a friend. The line to get in was long and outside the doors yet we were able to get in, order, and be out within a half hour. I ordered the horseradish roast beef & cheddar sandwich with a ruben spud minus the filthy sourkrout. That particular spud is only available during the week of St. Patty's day, so maybe I'll make a yearly tradition just for that! read more

Had my first McAlister's experience here and it was awesome. The Pick 2 option is a great deal and the Pecanberry seasonal salad is super tasty. They have plenty of healthy options (and not so healthy but delicious options) and the famous iced tea lives up to its reputation. read more

The most recent time I went there I ordered the BLT+A with macaroni and cheese for my side and an order of nachos. Love, love, love this place. It's always clean. The food is always fresh. The employees are clean and knowledgeable about store policies and the menu. The manager is super friendly and fair, wish I could remember his name. We ate there on a Friday night, our order was messed up twice. The employee notified the manager, we DID NOT ask to see him, that our order had been messed up, the manager made sure it was corrected for the 3rd time and gave us a gift card good for two meals. I went there for lunch with a friend. The cashier who waited on me who was also the manager was rude. My friend and I sat at a table that was extremely wobbly. I tried folding napkins to level and stabilize the table but it didn't add enough support and since we both having soup we asked the person who brought out my friend's food if there were any other tables. He said that we could sit on the other side of the dining room. We went to sit in this area and the manager came out to the dining area yelling, "You can't sit there!". I told her that we were going to sit since our table wasn't functional and we need something stable in order to eat our soup. She then began to slam down shipping boxes on tables onto the tables on both sides of where we were sitting. After that, she began to fold take-out boxes. After 10 minutes I still didn't have my food and when it arrived it was cold. The manager continued to stand behind my friend hoving and folding boxes for the entire time that we were there. My suggestion is if you're only allowing what amounts to .25 of your seating available you need to make sure that the tables that you have for dine-in customers are functional if not please swap them out with tables that aren't being used due to social distancing. Lastly, there wasn't a take-out emergency that I know of since the take-out boxes were stacked three high and no one was taking them to the kitchen to fill orders the entire time we were there. I love their loaded spuds! Their baked potatoes are so good and yummy. I j ie they are known for sweet tea but I love their unsweetened tea. Their cups are big and you get plenty of tea. I drink a lot when I'm out to eat so I can appreciate a big cup and not having to get a refill. Love this place. read more

Purchased to go order "You pick two" yesterday. Our staff did as a group, my order was awful! The broccoli soup tasted like evaporated milk with some veggies. The sandwich was tiny with average taste. There were no sides of chips or fruit, etc and the total was almost $10. I am not planning on going back unless I hear there is improvement. Food was good as always. Staff leaves much to be desired. I confirmed that my order had extra cheese with the lady who took my order and she assured me it was on my order. Not taking time to listen to me and didn't put it on my order. I confirm with the man who delivered my food that I needed my extra cheese and he comes back with a sprinkle of cheese! Not even half of a dish. I tell him a little more sprinkle isn't extra cheese and I paid for extra cheese. His smart ass sasses me rushes off and proclaims I didn't pay so I hand him my card and ask for a small dish of cheese then. His smart ass charges me $4 for Mac & cheese then uses a Mac and cheese side bowl to put a huge obnoxious amount of cheese in and bring out to me. Then has the balls to tell me he can get me a refund if I'd like less cheese. Teach your employees some respect. If you don't want your job Alex I'm sure someone else in need would love a job. I was expecting a real deli where I would place a sandwich order to go. This is just a regular chain restaurant. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and was very disappointed that the bread they used was cold. They didn't bother to grill the sandwich. I could get the same thing at Arby's for a lower price. I have been to a McAlisters in Springfield years ago. I was impressed then but not now. I ordered the chili and four cheese grill. My mother ordered the veggie chili and the veggie club. The chili was clearly out of a can. The sandwiches were lackluster at best. The lettuce was rotted. We were very disappointed. Portions were very small. I finished my meal and I'm still hungry. Next time, I'll go to Panera's or Jason's Deli. I must add that the service was good. Employees were friendly, the place is clean and the food came out promptly. I have been to McAlister's several times in other locations. Usually good, but this one not so much. Maybe they just are still working out the kinks since they opened recently, but my chicken caeser wrap was horrible. It had NO dressing on it, way too much lettuce, NO parmesan cheese, and NO tomato as requested. The tortilla was stale, and the chicken was chewy and gross. Will NOT be going back to this location.
