Was in town this past weekend for a cheer competition. Randomly ended up at this spot. We ordered a pizza, sandwich, salad, and garlic cheese bread. They threw in some cookies since it was our first time. Ethan and Alex helped us they were amazing and super attentive. The food was delicious. My favorite was the garlic cheese bread! Usually love Picklemans. Last time we ordered it was subpar therefore it had been awhile so we decided to try again tonight. That didn't work out for me. Ordered delivery. My chiplotle chicken was a whole lot of subpar spinach with very little chicken. Super disappointed to say the least. My boyfriend's sandwich was loaded with meat. Yay for him. read more

Place was ok, didn't really want to eat here but being in downtown and having a college tournament nearby everywhere was busy with kids. Food I decided pizza was going for a sub then went back to pizza cause it sounded good. It's a thin crust style so enough to share. Got Italian sausage comes with marinara and cheese then into the roller oven. Crust crispy on edges middle was meh. Flavor was ok along with sausage. We pass this place often when we visit the t mobile center. We are happy that we tried it tonight. My hubby is very hard to impress and this place impressed him so I have to give them 5 stars! The service was great. It was clean and bright. There is an echo so I understand how it could get very loud when busy. They were not busy at all tonight and it was still kind of loud- so maybe they need some noise cushions or something so noise doesn't carry or echo so bad. My husband got a club of some sort. The sandwich was toasted and looked delicious. They have many options on their menu including bbq mac n cheese. That's probably what I would have opted for if I was eating. I feel like their chips were big winners here. The bag was larger than most places and very unique. Not your run of the mill chip side. Visiting on a quiet Sunday afternoon, I ordered the BLT and a bag of chips. The servers seemed busy and focused. The sandwiches weren't large but they were filling and I enjoyed mine. I'd like to go back and try some of the other sandwiches, as the flavors look intriguing. My impression is that there is maybe a little less meat on each sandwich than other sandwich shops offer. I opted for the half soup and half salad entree. I chose the broccoli cheddar & the Cesar. I'd opt for another salad than the Cesar - while pretty good, the other salads looked a little more extra and same price. The broccoli cheddar wasn't bad but nothing mind blowing. The roll served with it was hot and came apart easily. My friend got the chicken sandwich and it was a bit disappointing just to look at - very little chicken. For two - it was just under $30. Grabbed dinner with a group at pickleman's. It was not busy at all on a Monday night at 5:30. Ordering was easy and quick. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich with jalapeño chips. I'm sad I didn't take pictures of either of my meals here! I came for lunch and dinner in the same day and it was great. It wasn't far from the Kansas City convention center which didn't have the most appealing food. My coworkers and I have came to this location two days in a row as the food was great for lunch. I got the same Italian Club sub two days in a row. The pizza that my coworker got also looked very delicious and she said it was good. Forgot to take a picture of the subs but this is way better than a Subway or other chain sandwich shop. read more

What a wonderful business that not many of us in our office really knew about. We had lunch provided to us by Pickleman's and everything was excellent. A great assortment of sandwiches were delivered I think like 10 different types of sandwiches with plenty of dressing, A huge salad with 3 large orders of dressing, and 2 boxes of fresh, warm, chocolate chip cookies. Everyone enjoyed the lunch and everything was great. The delivery was sooner then expected and the food honestly was beyond what we expected for lunch. It's a Dutch crunch so it has a nice crunchy texture on top but the bread itself has a nice chew and holds up to whatever toppings you like. I personally favor the Crown Town club. It's a classic club sandwich-turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a chipotle mayo. I like to also add smoked Gouda because cheese improves everything imho. They also offer vegetarian options, hot sandwiches, chips, and cookies. I've honestly loved everything I've eaten from them over the years so you really can't go wrong. If you're at The Commons or even Cinder Block next door, definitely stop by and get something to eat. Highly recommend!

I recently moved back to KC after a 9 year hiatus in Omaha. Omaha was where I heard of the restaurant, but not where I fell in love it. My ex got a job there after he was laid off from his main job. He would always bring pizza home and never share. (this is not why he is my ex but that would make for a better story) He's the reason I never ate it, it reminded me of him. That was over 2 years ago, I work downtown KC now and there is a sandwich place that mislead me by not being freakishly fast. I have found a place that is fresh, delicious and filling , the drivers call my phone when they arrive letting me know if there is no one at the desk to retrieve my order. They have even gone above and beyond by hiding it while on the phone with me so I know just where to find it. I am so happy my ex worked there, if not I'd never have craved it without knowing what it was and I would have never ordered it to give myself a sense of closure. Pickleman's is better then a boyfriend...Picklemans always deliver the real goods. Simply put, the greatest customer service i have ever experienced. It has a great spacious area that made me feel welcome, the employees were not only helpful but extremely kind as well. They threw in free cookies and free drinks for me and all my friends as well. The grilled cheese i got felt perfect, the best form of such a simple food. The bread tasted like the type you for restaurant appetizers, but even better. I don't think i will ever have as good of an experience in a sandwich shop in my life. read more
