Good lunch or dinner place. A little pricey but the food is fresh and the portions are a really good size. Their iced tea is great and it's self serve so you can have all that you want and take a cup home too. Those sandwiches are simple but flavorful and they offer 7 sides including chips Mac and cheese and others. Food came out quickly and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The girl at the counter was helpful and patient as we figured out what we needed to do and just made it a great experience. I took my ex here for lunch after striking out with a couple of new places I had been wanting to try out for lunch in downtown and on Mass Ave. By the time we arrived here, it was the middle of the afternoon so there was no waiting in line to place an order. She ordered the Pecan Berry Salad with half a French Dip sandwich. I ordered the Classic Grilled Chicken on a Croissant with a cup of Broccoli Cheddar soup. I also got a Mardi Gras cookie which is basically a snickerdoodle with a cream cheese filling. That cookie was just okay. She loved her salad. I didn't know they had a French Dip sandwich and she didn't know their grilled chicken had no herb flavoring/seasoning, so we traded sandwiches. I really loved the French Dip sandwich and now have a new favorite. She says most grilled chicken has too much of a herb flavor but not so with McAlister's. So now she has a new favorite too. As tasty as their adult food is, you would think a little more effort would be put into their kids meals. Total swing and a miss. One only took one bite of their not grilled, grilled cheese sandwich and said it was "yucky." While the other nibbled a hot dog from one of the funky looks Pretzel Dogs and declared, "Ew." My favorite Savanna Salad was fresh and tasty and I experienced the typical great service that I receive at this location. Just wish their kids meals were more appetizing. read more

Fast friendly service at this location. I generally just order carry out. Somewhat hooked on their salads, which are quite large and filling. The dressings are awesome too, which is what makes or breaks a salad in my opinion. The interior of this store is nice and clean, but then again I stopped by during off hours and don't know what it may look like in here when it's busy. read more

My brother loves McAllister's and picked it for lunch today. I've ordered delivery before but this was my first time dining in. The staff greeted us right away and were friendly throughout our visit. The first thing I noticed was just how clean the restaurant was. We chose to eat on the patio which was perfect with the fans overhead. I ordered the Jalapeño Turkey Crunch sandwich. I love potato chips in any sandwich and it was a good amount of spicy. I had potato salad on the side along with a huge unsweetened tea. My brother had the orange cranberry club which was even better than my sandwich. We ordered at the counter and they brought our food out to our table but you can you can also order tableside from the app. Or you can order online and pick it up to go. I have come to this location of McAlister's countless times. This most recent time I noticed they have made a few changes inside. In the past, the cashiers would always make your drinks for you and someone would walk around the space and get you refills. Now, the drinks are available anytime near the front. Ordered 10 boxed lunches for a family event. The order was placed in person ahead of the day, with an itemized receipt of all items. Picked it up and was assured that the order was accurate (my mistake for not verifying). Got the items back to the house and of course, it was wrong. When it turns out that your first choice for lunch falls through, It is nice to know that a dependable alternative is in the neighborhood. My wife and I were out to try some new local place, but found it did not have an actual sit down location and it's sister business was experiences a loss of its kitchen equipment/fryers, so we decided to switch to plan C and since we have had good experiences at other McAlister's in the past, we pulled in and grabbed a bite. There was a lot of indoor seating, but the air conditioning made it quite chilly, so after ordering at the counter and being given a "Number card" to place on our table, it wasn't long before the servers found us and brought out our beverages. (these are huge! It also was just a short wait until our meals were also brought out. I ordered a really good Reuben with plenty of corned beef and a nice amount of sauerkraut. Really nice pairing of flavors. Unfortunately, when they made my wife's sub wrap. it had no condiments on it. She was given a condiment packet that was not pressed properly for easy opening. I was able to force a fork through the plastic and she was able to get a little mayo for her sandwich, but it would be nice if they could ask if you wanted any before they sent the sandwich out to the dining room. The utensils they give simply aren't sharp enough to open the packets neatly. She also upgraded her side to a tomato bisque soup for a small charge and thought it had a nice flavor, but was so thick that it reminded her of tomato sauce, not soup. Idk of the universe knew how much I was looking forward to this or the artisan in the back was having a good day, but when I tell you this sandwich gave everything it was supposed to and knew the assignment ..... SOOOOO GOOD and so beautifully prepared! I guess Campbells yesterday got me craving another sandwich lol! I ordered the Reuben with cucumber and tomato salad (how wonderful that they offer this! Eh... it's OK. Never my first choice but some family members love it, so I go with the flow. They have a huge menu and several signature items. The ingredients seem to be high quality and fresh. We visited this particular location on Sunday lunch and it was packed. A single line forms in the middle, leading to multiple cashier/order stations. They have a large staff: cashiers, cooks, and expediters, all looking busy and serving customer needs. I think the portion sizes are small for what you pay and they nickle and dime you on the sides. Extra $0.50 for this, extra $0.75 for that. Typical deli soups and salads and sandwiches. They have baked potato options, which I almost ordered, but instead got the McAlister Club in a wrap. The meat and cheese was fine, but the wrap was too chewy. Kind of like eating wet dough. I should have stuck with the regular bread. I'll have to live with that disappointment for the rest of my life; a never ending, gnawing, continuous regret. Gah. The good: there is something for everyone, so if you have picky eaters or a crowd, everyone can get what they want from the voluminous menu. Clean restaurant, good staff, decent food. I won't say that I place their tea above any other. In fact, I've always thought their tea didn't really taste as southern as their Mississippi roots would have me assume. That has no effect on my love of the restaurant, however. I can't say I've ever had a bad experience at McAlister's. The staff, comprised mostly of high school students, is one of the most courteous I've come across. The managers all seem to genuinely care about their staff and guests. They move customers through the lines efficiently without ever seeming rushed. I had a less than perfect experience at one during my wedding rehearsal dinner, but it was only because they were slammed in main dining area and I believe they were short staffed. At the end of the night, I didn't fault them at all for the few errors, and I felt no ill will towards the staff while trying to get those things taken care of. And then there's the food. The service, atmosphere, and prices are enough to get me back through the door, but the food makes me a regular. I cannot tell you how much I love cranberries on a sandwich, so having a year-round access to something as delicious as the Orange Cranberry Club is truly a pleasure. My wife always gets the French Dip and rarely has a complaint. And now that we both have their official tea tumblers, which are a perfect size for my morning breakfast fruit smoothies, we have no reason to stay away. I ordered my wife and I's meal online through google and it was a fairly simple process. But I was not sure where to pick it up and I waited in line for a while and when I finally got to the cashier they said they didn't have my order. It took a minute but he asked if I ordered online and when I said yes he walked me over to the designated area for online orders and another employee said that's not it. And I read the receipt and it was my order but it said it was for the DoorDash app. I have no clue why it said DoorDash but that's what happened. We got the food back home and everything was correct and the food was tasty. I really like McAlister's deli and will for sure go back again. Any soup, spud, salad, sandwich combination is the same price. Their California Turkey Reuben is dynamite as is their grilled chicken salad with honey mustard. Considering that I'm the "go to" person in the office for deciding where lunch comes from I opted for McAlisters for a couple of reasons that week; fair prices , great food, tasty sweet tea and excellent customer service. We placed a rather larger online order $100 or more. When I got there to pick it up, there were signs on the door that stated that they were closed due to a power outage..yikes! However as I got out of my car to go in I was greeted by a friendly person named Amanda whom I believed to be the manager of that location. Amanda took time to explain to me what had occurred and told me to come in so that she could take care of my order. She asked me to pull up my order and she got it taken care of. I was extremely impressed with Amanda's ability to handle the situation while addressing employee needs as well as mine. She was very courteous in ensuring that my large order was taken care of and done super fast. It was perfect! Not only do I recommend this location because of Amanda but also because I know that the customer service is just as consistent as the food.
