Only had red onion and chipotle ranch, which was not what I had ordered. Took 20+ minutes too, and they gave us free cookies, which I would have definitely given back if I had known how awful their food would be. Never coming back to this location. read more

Unfortunately this location is really missing the mark on customer service. The reality is, people don't go out to eat for good food. They go for customer service, hospitality, and an experience. That is what you remember. All of which are completely lacking here. The food is the only reason I gave 2 stars, it's good, but not good enough to overlook the complete disregard of process and care. Maybe AirPods are the new com system I'm not aware of, but partnered with the priority of internal drama being clear, I'm going to say the air pod in EVERY ear of EVERY employee was just an obvious show of their lack of desire to do anything other than gossip and meander. Dirty tables. Long wait times. No communication. I waited for my drink to be handed to be while the front of house discussed whether they liked each other or not, with my completed drink in hand as a prop. The potential here is clear with a nicely designed eating area and good food, but the staff is sending it into turmoil. A BOH employee, while more than adequately staffed with a total of 8 customers, came from BOH to run a register because of FOH's snail pace. My suggestion: close for at least two weeks, clean house (at least entire FOH), train up a motivated and determined staff, and your revenue will not only triple and more than cover the sacrifice of a temporary closure, but your customer retention will significantly increase in an area yearning for a consistent dining experience. Right now, consistently failing on most touch points is the norm here and I do not recommend. read more

It's either hit or miss since the pandemic. I believe they are having a difficult time keeping or hiring employees. Food used to be awesome and customer service outstanding. Not so much anymore. Things Went Great! We were concerned about parking considering the location next to Kennestone Hospital. But there are about 62 spaces and after church on Sunday we had no problem finding a space. There was a few people in line but it moved quickly and they added cashiers as well so we got to order in 2-3 minutes. I ordered the Ham & Cheese Melt for $7.29 @ 710 Calories. My wife had the Harvest Chicken Salad (contains pecans) for $7.29 680 Calories. My sandwich: Black Forest ham, Swiss, mayo , spicy brown mustard, and tomato on toasted ciabatta. A classic that had soft pillowy ciabatta and I really liked the spicy brown Mustard. My wife's: Chicken salad with cranberries and pecans, spring mix and tomato on croissant. She loves Chicken salad and thought this was a pretty good version. We both have eaten at McAlisters Deli many times just not at this new location. The interior is modern, clean and trendy. It is counter-order but delivered to the table after payment. We had a wait of about 10 minutes to get our food which is pretty good imho. I also had a cup the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Looks like they use tortillas to thicken the broth which I am good with. It gives the soup more body and adds flavor. Some Chicken Tortillas Soup versions use a tomato broth without adding tortillas to thicken...I am good with both kinds. The sweet tea was sweet but not too sweet. Being from the south, I quote Jeff Foxworthy," It is sweet-tea. All one word. Not 2 separate words...just 1 word sweettea...and that means it needs to be sweet." This was just right for me. Service was good except for a little attitude from the food runner who saying "Who had the soup???" Since my wife also had some soup it did not help Identify the correct person to the food. When we finally showed the young lady which plate went where, we got an eye roll and a derisive snort. I did not ding them a star because it was minor but I will if it continues. You state the name of the sandwich and soup. Or better yet, fix the software at the register to put a name to each dish. Enjoyed meal and thought the price, taste and ingredients were very good. I not only would eat here again, I will make this a regular part of my everyday lunch rotation. read more

I ordered online at 11:53 and as of 12:45 was told there were still 5 tickets ahead of mine and I would not be getting my food. Absolutely horrible customer service and attitude from the employee's who contributed to this rat hole stealing my money and not providing the product I paid for. The location in Marietta on Church St. is awful !! So many employees but they are slow. I ordered lunch at work so it would be ready when I got there. Well after arriving it was about 45 min to hour. They finally called me to front saying they were out of potato soup ( that was the reason I went ). One other time I went in and there were no one in restaurant but me to order and AGAIN it took about 30 min to get my small easy order. I don't recommend this location !!! What a wasted lunch hour...although food was alright the wait was unreal! Waited over thirty minutes although only four other customers in store. No explanations on long wait, not even an apology when I mentioned it to uncaring employee at register. The crew seemed more interested in joking and cutting up behind counter than taking care of customers. The manager came in about 30 mins after we ordered, then suddenly everyone got to work and we got our food (two sandwiches and a salad) about five minutes later. This location has gone down hill rapidly in terms of service. I always use the app to place orders and allow 30 minutes to pick up for a McAlister's Club and a Grilled Chicken Salad. My first order took over 10 minutes beyond the original 30. The second got me ill. I see the potato salad was not on the menu today. Tried curb side pick up today. got there early and waited in plain view of the counter. Counter person delivered an order to another car with Covid-19 mask around his neck & no gloves. After 7 minutes of waiting, my patience was gone. I won't go back until there is a real manager. Too bad because they started very well and were an easy stop on the way home from work. I feel for the kids who work there with appears to be very little direction. Gave feedback to corporate; we will see. read more

As a rule, my husband and I enjoy McAllister's. Stopped into the new one on Church Street today following a doctor's appointment. Young woman who took the order was essentially non-conversant - no greeting and unable to muster so much as a "thank you". Food was fine, but my sandwich was served on a dirty plate. I told the girl who took our order when she begrudgingly brought some lemon for our tea to the table. She didn't say a word....just took the plate and walked off! I had taken my soup cup off and put my sandwich on a napkin to show her the plate. Didn't say a word....no offer to replace the sandwich, no apology and didn't say a word to anyone in the kitchen. Watching her interact with other customers and behaving pretty much the same. Slaps the door in front of the people without saying a word to any of them. My experience was much more than I anticipated, aside from the amazing food I have come to expect from McAlister's the service time and customer service was superior! I've enjoyed the food for more than 20 years in my home town of Oxford MS and found the quality was superb as always.
