I like this location a lot. There isn't a lot of good food on this section of McGalliard, so it's nice to have an inexpensive, yet quality option for lunch. I really like their soups and sandwiches. The potatoes are great too, but for my money, a cheese sandwich dipped in potato soup....mmmmmm. Staff was courteous and service was quick. This location is also very clean! We've been here a few times, and we enjoy their food. But for what you pay, you just don't get very much. You don't leave full, which for me, doesn't make me interested in going very often. I think they need a better selection of sides to make it more of a meal instead of a snack. I do, however, love the setup of the restaurant. read more

Nachos were good, but very messy...Delivered to my hotel room with no fork or napkins, so very hard to eat. Also, I ordered unsweetened tea as I am diabetic, but they brought me sweet tea with sugar instead. Seemed like an easy enough order, but it was disappointing how wrong they got it. read more

Took my daughter here for lunch on a Sunday. I ordered the Italian chopped and it was not worth the price (mostly lettuce with a small scoop of other items). We turned the card around to show that we needed service and noticed the employees passing our table 7 times without stopping. One employee actually looked at the card that indicated we needed service and still passed us up. My daughter went up to get a box and several employees were behind the counter. One was the manager. They did not acknowledge her so she had to wait until they were ready to take care of the customer. Poor service all the way around. read more

There was a lack of communication with the order taker. I ordered a whole sandwich and got half. I complained and they gave me another half; but the po boy had about half the toppings of the first half. The sandwich was not especially good either; as the sausage was dry. I will think long and hard before I go there again with grandchildren. I spent a lot of money, asked for my diet pop to be little ice. When I left I asked for my drink to be topped off and the gentleman just stuffed it with ice. Before I got home the drink was awful. read more

The newest McAlister's in the region seems to have captured all of the chain's successful formula and taken it to another level. Great food as usual, modern design, LCD menus and an iced tea bar and separate pickle bar gives it extra nice touches. In our 3 visits since opening the service has been exceptional. Keep it up McAlister's and welcome to Muncie. read more

One of my favorite places in town to eat! I was stoked to drive McGalliard and see a McAllister's was moving into town! I've been to McAllister's several times in the past at many different locations for the past 7 years or so. Each location has been great! Muncie's location is even better, it's wonderful! The restaurant is always clean, the service is always great, and the atmosphere is relaxing without being sleepy. I am quite a salad eater. That being said I've tried a few of their salads, and my favorite is the Savannah Chopped Salad! This salad is the best, low priced salad in the market right now, bar none! The chicken on the salad is always fresh, moist, and delectable! Most salads from deli locations and fast food restaurants have chicken that is overly salty, dry, and fibrous. This chicken is on the contrary, and it is prepared consistently wonderful. The shallot dressing that accompanies is wonderful too! A must have dish! Their teas are unforgettable as well! I could probably fill up on tea and pickles alone, because the tea is that great! It's smooth, flavorful, and always tastes fresh. McAllister's is a must when in Muncie! read more

This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I am a pervious employee of a different McAlisters location, and this location was run horribly. The manager wasn't even sure what he was doing, and all the employees worked so slow it seemed as if they were all in slow motion. I ordered a club sandwich and the breads was soggy and not toasted as it should be. As I was waiting on my to-go order another guest came up to the register and asked for help. The employee who helped this guest was super rude to her. She acted like it was a burden to help this guest when it is her JOB to help guests. When I received my food it was poorly made, AND they forgot my side. I am extremely annoyed because I was really looking forward to my potato salad. Never going back to this location. read more

Used to go there a lot with my family and I got this pizza thing that was on their menu. Went a long time without going and the Pizza item was taken off of the menu but I wasn't aware so when I mentioned it the manager said that he knew exactly what I was talking about and they had all of the ingredients so they could still make it for me. It was a wonderful experience. read more

Poor customer service. Had several employees walk by and not check on us. I went up to get refills and had to wait at the counter for a long time to get service. Food was ok but not worth the price. I tried this McAlisters in Muncie because I have ate at the ones in Indpls and I always got top notch service, This one in Muncie is Fairly New. I tried to call in my take out order, but when I called they immediately put me on hold, on hold as laying the phone on the counter and never answering. 10 minutes later I hang up. so I go to the new McAlisters with order in hand, when I arrived they had a line lined up outside waiting to go inside to order. so I enter through the curbside pickup order door. I asked where the pickup order register was and I was directed to the proper register. When I attempted to place my order a Mgr rudely interrupts me and tells me that I have to go to the end of the line going out the main entrance. I say sir you mean the line over there lined out that door? the same line where everyone is waiting to order and eat inside ? the Mgr says yep. I said I am not going to the end of that line when everyone is eating inside, this is the reason you have this register, for people to order and for pickup orders, but I shouldn't have to tell you this. Mgr says sorry sir you are going to have to go to the end of that line. at this point im really mad, so I say well I tried to call in my order but you rudely put me on hold and not taking my order. so you either let me order here or I call your corporate office and report you. He says ok place your order then. I did report him and told corporate about my really bad experience and no one ever called me or emailed me. The food is great but the customer service is absolutely horrible read more
