    French dip
    Rob B.

Clean, modern dining room with TVs, great food/quality fresh ingredients. Loved the french dip (ton of delicious thick roast-beef with a jus, served hot on soft toasted baguette bun). Wife loved her chicken wrap. Even the fresh potato salad and lemonade (free refills) were great!

We've been here a few times. I always get the pecan berry salad. It's amazing, and the fat free raspberry vinaigrette is the best.

The booth I sat in was ran down, you shouldn't sink into the booths when you find that perfect "@ss spot" being used for over 5 years. (Pet peeve of mines, this is why I hate booths). The menu is sort of all over the place with no cohesiveness. The price points for the quality and quantity is off for me, way off. I wanted the wedge salad but was told they have no ranch... "how don't you have ranch" I ordered the chicken piccata, it was nothing to write home about. Strike two when the waiter asked did I "need any salt and pepper, hot sauce". (Eyebrow raise, hot sauce!?!?) They warmed the frozen chicken breast up nice. The sauce was good but a burnt flavor lingered. Not sure if it was the sauce or the burnt vegetables. The mashed potatoes were congealed and flavorless. After I found a dime sized black flat ball of something in the mashed potatoes I had enough. I looked at all the beautiful dishes on yelp before I came here. ***WARNING*** if you don't see good pics and reviews within 10 months or so old, DONT DO IT! I can imagine the locals are helping to keep this place alive...

For food, we shared two appetizers and honestly could have made a meal out of them. The Dominican Flag was incredible: crispy fried plantains, perfectly melty fried cheese, Dominican salami and smoky longaniza, all topped with pickled red onions that added the perfect zing. Every bite was packed with flavor and felt like true comfort food. We also loved the Loaded Yuca Balls; crispy golden yuca stuffed with cheese and topped with roasted pineapple, jalapeños, sour cream, and bacon. The combination of sweet, spicy, cheesy, and savory was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was great. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and did a great job throughout our meal. I ordered the Garlic Chimichurri Shrimp. While the shrimp was cooked well, it had a pretty fishy taste that just wasn't for me, and I wasn't a fan of the cilantro aioli. Several people in our group really liked the pineapple dressing, though, so I'd definitely give that a try if I went back. Next time, I'd order a different entrée because there were several other dishes that looked delicious. The only thing that felt a little off was when we first walked in. The gentleman at the front just stared at us without greeting or acknowledging us, which was a bit intimidating. It wasn't a huge deal, but a simple "Hi, we'll be with you in a moment" would have made for a warmer first impression. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd definitely return to try something different on the menu. I also had the flan, which was pretty good and the Tropical Bay House which was tasty! ,

If you order and pay in the app - just choose to pick up in the store because if you pull up in your car even though your order is ready a you're gonna have to wait for all the other cars in front of you to complete their orders. They should pay better attention to that and tell other to pull around or to the side or offer to bring your food outside.

But today...my soup just lacked that "it" factor. It was under-seasoned to begin. The broth was lackluster and just left you wanting something more. Kinda like ex-boyfriend vibes. The Caesar Salad stuffer was decent but again, lacked spice and seasoning. Spice not meaning spicy but flavorful. I remember a creamy, balanced and totally dippable tomato bisque, but now? Again, where is the salt? Where is the basil or pepper? Garlic? It was just overly acidic without that beautiful fresh sweetness of tomato and had a funky, old carpet after taste. Acidic and sour...like an ex-girlfriend. The asiago bagel was okay. But most are. Our order taker was friendly enough and certainly efficient. So I gave it an extra star for the service and about $12 a person and you go home full. But you have to ask yourself...would that $12 been better spent somewhere else? Yeah. So Panera? No. Not anymore.
