I wanted a take a moment to give kudos to the folks at McAlisters. I generally visit at lunch time. I usually go around 11 to avoid the lines which gather around noon. That being said they keep 3-4 cashiers open during the rush and the line moves quickly. Generally, Ronda the manager or Tristan the assistant manager (who are so nice) stop by to talk or refill your drinks. The menu is huge. My go to is the King Club on Ciabatta bread. It is a monster of a sand which. I also enjoy their chicken tortilla soup, spud max and for dessert the rice Krispy treats. Overall, a good experience. It's very clean and has a great food selection. Mcalister's has been a favorite work spot for us to have lunch, I've even ordered from home a couple times and never have been disappointed. Salads always are fresh, and I've enjoyed the sandwiches and lemonades they offer. I think my favorite thing about them is their consistency in service and the food provide. read more

I ordered a Harvest chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with a side of potato salad via phone. I also requested a pickel spear. When my husband picked up the order the sandwich was smushed. There was also too much spring mix and not enough chicken salad. They even forgot the pickel spear which I had asked for. I go there frequently. This was a disappointing visit for sure!!! read more

I will preface this review by saying... not only did I work for this chain for a year and a half, I managed one of the locations for about 11 months. YAY for McAlister's finally hitting H-Town and surrounding suburbs. Thursday afternoon I left work in Dallas in a hurry. I wanted to get out of dodge before the snow hit. I got to The Woodlands a little before 4pm but it was another hour and 45 minutes before I made it all the way down I-45 to Webster. I was hungry. It was cold. It was rainy. And my best friend and her husband were at home waiting on me to decide what was for dinner. I suggested that I would just pick up McAlister's so they wouldn't have to get out in the nasty weather. They hadn't tried McAlister's before except for the Sweet Tea I used to bring down to Houston by the gallon when I worked at one. I ordered my BFF a chicken salad sandwich with potato salad, sweet tea and a white chocolate macademia cookie. Her hubby got a Chicken Fajita Spud with extra salsa and extra sour cream, a sweet tea, and an oatmeal raisin cookie. I ordered my usual... the Bacon Spud with two sides of blue cheese dressing (for dunking), a sweet tea with extra lemon and a sugar cookie. My only complaints were... that they wouldn't let me redeem my "Supper Club" punch card for a free meal... and they gave me a "Tea Card" but didn't bother giving me punches for the 3 teas I bought. Ugh. Ordered our food and then found out there was no air conditioning or fans or opened doors to give a breath of air. I asked them to turn on the fans they had behind the counter and they just smiled. Too bad I went for the soup. Got a pick two--or choose two--as they name it. If youre not going to toast the bread on a club sandwich at least make the bread fresh since the meat and toppings were almost nonexistent. I had a dried bread sandwich. The broccoli cheddar soup was good but I will go to Panera for my pick two next time as it also includes a side. read more

The quality of this location has really gone down hill lately. It used to be good, but the last several times we've gone it's kinda crappy. The sandwiches are thrown together haphazardly, with all the ingredients piled in the center and almost no condiments on them. They even cheap out on paprika on the potato salad, so much that you can hardly see it without looking hard. If we order a condiment substitution, they can't even be bothered to put it on the sandwich. They just gave us a cup of it on the side. On a club that means we have to take apart all four quarters and spread it on the tiny pieces of bread ourselves, something that would take no extra effort for them to do while making the sandwich. read more

Went very hungry after watching Poltergeist. They did not disappoint! Split a french dip and an Italian sandwich. My bf got the chicken and dumplings and I chose potato salad for my side. Both sandwiches were really tasty and presented well, it looked good. The meat, cheese bread and vegetable ratios were spot on, to the very last bites. The soup and side were not bad my pot sal complimented my sandwich halves nicely. When paying we did have some trouble redeeming our gift card (???) but the manager took care of it right away so it was a non-issue. The place was super clean and while not busy when we arrived, quickly began filling up. I appreciate the layout of the dining area as it allows for some privacy. If you like that sort of thing. The main reason I'm writing this review is to highlight the staff. Mostly young adults, they were very courteous! WTG McCallisters@Webster! During our meal we were checked on twice and they even took my bf's plate and soup dish when he finished his meal before me. Big difference between Friday at noon and Saturday evening. Friday lunch was great sandwich and soup excellent. Saturday evening, not so good. I'm a big fan of this deli. The best-corned​ beef sandwich I had since moving to TX. The potatoes salad is very good also.

I eat here way too often. I've tried almost everything on the menu. My favorite is the chef salad, its always fresh and delicious. Also the french dip and the horseradish roast beef sandwich are excellent. Oh, and don't forget to get a massive sweet tea. Although the line is very long during lunch, it moves quickly. We just had Door Dash deliver food from this McAlister's Deli and it was pretty much inedible. The food isn't fresh, at all. Nacho cheese dip was so old and discolored it wouldn't even thin up in the microwave. Lettuce in the salads the not only tasted bad, but you can even smell the rottenness. One of the roast beef sandwiches had huge chunks of fat that was so large it should have been cut off before serving. Maybe this is their way of making the sandwich look bigger. There's lots of choices available these days and as much as we want to support the community, this place is a waste of money. read more

This place is fantastic! Never a bad meal here. When I lived in North Carolina, I never frequented Mcallisters that often. When I moved to Clear Lake, I realized I needed to go in. They did not disappoint! Their prices are on point!! It is so inexpensive to eat here. Tipping is not required. The iced tea is phenomenal. We've had the Savannah chopped salad, the Orange Cranberry club, The French Dip sandwich, and the Spud Max. Their broccoli and cheese soup is the best I've ever had. Their kale and parmesan turkey sausage soup (with bonus points for making it TURKEY for those of us who can't eat pork) is so satisfying! First of all, let me preface this. If you are craving a baked potato come to this place!! I add (in addition to the cheddar cheese) the cheesy rotel? Soooo good! The Savannah Chopped Salad is delicious! If you love salads, try this! Its wonderful! We also tried the Big Nasty one time. Great flavors (I love me some brown gravy) but I do recommend having a fork on hand. It can get messy! My boyfriend preferred the French Dip sandwich as he's not a brown gravy fan. Go here. Take your kids here. This place is exceptionally kid friendly. Oh how mccalister's has changed. When I first went to this chain, 20 years ago, the spuds were large and filled. The sandwiches are still good, but the spuds are a shadow of their former glory. I'll give this location kudos for prompt and friendly service, and the food is certainly good. The spuds simply are not what they used to be. read more

In my eyes, McAlister's Deli is like a Jason's Deli without the salad bar and free self-serve ice cream. It's an all-right place to go if you want a sandwich, a spud, a salad, or other deli foods. I ordered the grilled chicken club with a side of macaroni and cheese. No complaints. The food came out really quickly (I had barely sat down). The sandwich was pretty good, and the mac 'n' cheese was good, albeit drenched in a liquidy cheese. This location is pretty clean and the food comes out fast and fresh. Sweet iced tea is always good. The girls who deliver the food and take away your empty plates are attentive and helpful. The young men behind the counter, however, seem dismissive and uninterested. (I think that's what it's called) but the best part of today was a guy working here named Connor I think? He was super friendly and engaging, while also I could see him working hard. I first learned of a McAlister's Deli when I was working out of state. I loved its food so I was happy when this McAlister's opened in town. I typically have a panini (I've tried them all!) and love them. I definitely love their infamous sweet iced tea. It's great it's free refills and there's always someone walking around to refill your drink and bring it to your table. They have daily soups that are all yummy. From potato soup to chicken n dumplings and everything in between are all homemade tasting. The only menu item I was not too much of a fan of was the baked potato. It was a bit dry. But remember, this is not their "speciality" so to speak. I definitely still stick to their sandwiches, paninis, and soups. Each year they have National Iced Tea day where they offer free iced tea to customers, with no purchase necessary. Pricing is reasonable and affordable. Service is fairly quick for the quality of food you receive. Everyone has to at least try out this place at least once. read more

Usually an excellent place. Not today. They have many new people, some who do not read English. They gave two sandwiches without any sauce of any kind. What is a Reuben Sandwich without Thousand Island Dressing and a Chicken Caesar without Caesar dressing. I asked for red onions ... got none. The request was on the receipt taped to my bag...add red onions...hmm. They asked me if I ordered drinks and what were they, even though it was printed on the receipt. I came back in when the bag of choc. chip cookies was not there. I went to the park to eat and found two very dry sandwiches. Today they let me down. They need to hire people who can read English on the ticket and watch them until they know what to doMy and know what makes a basic sandwich that kind of sandwich, especially since it is a Sandwich Shop! The spicy southwest chicken sandwich is amazing! I would definitely recommend it. The fact that you can order online or call for a to go order makes it so convenient for those quick work lunch breaks. I moved to spring so I haven't been here in 9 months. Well these past two months I've been helping out at my old job in Webster so I make sure to eat here at least once a week!. Their sweet tea is my weakness. Sometimes I come in just to order the tea! The customer service never fails me! Everyone is so quick to help you and they greet you the second you walk through the door... It's never dirty and I actually love that they have a tv in there now, usually on hgtv to keep me entertained when I'm there eating alone. I just make sure to avoid coming around noon. Food was mediocre. I got a choose 2. Muffuletta and loaded spud. The muffuletta was all bread and had very little olive salad, cheese, and meat in it. The loaded spud was good but the sour cream looked and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. Service was quick, but the cashier looked tired or annoyed. Probably just tired though. Decent to go sandwich shop that offers more than sandwiches. They have lighter options too and have good portions. McAlister's is clean and the staff are nice. Only downsides are the prices when it's not just you ordering and it's a hassle to get off the highway to reach the place. I'd say it's worth a try. read more

Never a let down. Everything is always fresh and tasty. I usually get the Choose Two with a half a sandwich and a salad. I tried their seasonal Pecanberry Salad which has fresh strawberries and blue berries in it. The dressing is tart, so be sure and try it before pouring over your salad. And since it's seasonal, it's available for a limited time only. So be sure and try it before it's gone! read more

My first time at McAlister deli in over 10 years and realized I missed nothing. I ordered a half grilled chicken salad and half Spud Ole. My only request was no jalapenos on my potato. When I get my order it has jalapenos on it and just not good at all. I could have got a better baked potato at Wendy's. The grilled chicken picture shows bacon throughout the salad, but my salad at 2 strips of bacon over it. Again salad was not very tasty. My husband had the McAlister Club sandwich with fruit. He thought the sandwich was average. Definitely not worth the price we paid. read more

I really want to like this place, because the staff is always nice.....but every time i go there i feel like I don't get what I'm paying for and feel ripped off. The food is average, the sandwiches are $4 to $5 sandwiches not $7 - $8 in quality or quantity. On the up side my wife really likes the salads since they've improved them considerably, but i still think they're average. read more
