However, since the property has been without a house for several years--having burned down during the Thomas Fire--we weren't sure what steps to take. To get some guidance, we reached out to Advanced Sanitation, the last septic company involved with the property. I spoke with Ana-Maria, who was incredibly professional, courteous, and highly communicative. She carefully listened to my clients' concerns, reviewed the property's file, and provided valuable insights. She noted that not only had the system passed inspection with flying colors before the fire, but it had also been pumped in the years following, without any issues, despite the absence of a home. Rather than simply scheduling an inspection, Ana-Maria asked me to send photos of the septic lids to ensure accessibility. She also consulted with the owner of the company about the situation. A few days later, she reached out with an update: the owner distinctly remembered this property. After reviewing the previous reports, he concluded that another inspection would be unnecessary and a waste of my clients' money. While he was happy to perform the inspection if requested, he explained that the findings would be identical to those from the last assessment since the system had remained unused and in good condition. I truly appreciated this honesty and their approach to client relationships--valuing long-term trust over a quick profit. This left a lasting impression on my clients, and when they eventually build their home and connect to this septic system, they will undoubtedly turn to Advanced Sanitation for their future needs. Their integrity and professionalism have proven them to be a company worth relying on.

Called for a main line clean out based upon a Google search and a $69 clean out special. Matt told me that my main sewer line had collapsed. Bad news. Worse was that it was under the slab in my house. They wanted to take out my bathroom vanity, jack hammer through the floors in my bathroom. Through the slab. Dig down, tunnel, and replace a 6' section of pipe. Fill it back in, and repair the concrete. That's a lot of really destructive work. Because I'm a first time customer, and a AAA member, they offered me a 15% discount on the flat rate project. Price came down to about $5,400. They had on the spot financing from Wells Fargo, and they could start on Sunday. Based upon my knowledge of how much things should cost (hourly rates for a plumber) vs. the cost for labor (they proposed tearing through the concrete), the price seemed astronomically high. But plausible. I asked him to send the quote and financing via email which he said he'd do, though it never arrived. I decided to call some friends and get a 2nd opinion. I'm glad I cooled my jets and took my time because it was all a SCAM. Another plumber came (won't give his name) and did a camera scope. The pipe is fine. Not all cast iron (I was told it was) - clay + some ABS plastic, and while there were some tree roots, the problem was that there was a ton of paper towels and other objects clogging things up. He was able to move the masses and the entire system flowed. Boom - just like that. Minutes. So - no collapse. No need to destroy my bathroom or jack hammer. Just the need to do the job these guys were hired for. Matt can't be trusted. Don't let these guys near your house. Really a shame as they give the good ones a bad name.

I had a great experience working with Eric. He came out to inspect my old cast iron pipes and…read morereally took the time to understand the situation. He ran a camera through the lines, walked the property with me, and explained everything clearly in layman's terms. He also laid out my options based on my long-term plans for the property, without any scare tactics or pressure to rush into work. Eric strikes me as a business owner who genuinely values honesty and integrity. He clearly has plenty of work and doesn't try to create problems that aren't there. I haven't decided yet whether I'm moving forward with the work yet, but if I do, I won't hesitate to work with him.

The city considers this repair a homeowner responsibility (after getting a city permit). The street must be opened up to access the main drain. At the same time my across-the-street neighbors hookup also failed. Eric was able to coordinate and obtain one permit and do both jobs opening up the street just once. They were prompt, efficient, skilled and NEAT. This was a huge job and they have my gratitude for their work ethic. Many of the homes here were built around the same time and will be encountering the same problem. I suggest you skip the rest and just call the PROs!!! Thank you Eric and crew
