We chose this spot for my birthday dinner, and it exceeded all of our expectations! Valet is available for $10, but there is also free street parking. We had reservations and were seated quickly. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with amazing hospitality and warm, friendly vibes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat on the patio and enjoyed beautiful views of Wayzata Bay, which made the evening even more special.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Taylor, was fantastic. She explained the menu thoroughly, offered great cocktail recommendations, and walked us through the specials. Every interaction felt genuine and welcoming. A special thank you as well to Julio, who stopped by to check on us and surprised me with a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate my birthday, such a thoughtful touch! Some of my favorite dishes of the night were the baked and loaded potato, which was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin, and the char-grilled sweet corn. As someone who loves sweet corn, I especially appreciated that it was served elote style. I ordered the Roselle cocktail, which was delicious, and for my entrée, I had the jumbo seared scallops. The scallops were cooked beautifully, and the gnocchi they were served with were incredibly soft and flavorful. From the food to the service to the atmosphere, it was 10s all around. Definitely worth the experience, and we can't wait to come back for brunch!

    Fat pants steak quesadilla

Made it here for Fat Pants and I'm so glad that I did!! And, I hate wasting food so it will be hard for me to go back. We had an incredible carne asada quesadilla that was HUGE!! The steak was cooked really well and the quesadilla was very delicious minus the onions. I picked those out because it was too much for me. Can't beat the price at $15 and when they run out they run out so get there early. The service was great and the staff were very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful space on the water![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]6Smith definitely lives up to its reputation as an upscale lakeside bar and grill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lakeside patio is adorable with cozy decor and great views, making it a perfect spot for summer drinks or dinner with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also highlight five separate private dining spaces, which makes this a great option for larger groups and events too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their happy hour seems like a fantastic deal, although it's worth noting that it's only available in the bar area and not on the patio. Our group ordered a variety of happy hour food to share, and the standout by far was the wings. They were easily my favorite thing on the menu, and honestly, I'd come back just for those alone! The lobster rolls were exactly what I'd expect from a Midwest restaurant. Nothing spectacular, but no complaints for $10 during happy hour. The Tuna Poke Crisps were decent, with a nice crunch, but they completely fell apart after a bite or two. The fries were solid as well. Delicious and homemade! Everything was beautifully plated. Our server was very friendly overall, but I was disappointed by her response when my gluten-free friend asked about menu options. She mentioned that the chef "doesn't like modifications, especially on the happy hour menu." Dietary restrictions aren't really the same thing as preference-based modifications, so that comment came across a bit snooty and left a bad impression. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, 6Smith has a beautiful atmosphere, a great patio, and some strong menu items.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wings alone are tempting enough to bring me back, but the service experience left me a little undecided on whether I'll be back!

My friends and I stopped in for happy hour and thought it was a great way to try this upscale restaurant without paying full dinner prices. I ordered the cheeseburger, and it was absolutely worth it at the happy hour price point. My friend got the wings and said they were some of the best she's ever had! One thing to note is that the food doesn't come with sides, so we ordered the fries trio to share between the table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere inside was super cute and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had originally hoped to sit on the patio, but happy hour is bar seating only.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is definitely on the pricier side- paying $2-$3 for a side of ranch felt a little excessive, but that can be expected at a more upscale spot. Overall, I'd come back again, especially for a girls' lunch, happy hour, or date night to try more on the menu. I was also intrigued by their brunch menu!

We love it here. But the kitchen is slipping. Ordered a dozen oysters and got the world's most sad lemon. :( waitstaff fixed it. Overall we keep coming because everyone here really rocks!

The cutest spot on the lake! I went here for my monthly dinner club and we got the bread is life as an appetizer and I HIGHLY recommend! We split the lobster roll, burger, and watermelon salmon salad with the lobster mac as a shared side. The lobster roll was delicious and the burger was the best thing we ordered! The salad was good but not for the price. Our server recommended dessert and we were blown away at how big this ice cream was!! Server was very kind and the view on the patio was perfect.

Before I dive in.. I only came here for drinks and ended up only getting one appetizer.. but that speaks to the company I was with (very distracting and great conversation) but also, what I had was amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views are immaculate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My date that I met there went all out and go an amazing table right by the water (5 stars) and I sat down and we promptly ordered drinks. I got my typical grey goose club soda lemon lime (and 2 more after that lol) and they were all great. The service was perfection, our waitress was really good about popping back in and out and not being too overbearing, she was really good about reading the vibe and that we were deep in conversation and I was really grateful for that. We got the wagyu meatballs and man oh man.. they were awesome, melt in your mouth, quality meat, great flavor, the sauce was perfect, not too runny or saucy at all and served with some nice crusty bread. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All in all, great vibes, great ambiance, great energy, lovely drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be back!

6Smith is exceptional with their cocktails and beverage options! The smokey old fashioned is worth it! Been here a couple times for Fat Pants Friday -- love the surprise and know it will be a one-meal-a-day meal! The highlight of dinner was the watermelon salad with salmon -- that was exceptional! The lobster pasta tasted great but wished the portion was a little larger! Two points that were disappointing for me were due to the steak tartar and the chicken wings. The tartar was WAY too salty and sour. I love pickles but this was overkill. At first glance, you know there's pickles in it with the fan of them. However, there were so many pickles diced in the tartar mixture, along with capers, that ultimately was unpleasant after a few bites. The chicken wings were cooked well and loved the spice mixture seasoning. Again, the saltiness was overpowering and unpleasant. On my second wing, the saltiness was so strong I wish I had scraped off the seasoning or saved some baguette to dilute the salt. Service is exceptional every time I have been here. Wait staff, greeters, bartenders. Everyone is pleasant and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]6Smith is absolutely beautiful inside and out! The inside bar is beautiful and the outdoor seating is gorgeous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would I come back? Yes. Definitely for drinks and maybe share some appetizers with friends on the lake.

Finally was able to make it for a FAT PANTS FRIDAY. They always have a lunch special on Fridays that is $15 and HUGE! Mine was a burger with 4 patties, bacon, an OMELET, and smothered in chorizo cheese sauce!! It was amazing and the service was too!

It took me too long to check this place out, but receiving a gift card for helping a friend gave me the push I needed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is nice and modern, but some of the artwork is a bit strange.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food and service were great! Our waiter was super knowledgeable about the whole menu and gave great recommendations, along with a lot of detail about various menu items. Being on the younger end of the age spectrum I've often felt overlooked or that I've received worse service at higher end restaurants due to my age, but that certainly wasn't the case here! I'm excited to visit again soon and try out some of their really compelling happy hour deals!

lobster squid ink pasta with scallops ($98)
    Vivian L.

I'll start by saying this is in no way a casual dinner spot. We ordered 4 drinks, 3 dishes and an appetizer and with tip, it came out to about $330 for 4 people and we were still hungry after. With that being said, what we did eat was delicious. They did mess up our order of the lobster squid ink pasta and rang us up for some kind of gnocchi dish instead, which I'm surprised they took back instead of letting us just keep. The prices were steep but it is reflected in the quality of the ingredients used. The scallops in particular were sooo huge and buttery. I hate to say this, but it was kind of like a mediocre place disguised as an upscale restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated outside, but there were mosquitoes and gnats flying around and they kept going in our food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It also started pouring rain randomly, and they just shifted people's tables over to squeeze them under the canopy instead of letting them move inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was subpar but the food made up for it!

We've been to 6Smith multiple times and it never disappoints. The ambience is incredible, set right on the lake with a warm and lively atmosphere that feels elevated without being stuffy. The service is always great. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely on top of things. The wine list is a standout and pairs beautifully with almost every dish. The steaks are consistently excellent, cooked exactly right and full of flavor. For starters, the meatballs are tender and deeply savory, and the bourbon and bacon comes in thick-cut slices with bold, delicious flavor. The Brussels sprouts are crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. "Bread is Life" is another fun starter. The baguette has a thick, crunchy crust that can be a little tough to cut, but the flavor makes it worth the effort. If you want seafood, the salmon is a sleeper hit. The corn and potato combination on the plate works surprisingly well. Their salads are huge and beautifully done. Make sure you save room for dessert. The portions are massive and indulgent. Great food, amazing wine, friendly service, and a lakefront setting you simply cannot beat.

Extremely professional and attentive service! I honestly could not ask for more. Our server was on top of everything. We had a girls birthday brunch reservation for 12:30 and had a great time! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They decorated the table, gave the birthday girl a coupon and brought out a dessert to share with a candle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We look forward to coming back this summer to enjoy the weather and view![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

She was so kind and personable as well! The patio was also great and not too loud other than motorcycles passing. We started off with ordering the walleye tacos entree but just ate it as an app since we were hungry! The tacos were huge and the walleye was good but we wish there was more. The pineapple salsa was also delicious but there was a lot of it and it really empowered the walleye unfortunately . The fries were great as well! We wouldn't recommend the BLT pictured. Not sure what happened but we probably should've sent it back but we just aren't that kind of people and we eat what we get. I got a salad but modified it so I didn't want to show a pic that isn't accurate of the salad. It was the apple buttermilk and it was good! Overall good experience and I do believe we would go back but order different items next time! Would have been a 4 but struggling with the BLT.

The ambiance is bright, lively, and energetic without feeling overwhelming. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive. We were seated promptly, and our server was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable when offering menu recommendations. Throughout the meal, service remained efficient and attentive despite the restaurant being quite busy. We started with the lobster guacamole, which was outstanding and packed with flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the lobster roll, and it did not disappoint. The lobster was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, while the toasted roll complemented it perfectly. It's easily one of the better lobster rolls I've had and was a highlight of the meal. Other dishes at our table included wings, flatbread, and the cauliflower dip, all of which were excellent. Portions were generous across the board, especially the apple crisp, which was large enough to share and a great way to finish the meal. What truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The restaurant buzzes with activity, creating a vibrant setting where friends and families can gather, socialize, and unwind. Between the lake views, beautiful décor, and lively crowd, it has an energy that makes you want to linger and enjoy the experience. The pricing felt reasonable for the quality of the food, service, and overall setting. With delicious food, attentive service, and one of the most inviting atmospheres around, this is a place I would gladly return to and highly recommend for lunch, dinner, or special occasions.

Their choice of plates is an interesting one because the plates have specks that make you think they're dirty. The egg rolls weren't good at all and the inside wasn't fully cooked so you could take the flour in the wrap. The jerk chicken flatbread had no jerk sauce/seasoning on it. While I understand food costs and needing a pared down menu, gone were the uniquely Jamaican dishes such as the jerk bowls and the jackfruit, etc (still on the website by the way). I really enjoyed the sauce they drizzled on and their mango Cole slaw was one of the first times I actually liked a restaurant Cole slaw.
