    Crispy Chicken Caesar salad
    Stacy A.

We went to an outdoor event in downtown Wayzata and stopped in for dinner. The decor is cozy and we were seated by the fireplace, which was nice. There were a couple of pasta dishes that sounded really good to me but I was hesitant to try them since this was an Irish pub. I went with the crispy chicken Cesar salad and it was tasty. Perfect amount of dressing and cheese and the chicken was tasty. One negative is the kids meals are quite expensive, I believe $13 for just basic kids food. I also didn't like the water (I know it sounds weird but it really tasted like tap water and didn't have ice). Other than, perfectly nice pub in a prime location.

McCormack offers fast and friendly service with a beautiful view of the lake. Parking is a bit limited, but there are parking structures available. The food was tasty--my husband loved his burger, and my club sandwich really hit the spot. A great spot for a meal with a view!

The ambiance is wonderful, both inside and out. Outside there is a view of the lake under a covered patio, inside is warm and inviting, what you think of for an old Irish pub. We sat inside in the bar due to a bee problem outside, this was not our intent, but glad they told us about it vs just sitting us out there. Overall the service was slow, we waited 15 -20 minutes to get our first drink. I ordered a Rachel, that came with a "special sauce" that has a kick to it. Unfortunately my stomach can't handle anymore kicks- totally my fault that I didn't look closely at the menu, where it clearly calls out special sauce. Lesson learned, look at the menu before ordering. The bottom piece of bread was soggy, my guess it was from the sauerkraut. I order Rachels all the time and have not had this happen before, I wonder if other restaurants I drain the kraut better to prevent this. I requested aioli to dip my fries in, I think I got straight mayo. My husband got the Fish and Chips, he was not impressed, he cannot pinpoint why, but it just wasn't that good. Coleslaw was good, but the compote of tartar sauce was not full and not enough. Both our orders came with plenty of fries. To McCormicks defense, we did not bring up any of this to our server, it had been a long week and neither of us were in the mood to complain.

Starting with the setting it is on lake st with a million dollar view of lake Minnetonka Yes "Princes" Purple rain lake Minnetonka it's a real Irish pub in Minnesota. They have a great menu all prepared with skill and pride we love coming here I had the fish and chips fresh perfectly prepared my wife had the mushroom Swiss burger and she loved the truffle fries we ended the meal with a key lime pie slice so sweet. The service is great with the servers knowing there fare well and the Guinness glows like spring water

Parking is at a premium in Wyzata, but it's free. I have yet to go to McCormicks and not find a spot within a block radius. But that's not why you go to McCormicks. You go for the Guinness. By far, the best I've found in the state and arguably, the best I've found anywhere. Not that I haven't had a single poured Guinness better in Boston, because I have. But it was one pour, vs every single time, getting something worthwhile. Honestly I can not speak highly enough about their Guinness. It's everything I could have ever hoped for so much more...every...single...time. Don't get me wrong, their food is good, their signature burger is wonderful, their truffle fries, worthy of brining home. But what gets me is obviously the Guinness. They are a super inviting bar/restaurant with wonderful views but you're going to be hard pressed to find an Irish pub with this much cleanliness, friendly and fast service, and warm feeling when you walk in the door. Honestly it's one of the few places I still visit where I feel like money was well spent. Love this place.

Really nothing special about this place unfortunately. Super small portions and the service is just ok! Not worth the steep prices, so probably won't be back.

The ambiance is bright, lively, and energetic without feeling overwhelming. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive. We were seated promptly, and our server was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable when offering menu recommendations. Throughout the meal, service remained efficient and attentive despite the restaurant being quite busy. We started with the lobster guacamole, which was outstanding and packed with flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the lobster roll, and it did not disappoint. The lobster was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, while the toasted roll complemented it perfectly. It's easily one of the better lobster rolls I've had and was a highlight of the meal. Other dishes at our table included wings, flatbread, and the cauliflower dip, all of which were excellent. Portions were generous across the board, especially the apple crisp, which was large enough to share and a great way to finish the meal. What truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The restaurant buzzes with activity, creating a vibrant setting where friends and families can gather, socialize, and unwind. Between the lake views, beautiful décor, and lively crowd, it has an energy that makes you want to linger and enjoy the experience. The pricing felt reasonable for the quality of the food, service, and overall setting. With delicious food, attentive service, and one of the most inviting atmospheres around, this is a place I would gladly return to and highly recommend for lunch, dinner, or special occasions.

So I found Benedict's online and thought it looked like a good choice. The restaurant itself is really bright open and airy. Lots of natural light and high wood beams. The restaurant employs an online wait list, which I love. So you join the wait list online, it tells you how long your wait is and the you can plan your arrival to minimize your wait. I was surprised that on a Saturday, we walked right in and were seated... it wasn't all that crowded (that said, there was a big No Kings rally that day so people might have been busy). At any rate, we were greeted and seated immediately at a nice table. I enjoyed the many options on the menu and also loved that you could order a single specialty pancake if you wanted one. I ordered the classic benedict. My husband got the tot hash. We ordered a strawberry nutella pancake to share. The pancake was good, though honestly the nutella strawberry topping was a bit meh. My husband said his tot hash was not what he expected (they seem to make their own tots and then deep fry them) but he did like it. My benedict was decent, but there was way too much ham and not enough hollandaise. I hate when people are stingy with the hollandaise. Coffee was good and strong. My peach mimosa was fine but honestly pretty small -- I'd be surprised if it was 8 oz. Service was OK. Nothing super major to complain about, but my mimosa wasn't delivered until I was almost through my first cup of coffee. The waitress clearly just forgot about it. She basically said so and apologized. I noted that many tables had lovely little bottles of water for when you wanted to refill your glass, but we did not receive one. It also bothered me a bit that there was a lot of "stuff" on the floor. Trash, bits of food, etc. I know that things get really busy at brunch spots on the weekends. But someone really needed to go around with a broom or a vacuum. It's just not what I expect from a dining establishment where I'm going to drop $80 on breakfast for two.

Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

It was not great. The problem? I think it was because owner/chef Rene Ruiz Olivar was acting as waiter, not chef. We gave Sr. Ruiz the freedom to choose our tapas, with one exception, the black ink pasta with scallops and shrimp (Tinta Negra) that reviewers have raved about. He said, no problema--he would serve it. Then he must have forgotten because we never got it. The first tapa served, almond-crusted manchego (Almendrado), was plated prettily and was delicious but oh-so-sweet. It was an odd choice for a starter, would have been better as the finale in case nobody ordered dessert. Soon came a lamb tapa (Cordero). The lamb chops' quality was uncertain as the meat was severely overcooked. El Bodegon's langoustines (Gambas al Ajillo) had given every bit of their sea flavor to the sauce, which was magnificent, we all agreed. But where were the dish's promised mussels, the rice? One shared plate, a beef tenderloin tapa (Carne Brava), had apparently lingered too long in the kitchen--the meat was nearly cold. I adore papas bravas (Patatas Bravas). I must have had the dish a dozen times or more during my last trip to Spain, in 2017, when I visited friends who live in Ronda. During my six-week stay, we toured Andalucia, staying at hotels in large cities and visiting small towns. I also spent time sola in Madrid and Barcelona. Unlike in Spain, El Bodegon's potatoes were diced to death. Never in Spain have I ever had patatas bravas that were not substantial in size. All in all, I found the vegetables accompanying the tapas unrecognizable except for the tiny Brussels sprouts. The rest seemed chopped up or stirred to pieces in the pan. Some of my friends had churros for their dessert. They deemed them appropriately hot and tasty. My dessert was cheesecake torte, decked out with a candle as it was my 90th birthday. The torte was a gold-star winner. It was absolutely delicious, its plating the most successful of the evening. It was so perfect it almost made up for the sub-par tapas that preceded it. One of us had a view of the kitchen from his seat at the table. He saw a man other than the chef/owner doing the cooking. Was he a trainee? Did Sr. Ruiz help with the plating? God knows he didn't have a lot patrons to contend with in his role as waiter. It was a slow weeknight, and there were never more than four tables occupied. I sincerely regret that our time at El Bodegon differs from so many reviewers. Like them, I want to see Sr. Ruiz's little restaurant succeed. He has a hard row to hoe, and I hope a disappointing dinner like ours does not befall anyone else going forward.
