We came from Las Vegas and stopped by for gas. The Barstow station McDonald is like a mini plaza. You can find Dunken Donut, Panda Express and Starbucks across the street. The items on the McDonald menu is the same. read more

I apologize for reviewing a freakin' fast food establishment on Yelp, but this NEEDS to be said. DO NOT EVER STOP HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. EVER. NOT EVEN IF THE SMELL OF FRIES IS MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE. NOT EVEN IF YOU HAVE A RARE DISEASE AND A BIG MAC IS THE ONLY CURE. We stopped here on the way home from Vegas for a quick meal. That turned into about a 45 minute "experience." Apparently, 100 other people had the same idea. We wait in crowded lines about 6-7 people long to order. The line I was in was being staffed by a girl who just didn't give a F! When the lady in line in front of me finally got to the cashier, she was told "Sorry, I'm closed." UH, really?! After we've all been waiting for 10+ minutes in line JUST to order?! The lady told the cashier as much, who replied "Well, I'm already done working my shift, so..." Well this lady was NOT having any of that, and while she's correct in being upset that no one was told the line was closed, she didn't have to freak out like that. But also, the cashier shouldn't have been so snippy. She DEFINITELY should have mentioned,oh, 10 minutes ago that the guy in front would be the last customer. This cashier who was "working over her shift" was later seen bagging fries. Oh REALLY. Then you wait in a huddle for your food. The food didn't take too long to come out, which is okay. We planned on eating here so that my car did not smell like a double cheeseburger, but right in the middle of the rush, they decide to close the ENTIRE dining room to clean it. R U F'IN SERIOUS? My goodness. We ended up having to eat in the car because there was literally nowhere else to go. God DAMN it!!! This place was so aggravating! read more

I must have stopped there on an off day because it truly sucked. We stopped for a restroom and lunch break only to find the restrooms were closed for maintenance. We then drove over to the Popeye's and used their restroom but we went back to the the drive thru to get some cheeseburgers and fries. Both food items were awful, they tasted like the cheeseburgers had been sitting out for days, the cheese wasn't even melted. The fries were cold and had no salt. I don't exactly expect a gourmet restaurant experience when I step into a McDonald's, but Damn this place is nastier than your usual McDonald's. Boo to Barstow Station McDonalds!! We just ordered some egg McMuffins without bacon. As far as I could tell, someone just pulled the bread out and slapped an egg on it--no toasting or butter or anything. We had to throw them away!!! Sweet little Mickey D's. shaped like a train. You will find this at the Barstow Bus Station. Don't just go through Drive-Thru, you got to park and go inside so cute. There are other stores inside, donuts, gourmet candies and chocolates, Panda Express, souvenirs and more all in the building shaped like a train. I got my some nice fuzzy soft slippers there. This is a great little stop on way or leaving Vegas, it's where I was coming from but get off here next time route. There is plenty to see. read more

McDonald's is part of a complex, food court and shops. The are organized and handled everything well. Food was good, fast and hot. It was at lunch time, steady but not slammed. A well run McDonalds and complex The Barstow Station, except hot inside and 90 outside. I almost went with 3, because of the air, except that is mostly, an issue with the complex. But McDonald's owner or mgr should fix. The unit is so well run, the 4 won out. read more

In fifty years I have been to my fair share of McDonalds but this location is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Ok, it's McDonalds so my expectations are never high but the food from this location was disgusting. The burgers tasted like they were made hours ago and had been sitting around at room temperature. The fries which usually are always good were cold and tasteless. On the road so didn't have time to return items so the manager could see how bad the quality was. In the future when going through Barstow will go to the Del Taco across the street which is always fresh and hot. read more

Their new slogan advertised everywhere is "We're listening"; however, clearly not! They should take those billboards down ASAP. A service reform is in order. What a horrible experience at this McDonalds we had recently. See below for the run down: -Enters drive thru and orders (3) milkshakes. -Asks drive-thru cashier if they have fresh apple pies? -She said she "did not know". -Asked her to find out (because of course no one goes above and beyond and initiates finding out w/o being prompted). -She returns and says "no", but they have (1) available that isn't fresh. oOoO Uhhh, oh yes, we'd love that please. -_- -Forget the pies. -Instead, ordered two sets of chocolate mini bundt cakes. -Finally makes it up to pay at first window. -Held out my smart phone to scan barcode for BOGO promo on the McDonalds app. Yes, the McDonalds app! -Cashier scanned several times and continued to say it wouldn't work. -We asked for a manager to handle and speed things along. -"Alexis" appeared (yikes! scary and extremely incompetent selection by McDonalds IMHO). -Both stand there while holding up long line behind us while Alexis scans the app several more times and says it is not working. -8+ minutes have passed since we pulled up to order. -Alexis (remember, she's the manager and in charge) tells me it's not working and she doesn't know why. -The promo is 1) valid 2) correct location 3) clear barcode on screen 4) beeps when scanned 5) not removing free item from order. -Alexis begins hand keying in code vs attempting to scan. -Not working. -Advises us it wont work. -I ask why she did not just promo off the item since she sees the valid BOGO item, their location, date valid, etc.? -Working on 10 minutes sitting through all this. Person behind in big truck revving up his motor and loud exhaust because he is pissed off waiting, yet we are still being held up. -Said she cannot do anything and asked if we still wanted them? -Seriously? -NOPE. Take them off. -We pay for the (3) shakes: $10.66. -Alexis said she'll meet us at next window. Oh joy. -We arrive at next window and watch them go make the shakes through the glass (not even started and all this time passed). -I ask for her name to be written on my receipt and she goes and looks for a pen. -Handed the shakes and told in the most sarcastic tone "have a great night". This was BY FAR the most disappointing experience I've ever had while visiting a fast food. Total garbage service. Seriously! Take care of the customer. After all the time waiting, the right thing to do would've been honor the promotion they clearly saw as valid on THEIR app and charge me for (1) set of the mini bundt cakes and give the second as a courtesy with a "sorry we held you up" type-gesture. After all the inconvenience they caused, to let us drive away angry was a result of very poor customer service. I wonder if this is a franchise owned or corporate store? A follow-up is in order. Condiments cost extra, salt is not readily accessible (you'll need it for their stale fries), my s'more Pie was hard as a rock and clearly under a heat lamp for FAR too long....they didn't get the note about no pickles or onions on my sandwich....basically this experience was one big EPIC FAIL. read more

McDonald's has the best service. They are very quick on taking the orders. The crew is amazing. They are friendly, and I felt welcoming when they take my order because they greeted me with a nice warm genuine smile. They are informative with all the items that the have on the menu. read more

This place sucks. Customer service is terrible. The place is dirty and understaffed. We came in on a Friday night on our way to Vegas and cane in for a Big Mac. We waited in line for 5 minutes but it took them 10 minutes to get our food. They gave us our food but no ketchup. I asked the girl for 19 packs of it but she only gave me 5 even though we purchased 5 combos. I will never stop here again. If I were the manager I would be embarrassed. Went to the McDonald's in the morning and ordered 5 sausage McGriddles. Was asked if the order was correct and said yes, but it wasn't. I thought it said 5 McGriddles but it was only 1, immediately told the lady at the second window and she was on it. Got me what I mistakenly said was correct and I was on my way. On Friday evening sometime after 11pm I decided to stop by McDonald's to grab some coffee as I pressed forward to Las Vegas. Their drive-thru has two drive thru stations. As so as it was my turn, 3 cars on the other station went ahead and I kept on saying "HELLO" to get someone on the speaker and no one answered back. I knew that my side was working because two cars before me got their order in and I had heard the patrons before me get their orders in. It would have been nice had someone just said "I'll be right with you" or something instead of being ignored! I will never stop by this establishment again. Went through the drive thru and they did not give me two burgers that one of my children ordered. I went all the way home and had to go back to ask for the burgers that I ordered and paid for. I asked if I can at least have a couple of apple pies for my time and gas for going back to get the burgers I already paid for. The other plus is that because the place is so busy, the food is pretty hot and fresh (and hasn't been sitting under heat lamps for a long time like other fast food places). This place looks cool from the outside but the inside looks like the building you have to go through when you arrive at the Bahamas, like a swap meet. Tons of vendors smashed into one teeny tiny building. The restrooms were upstairs, I felt like the floor was going to break underneath me.
