Some McDonald's workers don't know the difference between onion and lettuce. I ordered a double cheeseburger with lettuce. When I got my burger, there was no lettuce so I went back to the pick-up station and asked if they could put lettuce in it. The blond teenager behind the counter looked at my burger and pointed to the onions in my burger "you have lettuce already" I told her that onion wasn't lettuce but she insisted it was. Well....if you don't get food poisoning you're doing good! If you see tour busses in the parking lot....drive on! The ones on the gift shop side are super clean. they have a ton of souvenirs which are priced so-so. Bartsow Station is more a food court / gift shop for those who are traveling through the town of Barstow, California. Tourist trap McDonalds with fast and very friendly service. However, you have to ask for everything - ketchup, ranch, etc. I found I had to go up to the counter several times for items which should have been provided when we picked up our food. I would give zero stars but that's not possible.this location is the worst I have ever been to there is always an issue whether it's flat sodas under-filled fries missing items being parked for over 30 minutes before receiving your order this last time it was a raw beef patty and when I called to notify them I was told by Victor the manager that it was perfectly okay for them to serve and they called it gourmet. when taken the burger back along with the receipt Victor the manager refused to refund the item and said that it was company policy for absolutely no refunds.I have no idea where or how this manager got his food handler's license but it should be revoked. read more

This is THE worst McDonalds I have ever been too. They forgot an item in my first order then forgot an item in my separate order. Then they also got part of my first order wrong and I had to take it back up to the counter 3 TIMES because they kept getting it wrong. It wasn't even that busy for them to be making a mistake 3 times on the same order. And all it was is a filet of fish with no tarter sauce and extra cheese. How do you mess that up 3 times?? Not only that there wasn't anyone walking around cleaning the tables or anything so all the tables had food stuck to them and were sticky so we didnt even want to stay there to eat inside. And there was no access to the bathrooms that were right there in the McDonalds, you had to go to the other side of the building where the other store and food places were located. Plus the prices were more expensive than the regular McDonalds that we all go to on a normal bases. The prices were like 1-3 dollars more than the regular McDonalds. Smh. McDonalds is pretty consistent from restaurant to restaurant. Food was good. Had the Deluxe Burger value meal, my parents ordered a filet o fish sandwich but the clerk made one of them a meal. I am not a fan of McD's and NEVER in my life thought I'd be giving it a 5 star review, but listen up.....came in about 10pm tonight, mainly to see the famous 'Barstow Station' and take a stretch, while inside I decided to order a coffee and, yes a kids meal for my old self! The cashier (who's name I didn't get) was SO incredibly friendly and kind!!! I ordered an iced coffee with easy ice because I have severe tooth sensitivity, she put a scoop of ice in an empty cup and asked me if I wanted more or less, I told her the amount was perfect. After making my concoction, she came over and profusely began apologizing because due to the lack of ice, the cup was not completely full to the top, I told her I didn't mind and it was a VERY common thing I encounter when ordering my iced beverages (such as "grown up" drinks) and I'm so happy with what's been given to me! She then offered to add more milk and syrup to fill it up, again I told her it was fine! I was just SO touched by how much she cared about something frivolous like my coffee and it not being full!!! I really wanted to hug her! It's something SO small and insignificant, even to myself, that really touched me!!! I can't wait to call the store and corporate and sing her praises to the big shots! She is an angel!!! PS....ordered chicken nugget kids meal and the food was actually really fresh too!!!! Way to go McDonalds!!! read more

I don't know if you have heard of this place, but let me say I'm pleased with my find. This is right off the I-15 in Barstow. It's hidden by the giant signs and elaborate train car location. They have taken old train cars and made them into a large establishment. You can also get Chinese food and fresh subs here. Bathrooms were clean and I was able to refill my drink as much as I wanted. I'm told not all McDonald locations are train car themed, but I'm not disappointed. The real prize is a unique sandwich they call the Big Mac! Wow. Enjoy read more

Went in line at drive thru. In the middle of taking my order they ask me to hold on so they can jump to the other drive thru "station" after waiting in line for 10 minute they take the the car that just pulled up's order before mine. Then continue to take the next car that pulls up after him before returning to my order. Didn't stop or studder in my order was mid sentence when asked to wait. I always have problems with this drive thru I think they finally just pushed me over the edge to leave them a bad review. read more

So I went late night, ordered a Big Mac, Large Fry, 6 pc. nugget & two orders of their "CHEESELESS" mozzarella sticks! Now I know it was stupid to order in the first place but the fact that they literally had no cheese within them. They clearly were over fried. The Big Mac I also ordered was the sloppiest I've ever received, they placed the cheese under the party but on top of the lettuce, wouldn't that heat wilt it? All I can say is, this is the worst yet, food wise anyway. Hopefully I got the right location--we went to this McD's because we were driving back from Vegas in the middle of the night and it was open 24 hours and right off the freeway. After spending too many hours driving stopped by at this McDonald to get food, so frustrating when their order kiosk is not well maintained. After placing an order there wasn't a table locator anywhere to be found, I asked the cashier and she said just put #1. Upon completion of order a payment in the kiosk terminal were not working and a receipt was printed instead and instructed to bring to an open register. Clearly doesn't say cut in front of the line and make your payment. I stood inline and waited. They should clearly or have one cashier open just solely for kiosk order.
