Battlefield Boulevard, just outside the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake. Having visited their Summit Pointe location before, we were pleasantly surprised by just how spacious this café is. The Great Bridge location offers plenty of comfortable seating, making it an ideal place to meet friends, catch up on work, or simply relax with a great cup of coffee. Their retail area is also much larger, featuring an impressive selection of branded T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, coffee beans, and other merchandise for those who want to take a little piece of Pale Horse home with them. We arrived just before the Saturday morning rush, which proved to be perfect timing. No sooner had we settled into our seats with our lattes than a group of nearly thirty people walked through the door. It didn't take long for the shop to become a lively gathering place. Despite the growing crowd, the atmosphere remained welcoming and unhurried. Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to enjoy your favorite espresso drink or simply stopping by to grab a coffee on the go, Pale Horse has created an environment that encourages you to stay awhile. In addition to an excellent selection of coffee, espresso, and handcrafted lattes, they also offer a variety of fresh baked goods if you're looking for something to enjoy alongside your drink. One piece of advice: arrive early. Word has definitely gotten out about this place, and it's easy to see why. One of the first things I realized after stepping in their door is they are a very pro military operation. They have lots a sign that indicate military support like a wall hanging of Challenge coins. Also the names of the coffee. They sell a large variety of their own coffee in bags. They also sell merchandise. The roasting operation is open for the public to see. I decided on a cup of medium roasted blend. Staff was great and also useful assisting with my choice. They provide samples. They have space to enjoy your cup too. But I got mine to go. I was very happy with the taste and a good price point too. This was not my first time trying them as they offered at some area restaurants like American Brew in VB. I would love to return

I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. Let's start by saying even after this McDonald's was caught stealing everyone's credit card info in the drive thru they are still out to hurt their customers. This is by far the worst place to eat, the customer service is worse than dmv or Walmart only having self checkouts open. When a manger is cussing at a customer due to the food being wrong and refusing to correct the mistake calling the customer a liar while uttering things under his breath saying how he doesn't have time for this sh*t...the fact that this manger has had several complaints on yelp and the fact that he still holds a job is mind blowing. Ate here at 10:55pm - drive thru - was served cold McDouble, cheese unmelted, onions were the huge circle raw onions, sent it back and got offered chicken nuggets because they were out of the minced onions. Got a 6 piece chicken nuggets and they were UNDERCOOKED!! GROSS. I didn't bother asking for anything new at this point and didn't want to tell any employee about my negative experience simply because I felt they wouldn't have cared.
