Let's be honest here-McDonald's French fries are arguably the best around. I remember growing up, every Friday or so we'd swing through the drive thru to treat ourselves to a fast, yummy large order of these guys as a weekend treat. Even sweeter is when you get a shake to dip those salty little snacks into. A slice of fast food Heaven on Earth. Until one day we decided to bring Grandma along, who's lactose intolerant, but still enjoyed the mouth watering satisfaction of the "sweet and salty" snack combo. So she ordered her fries w a side of pure honey, which (I never knew) was always an option. Me n my dad were a little hesitant, but too curious to not try her interesting set up of dumping her fries out of that red case onto a plate, then drizzled her two packets of honey onto them. 3 honey drizzled fires later, both my father and I were hooked. McDonald's French fries ordered with two honey packets were now a staple on our weekend trips to the fast food chain. That is until Covid hit. We'd have to have our weekend treat delivered, which was fine, except we NEVER got our two honey packets, even when it was a choice on the menu you could actually check off with a check mark. Instead, after checking the "pure honey packet" sauce box, we'd end up with a perfect order of fries, only to be met with a plethora of honey MUSTARD sauce packets. So far from the same taste we were used to it was almost inedible. So for the last few years of my adult life, when we do want actual honey, we have to pile ourselves (including my much older grandmother) into our old Honda Civic and physically go inside, where not once, but EVERYTIME, we'd order 3 of that exact same order, we'd end up having to stand at the counter just to hand back the 6 packets of honey mustard as trade for the actual pure honey. I'm usually not much of a complainer, especially when it comes to fast food, (not like this was a Ruth Chris Steak House or anything) but these people are the people PICKETING for $20 an hour, but can't tell the difference between honey and honey flavored MUSTARD. I mean, even the pockets both sauces come in are different sizes AND color. Come on guys. I know it's fast food but it'd be a lot faster if we didn't have to wait at the counter just to do the trade off ritual every single time. Believe me, I think there is NOTHING more rude than physically checking your bag and holding up other paying customers, but if you guys would just read the damn ticket correctly the line would move along a lot quicker, plus, I wouldn't have to have the extra "pleasure" of popping ol' grandmas hip back into place before sitting here down in the car and at the head of the dinner table. Btw-if anyone on here is in need of McDonald's honey mustard sauce, shoot me a message and I'd be happy to give you handfuls. read more

The service here is awful. We order on their app. Every other McDonald's is kind and give us our order when we get to the drive thru window. They do not. They make you go to pick up area and wait for the food and don't bring it out to you. Instead we wait 15 minutes and then have to go inside and the food is on the counter waiting. No one brings it out to us. I've seen 5 complaints about this. Their excuse they didn't have burgers! What McDonalds does not have burgers ready for their drive thru customers?!?! WOW.. i would leave a zero if it was possible lol. So i was coming home from doing a lot of errands and felt like grabbing some fast food. So i decided to get some Mcdonalds. I went threw the drive threw and ordered a 20 nugget meal and two Mcdouble burgers and a reg fries and soft drink. When i got to the 1st window where you pay i asked the lady is it too late to change my meal to a large and pay more ?? I had a change of heart and wanted to get larger fries to share and also have a larger drink . They lady said thats fine so i paid for the upgrade . At the 2nd window i got my food and so i took it home looking forward in eating in my house. So when i get home and spend bag to place everything on a plate i notice they didn't give me the large fries . they used the large fire holder but looked like the just dumped the reg fries into it, here is a pic !!!! you can't even see the fries !!!! not even to the half way point common guys really was it too hard to just add the proper amount of fries in container lol warning not to come here late night ! order at your own risk lol read more

When you live around Clayton Road in Concord, there just aren't many late night places to eat except for the 24-hour fast food places. So you end up at McDonald's, Taco Bell or Jack In The Box (if its the weekend, Nation's is open to 1am). Carl Jr, KFC/A&W and Burger King are already closed. Five Guys and IHOP are closed at 10pm. Mel's closes at midnight. So what kind of sketchy restaurant proclaiming to be open 24 hours a day only accepts cash after midnight? Didn't know card readers had a bedtime? Or is the night crew too inept? And what kind of fast food restaurant says that there are no shakes after 11pm? The machine magically turns itself off, the cashier said. The food is already meh enough to suffer through and you can't even get a strawberry shake because it's 12:15 am? And what is with this particular McDonald's franchise location that doesn't participate in the national return of the McRib sandwich? What, too hard to reheat the frozen McRib meat? Don't want to carry the longer McRib bun? Too many pickles that you would have to order? Terrible! Live in the Area and over the years I have seen the quality of the food and a complete mismanagement of this restaurant. Recently purchased a few meals out of desperation and for the second time in a month the order was missing items, the food was cold and the overall quality of the food was horrible. SUMMARY: Believe the ratings, this place is the worst. Went to this McDonalds after midnight to get some late night eats from after spending time in the city for an event. Here's what happened: 1) Ordered Filet O Fish. Sorry they don't make FOF past 11PM for whatever reason 2) Ordered 3 simple things: Breakfast sandwich combo, #6 Two Cheeseburger meal combo, and a 10 pc Chicken McNugget. Not complicated right? 3) As we were sitting in line, 2 gangbanger types from the hotel adjacent to this McD's chased this other banger across the hotel parking lot and into the drive thru. One of the bangers pulled out a gun at the guy he was chasing. After seeing that, we wanted the food nooooowww. Why is it so hard? I went in today and ordered from the kiosk about 2:25 pm. It directs you to take a table number. The next thing you know, another customer hands me my meal. My family has gone to this McDonald's many times. The drive thru service is always exceptionally personable. When was the last time you were greeted at a drive thru window with, "Hi! I do not recommend doing curbside pickup at this location. You can prepare yourself to be parked there forever, then get out and go inside where you will be ignored by the person at the counter till you can finally get their attention...all the while your food is getting cold on the counter with the other curbside orders. They pack up the food and there it sits. We just paid $40 for my family to receive ice cold food. What I have to say is this is McDonalds. I think you know what your gonna get when you come here. Just your average McDonald's here. It was upgraded a couple years ago which is nice with new furniture, play room, and technology for ordering. With the upgrade you still get the same old service and quality and quantity of food. Just like with any other fast food they always bring in new items that we love and take them away.... #gilroygarlicfries.... Well when going through the drive through, going inside, ordering curbside. You get fast service in each spot. Order your food and within 5 minutes you have your order. You can take this either good or bad. Good because they are on top of it or bad because the food has been sitting there ‍. I come for the drinks. Best part of all is the super-size option. McGriddles and pancakes with syrup, means more sugar; high fructose corn syrup, so please pile on the calories! Not so fun fact: the McNuggets' quick manufacturing process consists of chicken mash, freeze dried and then shaped into nuggets; it's a composite of the "pink goo" as I'm sure you've seen. So what's the point of this review: it's the importance of employing physical education and incorporating models to target healthy living. The importance of preventing obesity is combating the fast food epidemic. Just something to think about. So why 5 stars? Those who go to McDonald's go for the convenience and taste. "Healthy" is out of the question. I once heard an idea about McDonald's: A salad is essentially a healthy option. Once you add croutons and/or dressing, it becomes unhealthy, therefore defeating the purpose of ever choosing a salad for the so-called healthy option. Contrary, their salads also contain sugar. I know it's just filler but it makes a difference and when you're in the mood for something specific and made that decision to sacrifice your health for the comfort of junk food it matters. This McDonald's location is starting to really slip in the past couple of months. Every time I've ordered now, there's always something wrong with my order, whether it's a missing item or one that's made incorrectly or simply poorly. I don't understand why they can't seem to make a well-made order at all now. The food at McDonald's does not vary for me from restaurant to restaurant; they're all pretty much the same in that sense. This location does have some of the worst customer service however, and not all the time. On the rare occasion you will be able to get someone who actually smiles, and seems to have a positive attitude. They only accept cash payments after a certain time of night. The other night we pulled in for a very early breakfast (around 4:30 am), and watched as every single employee spilled out the entrance for a smoke break. They all stopped and watched as we pulled around to the drive thru. The gentleman running the drive thru took our order as he was on his smoke break. How do I know that? Because when I went to go pay for my food I had to wait at least five minutes for him to show up to the window. I watched him come through the entrance (because you can it from the second window), and walk up to the computer, and THEN put my order in. He remembered the order which was nice. Ten minutes later, since it seemed he was the only one wanting to work, our food was handed to us.
