This particular McDonald's came in clutch since we were on a road trip to NY and we hadn't found a place to stop for food/go to the bathroom but a lot of places we looked up were either closing soon or not nearby when we were searching on the highway. This ended up being a great detour for us since it was legit 2 minutes off the exit, then once we finished, we hopped right back on the highway in no time. Back on track in a flash. The service was nice and they got our food to us quick. I can't say I love the new McFlurry cartons but hey, that orange soda was fantastic. Food fine and service fairly quick although dining room fairly empty on a Friday at noon. This location needs a little maintenance, which is always management's fault. The self order and pay kiosks were quirky and did not work. After wasting several minutes repeatedly tapping the unresponsive screen and trying to create an order and payment so the employees don't have to, we, and numerous others after us, gave up in frustration and went to the counter to order the old fashioned way. They were well stocked with disinfectant wipes near the pickup. Those are very convenient for cleaning your table before sitting down as you'll want to wipe off the crumbs and liquids covering every one. Again, not the employees' fault as I saw none available to do that. read more

This is by far the worst McDonald's and I have been in and I have been to 23 States. Today I was passed over twice while waiting in the Drive-Thru unbelievable. Unfortunately this is the second time that it's happened to me so I can't imagine that I'm the only one that has ever happened to in this particular store service is absolutely horrible. Yeah, I defintiely get why this particular McDonald's gets higher marks than the surrounding area. Staff is always at least good. You can't expect to be served by Rhodes Scholars, so just be pleased that the people working here are generally friendly and helpful. I cant remember the last time an order from here was wrong. And rarely do I have to pull up and wait after going through the drive thru window (New Britain, are you listening?). Major refinishing of the restaurant too. Replete with more pleasant seating, and those cool touch-screen ordering kiosks for those that want to order food without making eye contact with other humans... Congrats McD's, you got an above average review. Imagine that. read more

They kept calling 366 but that was not our number. We got it sorted but it was a longggg wait especially when you have a starving 7 year old. I wanted to get the green witch bucket Happy Meal for my grandchild. I called the McDonald's nearer to me and they said they only had the white ghost bucket. I then called the McDonald's on Berlin road and asked if they had the green witch bucket and they said yes. I drove there, ordered a Happy Meal with the green witch bucket and the guy at the drive-thru taking my order said "you got it". He asked if I wanted apple slices or extra fries and I chose extra fries. When I got to the window to pick up my order they told me to pull to the side because they were waiting on the fries. The girl brought out my order in a white ghost bucket. I told her I ordered the green witch bucket and she told me she did not know, she was told to bring the white ghost bucket out. I went inside and was told by the manager that all they have are the white ghost buckets. When I told her I called and was told they had the green witch buckets she insinuated I called the wrong store. When I opened the Happy Meal there were no extra fries and they were cold. Bottom line the crew of people who work there have no idea what is going on and seem to be dumber than dirt. Will not go back and advise people to use a different McDonald's. read more

The decor here a bit retro with round, no-back cushion seats at various tables in addition to the usual types of seating. Restrooms are large, modern and quite clean. Stopped by here for a little breakfast and coffee before heading to MA. I was pleasantly surprised by their modern, hip decor and their sleek, CLEAN bathroom! I just want to highlight the cashier (young male with hair up to his shoulders) who rang us up today 2/27/16 at 9:30AM. I couldn't find his name on the receipt. He was just a delight. Welcomed us with a smile and presented himself with such good manners (please give him a raise!!!) It's hard to find any fast food joints in NYC with both clean atmosphere and good service! Needed a place for breakfast while driving from Windsor to West Haven. This was the 4th place I tried, (McDonald's on Bloomfield Ave in Windsor - can we say "SLOW"?, Dunkin' Donuts and McDonald's on Route 99 in Rocky Hill - almost across from each other - both good, but too far off 91). This is easy off and on the exit. Drive thru is SUPER efficient, and servers are friendly. Coffee is great, food is good, and I am on and off of 91, with food, in 5 minutes.... can't ask for more - well I could, but that would be greedy :) read more

This is the best McDonald's I have been to. Everyone that I have interacted with has been very kind, no matter what time of day I have gone. There are times when the drive thru moves so quickly I have my food within a minute. I tell everybody about this McDonald's. This is where I stop every morning on my way to work. I order a large coffee and a sausage burrito. $2! Then I jump back on the highway. The people there are always friendly and if I see more than four cars in the drive thru, I will go inside and they will already know what I want and how I like my coffee. My only pet peeve about the place is the annoying recording going through the drive thru trying to sell me something before I even order. I go through lots of McDonalds drive thrus and have yet to encounter these little recordings. On my way from Meriden to Hartford, I pass by at least ten McDonalds's. I've tried them all, but this is the one I keep coming back to. I'm not the friendliest character in the morning before I've had my coffee, so sometimes I do feel bad for the McDonalds staff if they have to deal with me the customer not getting my money out before I get to the window. read more
