The food at this McDonald's is always hot and correct. The service is great from the crewmembers to the managers. And I know everybody complains about how dirty the lobby is sometimes when it's late at night, but I give them a pass because of the high school across the street. Great spot overall! read more

I really don't like reviewing fast food chains, with the exception of Chick Fil A, but especially a McDonald's because it's bottom of the barrel and you already know that going in. I rarely eat at McD's, maybe once a year if that. We were on our way home from my son's practice one evening and he asked to stop at McD's. I was hesitant, but he was very hungry and he wanted to pay for his own meal (which is very rare), so I agreed. There was a line at the drive-thru, but it wasn't long. We were able to place an order fairly quickly. There were two cars ahead of me. We must have waited at least 15 minutes for the first car's order, which didn't look like much from my view. The second car only ordered a drink, and I felt bad for them for waiting that long for one drink. I don't expect great customer service from McD's. I don't expect much from the staff at all. However, the staff members weren't friendly. Not rude, but cold. No greeting from either the payment window or the pick-up window, even after I initiated. I thanked each of them before pulling away and got nothing. Not even a smile. Just blank stares. Not a single word other than "$5.97" (our total) from the first member. They were all young, and just seemed unmotivated and unhappy. I can only blame management for not encouraging the staff to display the most basic of skills. After seeing all the food photos on here, I was worried there would be something wrong with my son's order. Fortunately, it came out fine. I didn't get to inspect his burger because he devoured it within minutes, but he didn't mention anything. His bacon cheese fries turned out good. I won't be back for another year or so, probably. Since this McDonalds opened YEARS ago, the service has been spotty to say the least. I can say that over the past year, year and a half they have managed to get the orders correct in the drive thru which is HUGE based on the first three years they were open. It was like, place your order and if you don't check it before driving off it was like getting a grab bag from Sanrio (IYKYK). Tonight's debacle was, and I know this is petty- like who cares- do I need this? No. Did I want this, yes- a flipping Shamrock Shake. The release date was Feb 15,2021. Today is March 9, 2021. We asked the girl (who kept yelling at another kid the whole time saying "stop it dude..." ) when they would get the Shamrock Shake. She said, oh, like sometime mid Spring. Ummmm, sweetie, the Shamrock Shake is for St. Patrick's... which is next week. Either she was clueless and doesn't know that or she has been working there for 5 minutes and doesn't know anything. This location really deserves a better rating. I'm hoping I can help. I have been here many times. I place mobile orders. I just drive up. I change what I am ordering every time. They have always gotten it right. A very convenient location at the corner of Post Road and Drew Campground. It gets overwhelmed when school lets out so be aware of that. This McDonald's is awful! Every time I get a premium chicken sandwich they put the cheap chicken patty on it. This time it was even worse. As you can see from the pictures small tomato pieces that had something funky on one of them and a little piece of wilted lettuce! Why would you serve something like this to a customer! There were 2 other customers in the store. After waiting for someone to acknowledge me I finally asked if someone could take my order. An employee told me that I had to wait because they were busy. I placed my order today using the mobile app. I went to the McDonald's on Post Road in Cumming GA. When I got there they did not have my order. I showed them the charge on my Apple Card using Apple Wallet app. I showed them teh McDonald's order confirmation email that I received. They did not care. They aid they had nothing to do with the McDonald's app except receiving orders through it. I had to call McDonald's customer service. All this for a $5.95 order. I left and called customer service. We spoke to the manager and suggested she clean, but instead she complained there are too many kids from the nearby high school. I bet they make money on them! It bothers me significantly to see the negative reviews regarding this establishment. I don't know what people expect. It's a fast food restaurant for God's sake. It isn't Ruth's Chris steak house or a fine dining establishment. If you want good food (I didn't say great) McDonalds is a good, fast location for our fast paced lifestyles. I patronize them because their food is consistent across the country and I trust that consistency. Judging by the lines, it certainly indicates a lot of patrons depend on a quick meal with fairly good speed and quality. Can they improve? Absolutely, they can and should. Just remember where you are and consider your choice. If they are so bad, why are you there. Good food at a fair price. No! I'm not a McDonalds employee.
