This is the best McDonald's I ever get to eat! I always get the double quarter pounder with cheese. The meat quality is over the top outstanding! My other two guests enjoyed the new wraps, one had the ranch wrap, the other had the spicy wrap. My elder guest particularly enjoyed the music choice in this particular McDonald's, as it was old-school easy listening music from years back. I recently stopped here traveling through town with my family. The staff was friendly. The bathrooms were dirty with dirt hanging out of the vents. The tables in the restaurants were not properly clean. It wasn't like the restaurant was jammed at the time and the staff did not have time to clean. The staff was just standing around. The food was ok. Overall experience is if you're just going to grab something quick then fine but I would not make it one of my go-to places. read more

On a Sunday morning, I placed a pick up order at around 10:20 A.M for a breakfast order of a bunch of people. Whenever I got there, It was 11:02. They told me they stopped serving breakfast at 10:59, and couldn't give me my order because they "were out of everything.." completely ridiculous, I placed an order damn near an hour before and I can't pick it up. The person at the drive-thru intercom/register was eating and chewing while trying to interact with me (with food on his face, ugh). At the 2nd window, I was handed my drink and asked to pull away from the window to wait, even though I was the only one in the drive-thru (this so they won't appear to have slow service, once you pull away from the window, your transaction is closed out). That's when I noticed some of the servers had very long fake fingernails, no gloves, and no hair nets/coverings. I politely asked for a refund and the manager suddenly appeared with my order. I again asked for a refund and she gave me my money back. When she asked why, I told her that I had lost my appetite. I don't expect much from McD's to begin with, I mean, it's not very good and not very good for me. I do however expect sanitary conditions and somewhat professional service. A restaurant and its employees are only as good as its management, and this place is obviously mismanaged. read more

first off, I would give this establishment no stars if I could. I used to eat here all the time but the current employees are running it into the ground. I have been flipped off by a girl, Nicole I think her name is, simply for pulling into the parking lot. There are also a couple of boys who work here that I've heard got fired from another fast food restaurant for threatening bodily harm on their manager. YIke's. And now, on to the food. Mcdonalds is one of my favorite fast food chains. However, i refuse to eat at the Dahlonega location anymore. 1) because of the employee. 2) the food is some of the worst I have ever gotten from a drive thru. Cold burgers LOADED with mustard, hard nuggets that feel and taste like they have been sitting for hours, cold fries that taste like they never change the oil in their fryer (I have worked fast food) not to mention the amount of times I have asked for a sweet tea, one of the most popular drinks they have, only to receive unsweet. I have even brought it to their attention a couple of times, they will make me a new one, and it still ends up being unsweet. And I'm not talking about badly made sweet tea, you can tell this does not have a drop of sugar in it. The biggest issue here is that none of these people care. I get that it's fast food, but someone is paying money for this food, it's feeding someone's kids, it could even be what people are looking forward to at the end of the day, a treat, but I can assure you they are not going to get the quality from the crew, or the food that they deserve. read more

Horrible drive thru service. Waited in drive thru this morning for a few minutes before the truck in front of me sped off, leaving 1 car ahead of me. Another 5 minutes waiting, I rolled down my window so I could what the people were saying ahead of me. They asked if it would be better to come inside because they had been waiting so long and the girl said they were not open. This is a time that they are opened in the morning, so I was confused. I decided to leave along with three other cars that were behind me. When I drove around there was one truck just sitting in the drive thru?? On another occasion, I ordered a coffee. When the boy handed it to me, the lid was not on, and the coffee spilled all over my arm. he apologized and I asked if I could have napkins to get the burning coffee off of my arm. Instead of giving me some, he decided to make sure the lid was on the coffee first. I had to ask again and he said he wanted to put the lid on. I had to remind him that my arm was burning and the lid could wait. His fingernails were filthy. Maybe they should buy a nail brush to have at their sinks so employees can scrub their nails. When you go in the morning, the employees are wearing dirty and wrinkled uniforms and look unkept and why are they always out of Frappes? read more

I don't normally make a habit of driving to Dahlonega or eating at McDonald's, but I found myself out here and really hungry. At 1st I was a little upset because they had closed off the drive-thru but then I realized they closed it because they were pressure washing it. I was pretty impressed by that. So I went inside and ordered 6 piece chicken nuggets and when I tell you they were the freshest, crispiest, best tasting nuggets I ever had... please believe me! The sweet tea was awesome too! Oh and the people there were so nice. Even though their drive-thru was shut down and people were forced to come inside to place their orders, they got everyone in and out in a hurry. Their restaurant was pretty clean...and "new-looking", I might add. Only thing is they were out of sweet tea and straws when I came in, but they quickly rectified that issue. The detractors of this business likely fall into one or several of those categories, because my 10 minutes in the drive-thru were woefully extended by customers "Duh duh duh"ing at the speaker while trying to decide among the apparent plethora of breakfast foods, goofing off on trivial phone calls (I could hear the moron behind us talking loudly about fishing nonsense), or just being...generally idiotic. There's nothing wrong with this McDonald's. It is typically efficient and perfectly mediocre, exactly as a McDonald's should be. People expecting more should examine their lives closely and determine what's important to them, because bottles of Veuve Clicquot aren't going to tumble magically into your Egg McMuffin bag for free. It can be either good or really, REALLY bad. The biggest gripe around town is the frequent unavailability of ice cream due to the machine rather constantly being torn. Drive through times can struggle greatly at times and the use of two drive through lanes here is practically useless in that they don't seem to be evenly waited on. The restaurant is good at times if you go in but at times it can be rather nasty and unappealing. Pick your day and maybe you'll get lucky. read more

OUCH! Even for McDonald's which has no clue what customer service means this location is really really bad. Stopped on the way out of town one morning for a "quick" breakfast and there was nobody in line. Although that should have served as our first clue it made us think we would get our order fast and be back on the road for our 7 hour trip to Florida but........ No such luck. Nobody really seemed to have any idea or clue what to do, what their job was or how to do their job. once we finally ordered we waited forever. Finally, after over 20 minutes we left with no food and unable to get any refund and went down the street and picked up food and coffee at the RaceTrac just down the street and were on our way in quick order. I sincerely doubt anyone at McDonald's realized we left or that we left with a pending order that was paid in full. Never Again, Buyer Beware, you get the point, if your schedule is open then you may want to stop but otherwise, we would say keep on going and pass this place by. I have also done many online orders and two times they completely forgot about me and I had to go in to tell them. This store needs help. Bad. I've given this location a number of chances even had talks with their management to give them encouraging pointers. Not even coming down hard on them about it the way they deserve and nothing has changed. Every employee there is extremely rude and acts as if they are doing people a favor by doing the job they are paid to do. I went through the drive through today during lunch hour to grab my son a McGriddle, and when the lady (pretty sure she was a manager) brought it out to me, the order was incorrect. That rarely happens to me at this McD's - I just want to put that out there. So the order's wrong, no biggie, people are human. So she takes it back in to correct it, and it took a little time because breakfast items are made to order. That's cool, I've got a little time. But let me tell you something, this manager was SO apologetic and absolutely bent over backwards to make it up to me. I was really impressed! The service at this location is really above and beyond. This is, by far, the slowest fast food restaurant I have ever been to. I have never waited less than 15 minutes in the drive-they, even when I am the only person in the line. In the restaurant right now. Super rude employees -- management and staff. Didn't receive receipts and had them grudgingly shoved at us upon request of them. Offered smiles to employees and they were not returned, just given mean stares -- the same response when told "thank you." Iced tea was out so fellow diner asked for some. Worker poured some into her cup from a bucket. Saw workers touching the inside of the mop bucket and then putting the tea dispenser back together. Workers loudly told each other to "shut up" and I heard one of them ask another employee "are you f--ing blind." Manager is rude and touched cash then fries. Bathroom was "just cleaned" but has overflowing feminine hygiene receptacles. Employees slamming chairs around while swearing under their breath. I've been to upwards of 10 McDonalds locations across the nation recently during a road trip. Sad that my local McDs is so crappy. read more

I went to this location on Sunday at nOt a busy time. Once I got there the line for drive thru was backed up around the store but I was ok with waiting. I ordereD and waited about 15 minutes and got to the window once I was there I got my food but they had people in ever pull up parking spot and two cars in front of me pulled up so 5 cars in total. Well, I can't mOve from the spot I am at because I am blocked in. There is some loud rude pregnant woman running aarouns tryiNg to aSk people if this is there bag or not not knowing who's food is what. After about 10 minutes of being stuck behind the car that was pulled up they finally got there food and I got to pull away. There was still about 3 cars waiting and the staff seemed to careless and take their time. It was odd and very unorganized and in unprofessional I'm not sure who owns this location but I would be extremely embarrassed. Also, after I once got home my order was completely wrong and I'm pretty sure I got someone else's meal. The only thing correct was my kids happy meals so I guess one star is suiting as at least my kids got to eat. read more
