What can I say? Keep the coffee coming really nice people ... food is pretty good .. if you like people who like to talk and this is the place for you these people are friendly. Outstanding breakfast this morning. My wife said the pecan waffle was perfect, they burnt the country ham to perfection and the Decaf coffee was piping hot. It was a perfect breakfast. Our server was Angela and she was Johnny in the spot with everything. The eggs were perfect for over easy. As a matter of fact the food arrived before my wife's decaf coffee. My husband whet to pick up our food and this little guy was in it when he got home. I took three bites and he was under the hash browns. Apparently we eat them all the time... but I really don't want them with the hash browns. I didn't have the container anywhere so I know It came from your store. There are 2 Waffle Houses in Dawsonville, and this one is our fave. If you frequent Waffle Houses you know that the food is basically identical in them all, but the service is what separates them. Service is ALWAYS top notch at this location, and it seems that the staff turnover is rare. I rarely eat at Waffle Houses while traveling, but I find that this location always hits the spot here in my hometown. #smotheredandcovered. read more

My Wife and I went to eat here on 6-8-2020 after getting my car fixed down the road at Big T Tire. We came in around 3:15 or 3:20 and one of the waiters was trying to be funny saying there's a 45 min wait when clearly there was no other customers inside and he was just joking. He said we can sit anywhere we want except for the one we went to then he began joking again. I ordered a sweet tea and my wife ordered a half sweet & half unsweet tea. When the waiter brought our drinks to us he gave her mine and gave me hers. We ordered our food I had a 2 cheeseburger plate with hash browns and she had a philly cheese steak hash brown bowl. She ordered onions and peppers with mushrooms but she got it without mushrooms and came with spicy jalapeños peppers which were to hot for her to eat. And the both waiters make a Joke about a guy getting his left arm and left leg blown off in general. After we ate I took the check to pay for our meal and after paying we leave out and the waiter who has LONG BLONDE HAIR Wears Glasses and wore a blue bandana on to cove this mouth my wife was looking at him and the other waiter and my wife noticed the BLONDE hair guy Flipped us off when driving out the parking lot. We didn't do nothing wrong to deserve that. I was about to go back and Raise Hell at him for that but I went to the other Waffle House on GA 400 and gave them our complaint and believe us we will be calling Corporate and I hope that PUNK loses his job for that! This Waffle House was a bit unusual. Very inefficient. Waited 10 minutes, 1st in line when 3 tables were empty. Waitress was confused, took my wife's order and walked off. Had to get her attention to take mine and son's. Standard Waffle House fare, standard quality. read more

This was a very good Waffle House as far as cleanliness and food quality goes. Luckily for my wife and I we had an excellent server who from our perspective seemed to be the only one working there. There were two other people working there but they were eating when we walked in and disappeared to the back as soon as they were done leaving Angela to wait on two additional tables plus our and cook the food for all three tables on top of running the register for the couple that had been in a different section than hers. Angels was an excellent server and I want her to get the appreciation from her leadership that she deserves. Great job Angela read more

It is bizarre that I have to wait for food at Taco Bell and Popeyes nowadays, but I can order a gigantic breakfast at Waffle House and have the food in front of me in two minutes. The menu is the same as at every WH, but it is generally well cooked at this one--the one across from McDonalds--and the service is good. When looking for an inexpensive place to get it fast and get it right, this WH is great. read more

Waiter was mr cool. My food was burnt, well done eggs, missing sausage and cheese. Manager said she doesn't know how eggs are supposed to look. Was given a 10% discount when when 50% of the food wasn't edible. Wasn't the servers fault but the manager just made it that we will never eat there again. read more

FIRST CHOICE FROM NOW ON! After having a very poor excuse of a breakfast at the barbeque restaurant next door, we decided to try old faithful because I needed something more substantial on my stomach. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and could tell that this place was full of local residents. As we slid into our seats, it felt as if we were home. Suddenly, my husband decided that he too wanted something more to eat so he ordered an omelet and hashbrowns while I ordered a waffle. We shared the super-fluffy omelet which was delicious and I definitely enjoyed my waffle which is always prepared to perfection. Our waitress was very cheerful and engaging and we enjoyed not only our breakfast but the camaraderie that seemed to exist throughout the restaurant. Service was top notch and our food was served on glass plates with flatware which was not the case in that other restaurant! The water filter was certainly appreciated today as the water was very clean and refreshing. This will definitely be our new breakfast stop when we are in the Dawsonville area. You would think, making $2.14/hour(servers) and your tips that you would care about your customers more. Shawn was the RUDEST server I've ever incountered.
