You can find this Pizza Hut Classic at 1352 South Chestatee Dahlonega, GA 30533. This is near downtown Dahlonega along a ridgeline road and shares a parking lot with what looks to have once been a Western Sizzler that's now some type of church. The small parking lot I think is plenty big, as this is a smaller Pizza Hut location. I do love these retro Pizza Hut Classic stores - as with the other I've visited near Lake Hartwell, this is an original building with the pagoda-like roof and trapezoidal windows. This one has the original booths, original salad bar and the nook near the payphone where a stand-up video game would stand (sadly missing) - even the bathrooms (or at least the Men's) have original tile. I grew up eating Pizza Hut as a kid - it was a special place back then, a destination for what we thought of as upscale dining. Of course over the years it lost much of it's charm and became buried in the myriad available dining experiences at other restaurants. I didn't know that I missed this chain until it almost disappeared, turning in to another Domino's, Papa John's or Little Caesar's. So happy that these Classic locations have been making a comeback. As with my other-location visit, I opted for a 14" pan pizza - just as delicious as I remembered. Service was really exceptional at this location with servers who seemed to like being there, they even had the classic red cups. Kudos - I'm stopping again the next time I'm in the area. read more

Seriously does it get better than a Pizza Hut Classic? My husband and I were headed to a meeting and were running late. I called Pizza Hut from 400 and ordered. We walked in the door as our Pan Pizza was coming out of the oven. At first taste we realized this was the Pizza Hut we grew up on, not the one they are serving at other locations. They even have the salad bar. Oh my DELICIOUS! A little add on to the sign out front we missed. Pizza Hut CLASSIC. I found a Pizza Hut with a salad bar! It was worth the trip for the nostalgia. Original stain glass lamps and those red plastic cups. I ordered an original pan pizza which at first bite brought me back to my childhood. I also got a salad from the salad bar which I could have passed on and left that memory the way it was. Our experience here was great! The inside of this classic location took me back to all my childhood memories of enjoying Pizza Hut in the 90s/early 00s. The traditional decor included checkered tablecloths, red plastic cups, Pizza Hut lamps over tables, Pizza Hut posters including a Book It one, and a salad bar. I think the only things missing were the lunch buffet and the arcade games. Table and chairs were clean. Our waitress was fantastic too, and checked on us frequently. Food came out perfectly too! I was so excited to visit one of the few remaining sit down Pizza Huts in the country! We arrived on a Sunday right when they opened and it was pretty busy. You can see why it's still open and busy - clean restaurant and friendly service and easy to get to location. Food was also just the way I remembered it. Prices are definitely steeper than I remember and didn't have dinner specials so be prepared to pay a bit more. Overall , glad I got to experience it and will def try it again when I'm in the area! read more

This nostalgic Pizza Hut Classic was totally 80s-90s awesomeness and brought back so many fun memories!! The atmosphere is just as you remember from your neighborhood Pizza Hut from 1988. So don't go looking for some type of perfect amusement ride with gourmet Italian pie... it's THAT neighborhood Pizza Hut YOU remember: good pizza, slightly slow service, and may be dirty depending on the snotty nose teenager that probably didn't show up for his shift. Jokes aside the restaurant was very clean and the service was super friendly and helpful - but a tad slow. It seemed to be an issue with only one server working (see snotty nose note above). It didn't affect our experience... the guy was doing his best to respectfully attend to the tables. The menu isn't exactly like the 90s menu, and the pizza isn't 100% exact either... but it's close enough to be good PIZZA HUT pizza - so set your expectations accordingly. The menu also includes appetizers, some pasta choices, and THAT SALAD BAR! Sadly the salad bar wasn't available at the time we went - but was told it would be back in action later in the week. Overall I had a great time and enjoyed my experience. If you have good memories of eating at a Pizza Hut during the 80s-90s you will love it. If you were born after 1995... If you order on the Saturday night like I just did online - there will be total chaos because when I arrived to the store, everyone is calling in orders, online orders and walk in orders but this store is short one oven and delivery drivers etc. There was over a hour wait for one pizza. People were complaining. Then one of the workers called the supervisor because they could not handle all the orders and the supervisor said lock the doors, stop the over the phone orders and only fill the orders that are already there. Wow!!! This should never happen at a restaurant. Either hire the proper amount of people and fix the second oven or close this store altogether. Let a better management team take over this store. This is one of the last remaining classic Pizza Huts. Hadn't been to a PH in 8-9 years. The land is up for sale so it is probably a matter of time now before it closes so we wanted to take a trip down memory lane. This was super yummy! I tell my husband that Pizza Hut just isn't as good as it used to be and now I think that may be because we aren't getting it straight out of the oven. We got the cheese garlic bread and a limited time Chicago deep dish pizza. That cheese bread was just like it used to be back in the 80's, so fluffy and hot! With the craziness now where people don't want to work, they make more money just staying home and business trying to stay afloat, sometimes you find those that step up to the bat. This was our experience last night.  We took our son and his family out for dinner at Pizza Hut last night. One server for the entire dining room. I think there were only 3 employees there, in total.  I knew we were in trouble. But we were seated, and the waiter came and took our drink and appetizer order, then our very complicated dinner order. I mean a mix mash dinner order. Everybody wanted something different, and we're talking 9 people. The food came out a little slow, but we fully expected that with one person back there trying to keep up. This guy never missed a beat. Very accommodating, friendly, and on the BALL TOTALLY. Five thumbs up!!!! The food was great, and the service was outstanding. We had him take our group picture because it was our son's birthday. He even took one of himself for the team! I love this guy!!! The only negative was they started cleaning the bathrooms before the dining room was empty, and then as people were leaving, they refused to allow us to use it as we had a 45 min. ride home. We had 5 kids with us!!! That IS NOT good business practices and is actually against restaurant protocol. We understand you want to go home, but we would have liked to have been comfortable doing so, especially with no other businesses open anywhere. Have a heart. They had the door to the bathroom open, and the bleach was so strong your eyes burned while we were trying to eat, especially the small children we had with us. This would have been a 5 star review had we not been deprived of the bathroom.  Sorry we didn't catch the server's name, but thanks to him, we did get an epic picture. This is a pizza hit classic so lower your standards and availability for this will be just the basics here. We came in since my hubby wanted a pan pizza and it's always better there so we choose to dine in. They had a sign up that said please wait to be seated and we did, and waited and waited for close to 10 mins while the 2 wait staff walked around the dining area. Another table of 2 came in and we're waiting behind us and we were finally greeted as we were discussing plan B for dinner. This location has a salad bar but it was not fully stocked so my idea of salad and pizza went out the door. We got a pepperoni lovers pan pizza and it be honest it looked like a normal pizza. I didn't see extra cheese or extra pepperoni. The best part of the pan pizza is the crunchy-ness of it. Well this one tasted like it needed more time in the oven and only the very end of the crust was crunchy. The place is small and it seems popular with parents and kids so it was quite loud inside and had to take to texting my husband to have a conversation since he is also slightly deaf. The elderly servers were a frustrating sight as they seriously were struggling and I'm sure it's not impossible to find decent waitstaff at a college town. We used to love ordering pizza from this Pizza Hut. The last few times the food isn't cooked correctly. The dough isn't proofed properly, there's hardly any cheese, and the pizzas aren't even cut. If you call they don't even answer the phone. I wanted to see if they could remake my food or something. I guess we're just stuck paying a lot of money for food we could have just made ourselves. The staff seemed to be nice, but undertrained. They at least did their best and were very kind. I think it's really a corporate problem. They want to skimp out as much as they can and it makes it more difficult if not impossible for the underpaid employees. They at least keep the restaurant visibly clean and friendly. read more

Pretty good service in the two times I've been here once I dined in and the other I placed an online order. The dine in service was slow, but only one girl was working with at least 5 or 6 tables so I can't complain too much.
