The senior coffee was good. ($1+ 8¢). They still have the all time classic Big Mac. Yummy! Salads, etc. The servers were pleasant and multilingual which always makes a nice atmosphere. The coffee had no wait time (I walked in.) Regardless of whether or not the other patrons were having a bad day, they were able to look up and smile. Signs of a good atmosphere. Not one to take the time out of my day to write a review for fast food but I just have to give some love to our McDonalds on 4th street in Eureka. Whenever I come through there the staff are absolutely amazing people. Big smiles, friendly, fast and accurate. My husband and I brought a Chicken Big Mac home to eat. What a mess! Everyone knows that 2 breaded and fried chicken patties are going to weigh more than 2 small beef patties. I knew it was going to fall apart the minute I saw it on TV. I was kind of hoping the bun would be adapted to be in a proper ratio to the meat. Quick and the same as every other McDonalds out there, but I will add that I no longer go inside this location. They have moved to self service kiosks and at his location they opt out of helping at the front counter. I have stood here waiting to be helped because I don't like the kiosks but the staff will intentionally keep their backs turned to the counter. When they bring food out, they will drop it off and back away as quickly as humanly possible. I tried to make my life easier by using the drive through which had been working great for a while, but they now insist on only being able to use the app for my desired combos. To make a long story short, you have to serve yourself through either app or kiosk in order to get service here. read more

We stopped in for quick food as we were traveling home from memorial weekend. Pulled through drive thru and automated drive thru said someone would be with us shortly. One car at window so we didn't think long wait. (5-10 mins)As time passes cars lined up behind us finally took our order pulled up to window waited for cashier to come about 5 minutes more. We paid and she says please pull around our food is cooking. We thought great fresh food. We waited out front 15 mins girl came out with multiple orders, didn't know which one was ours. Finally pull out on the one way street and reached into bag fries cold burgers cold and chicken nuggets cold. Was horrible. Tried to figure out how to get back but gave up. $37 is to much but if we pay these prices McDonalds needs to deliver. We threw the food away. So disappointing. It's mcdonald's... So I hold them to a very low standard.... I still cannot believe how disgusting the food was. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was so dried out I could barely bite into it. The lettuce and condiments tasted rancid. When I went back through the line, the employee was very rude, despite me apologizing and trying to express that the sandwich they gave me was inedible. I went to this McDonald's because I have a family member in the hospital in Eureka and I wanted junk food/needed to eat. Don't do it. I just drove my 9 month pregnant self to McDonalds because I was craving the spicy chicken nuggets and husband wanted some regular ones. Apparently they didn't have enough to make a 10 piece of the spicy nuggets and instead of informing me they just threw some old regular chicken nuggets with the old spicy chicken nuggets in to "even it out". Wish I had realized before I made it home because when you spend $20 at a fast food place you expect to get what you order without being swindled. The other chicken nuggets I got (regular) were just old and rock hard. If they had warned me I wouldn't have gotten anything or waited to have fresh stuff made. Instead I had to throw all the food I got away at home it was so old and hard. They were like hockey pucks, and I wish I were exaggerating, but I'm not. Raccoons wouldn't even want them. I had low standards because it's midnight at a McDonald's, but this disappointed even me. The only thing they didn't mess up was my husbands drink. I spent nearly $20 and didn't even get to eat at all after dragging my heavily pregnant self to get some food. Boo. read more

One freaking star, nothing more. 2nd time I have asked for my burger plain and they cannot follow simple directions. I ask for ONLY pickles, and I get a loaded burger with NO pickles. I ask for 2 orders of spicy nuggets, and I get two orders of plain. These same people argue for more money than minimum wage, but this reason, right here, is why they dont deserve more than 15 an hour. I should have expected it, being everyone who fails in life falls back on McDonalds for employment, but man. I have had better service before from other stores. This place SUCKS. Eureka businesses have to bear the brunt of the city's ongoing problems with quality of life issues, and this particular McDonald's is no exception. Inside and outside, day and night, an assortment of beggars, drug addicts and homeless people are all over this place. Because of that, strict rules are in place regarding bathroom usage, the time you can spend inside the restaurant, backpacks, etc. Because of what I can assume are past problems with loitering, drink machines are often switched off at random times. I have sympathy for the staff and my food orders have never had problems, so I can't be too harsh. read more

Messed up my order twice and I didn't want to come back for a third time or they would see the hangry side of me. I was staying at the econo lodge next door and thought it would be nice to walk over to McDonald's to get food. Boy, was I wrong. There are homeless people and druggies (like LSD freaking out not your average teenage stoner) all over the parking lot, drive through and flooding into the next parking lot over. I guess you can't blame McDonald's because the restaurant is nice and clean inside and they do charge the homeless to stay inside now. (cup of water is 0.25). Now to my order. I wanted a coffee with the cream and sugar on the side, 2 scrambled eggs and an oatmeal. The oatmeal was very soggy, and the eggs weren't fully cooked. They added the sugar and creamer to the coffee which made it to sweet and my dad ended up throwing it away because he likes to make the perfect mixture ratio himself. Came back in to get my order fixed and got new eggs and oatmeal. Upon coming back to my hotel room the eggs tasted funny and oatmeal still soggy. I was hoping the instant oatmeal they serve would thicken after 5-10 minutes but nothing. Note: I would not let your child or even go by yourself to walk to mcdonalds. The homeless will run up to you pretty fast and start asking for money. Try to give them food and they will refuse, they want money for alcohol and cigarettes which I'm not helping supply. Newly remodeled which is nice. But there was a bum sleeping at a table and multiple bums hanging out outside. Worst thing is bathroom does not have paper towels. This is an eating establishment, if a person chooses to air dry their hands that's fine. But if someone washes their hands to go eat, there should be paper towels to open the door, since there is not a push door you can open with your foot or shoulder. I've been to this place which is near me several times since we moved to Eureka. It's a nightmare. The facility is dirty with sticky floors and full trashcans. The restrooms are shut. The fries are cold. Since the fries are why I go to McDonalds, this place is a total failure. The bums outside are more polite than the manager who appears to do nothing but yell out ignored orders to his minions. The menu is not available in a form that one can scan but is some sort of display that changes so fast that you can't get a chance to read what you want, Go to the place across the street if you want some degree of cleanliness and a well managed staff of folks who know what they're doing. I went through the drive through asked for no cheese on a burger. I got the burger with cheese on it, I've work in fast food so I know that kinda thing happens all the time and it's usually i quick fix . But when I came inside of the store to return the burger the cashier told me they could remake it but then I was waiting 15 minutes next to the register. While waiting I could literally hear two workers talking about how they didn't hear me say no cheese, I do tend to mumble so I understand that but, they talked for at least 3 minutes back and forth about how dumb I was for not making sure I asked for the burger with no cheese. But after fifteen minutes the manager asked about the my remake, and they had no idea what he was talking about so they put in my order as a rush I'm assuming because when I got the remake burger it had two pieces of cheese on it and the tomatoes where not even on that burger but on the sides of the box burgers come in. So I came in a second time for a burger and the manager watched this whole thing and didn't say a word to me, I returned the remake burger, no one asked me if I wanted a refund or a remake so I got some nuggets cause how can you mess that up, and they didn't so I recommend the chicken nuggets;) read more

Last night we were treated like a king and queen at this McDonalds. Starving after a gig we headed there for a midnight snack, and though the line was long the guy who took our order was super friendly. Then when we got to the window the next guy asked if we'd like a free ice cream while we waited, cuz it might be a while. So awesome! Fast food workers, I'm sure, do not always find it easy to wear a smile, but these two gentlemen made our night. :) Two thumbs way up, guys! All the restaurant staff has been nice to me. I'm really friendly to the homeless people and get that red head skateboard dude food every time I see him. The food has been consistently good. If your not from here it could be a little scary with all the drugs and crazy people but they are people too and most of them are not looking to cause any trouble they just want some food.
