This place is becoming a dump. The employees periodically remove the tents(numbers) from the self serve kiosks when they get too lazy to bring the orders to the customers. Then today they left the numbers there but then refused to bring my order. I had to go up to the counter and then finally they came across with my order. On top of that, they just about doubled the price of what I usually get for breakfast. Crappy service, higher prices - a recipe for me to start clogging my arteries elsewhere! read more

4:30 AM. stumble out of Irish Cottage after closing it (again). stomach rumbling. realization: I have no snack food in my apartment, yet I must eat. falafel cart on 71st...is closed. yell out: "KHAAAAAAANNNNNN!!!!!" much like James Tiberius Kirk in "Star Trek 2: the Wrath of Khan" to express my anger. I also do my best "Y U NO" rage face but no one else notices except a traffic light which is winking at me. Jameson does horribly great things to the mind. a yellow light shines in the distance. no. I must avoid. but like a moth to a flame, my primal instincts take over. I see one of the other regulars from the Cottage here. we nod to each other; he leaves, and I take his place on line. a short man asks me what I will have. "ME GRIMLOCK WANT DOUBLE QUARTER POUNDER WITH CHEESE. ONLY SANDWICH." clearly this man is not a Transformers fan, as he gives me a puzzled look, but he takes my order anyway. it takes quite a while, but there is no turning back now. I clutch the bag containing this meal as I hike home, in a manner similar to the scene in "Commando" when Arnold is carrying monstrous logs over his shoulder. I am even singing the background music from that scene. you know, with the steel drums and haunting synthesizers. I reach my fortress on the hill. I am sad to discover the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese is cold. for 6 bucks I expect more! this is an outrage! I will not stand! I scramble and slather it with Sriracha sauce, and stick it in the toaster oven for a few minutes. The world's dumbest McDonald's! They could never get a breakfast order right! The lines here moves ridiculously slow and they take forever with your order. Finding a parking spot could be a hassle over here because it's right next to a private neighborhood that requires it's own private residential parking permit. I wouldn't recommend double parking here during the day because meter maids over here can also be quite ruthless. read more

could be the worst McDonald Ive ever been to. Food is never hot the staff think they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. Place always looks a mess. Homeless people come here to sleep. I was there last week and a young man and his friend were sitting across from me and the young man passes out plop right on the floor he fell. His friend runs to the manager and tells her he needs help. At this point I dont want my food Im concerned about the young man. the manager acted as if she could care less it took her 20 min to walk over and check on him by that time he had stared to come to. The place is pretty spacious, but usually full of degenerates. The lines move at a glacial pace. The food sucks, the staff are underpaid. and the seating rooms are always litters with sticky tables and other people's food. Awful.... the plastic drink containers smell like roach spray..no exaggeration!! I don't recommend. This place has gone downhill over the years. Man, I don't really know what to say about McDonald's anymore. The soda machine @ this location was broken. Good thing I was okay with their sweet tea or I would have been kinda pissed. No self service ketchup pumps here either which has become the normal for McDonald's restaurants. Half the time the soft serve is out of service too. Get your crap together Mr. McDonald. I don't know what was up with today but the entire restaurant smelled like feces, and the cashier was blaming it on the customers saying so and so shit themselves. There's a large amount of elderly that hang out at the restaurant and its possible, but the cashier was acting rude and unprofessional and customers were leaving cause of it. read more

If there is a manager present in this franchise, I wouldn't waste my time talking to him because he obviously doesn't know enough to realize that the organization and attitudes of his staff are unacceptable. I do like McDonald's salads, but I don't like interacting with the staff here. While there is usually a line of people waiting to place their orders, there is typically only one or two cashiers taking them, while the rest of the staff stands around talking and laughing amongst themselves. The cashiers are also incredibly slow and none seem focused on what they're doing. Overall, this store also just "looks" dirty. I would love to see a Burger King or Wendy's in the area because McDonald's just isn't cutting it. read more

I don't know how this place has a two star overall. Management clearly does a good job here because the staff is very friendly and always checking if the customers are satisfied. On my way in I noticed they jumped to open the door for a lady with a stroller. It just shows they care and many fast food places are not this way. They move their lines fast too and 71st is a busy street. Nice job to the store! read more

I haven't been to a McDonald's in years. Went to this location recently and was very impressed. The place is immaculate and the interior design pleasing. You can either place your order at a kiosk and have it delivered to your table or go up to the counter. The attendants are pleasant and helpful. Plenty of seating. Coffee is delicious and Egg McMuffins yummy. Will definitely go back. read more

I had placed my order on 9/25/17 and I had asked to dine in and the gave me my order for take out, I had asked for ranch and they had given me BBQ, I had gone to the counter to get my order but this worker was laughing with someone else I had gone the counter to not interrupt her and grabbed the ranch dressing, I then had returned to get ketchup and she had greeted me with a nasty tone - what do you want miss- I replyed I do not like the was you just spoke to me it's not my fault that my order was giving to me wrong and I should not have to pay for the consequences of your coworker that she got my order wrong. With a nasty attitude and yelling she replied you can't be doing this - I said what getting ranch dressing and ketchup. I want your name I replied I'm going to complain- I had gone to sit down and from my table I can hear Ashley talking about the situation she had with me, I got up and told her this is so unacceptable that I'm eating and I hear you, who's your manager I had spoken to Michael one of the managers there which he is completely lovely and he calmed me down due to nobody would give me the individuals name. But Ashley response to I don't care you can talk to my manger had poor Demeanor. I work on Austin Street - I am constantly in this McDonald never have I had an encounter like this in this establishment. Have to agree with a majority of the reviews here. For a nice area it's the dumping ground at times for not so nice people- but they sort of can't help that. It's the only McDonald's in the area so when you want mcdonalds the food will suffice. The staff...the staff is lazy, move at a snails pace and have zero customer service skills. Horrible place. The staff and onsite managers all need to be fired. Whoever is in charge of giving orientation at the neighboring Shake Shack should be hired on to hire and train completely new staff. Waiting time to get your food can be a challenge to your patience, and even after the long wait, you can be given the wrong order. I've come in too many times and been told they're out of Sprite. How can they be out of Sprite for over a week, on more than one occasion? If the people who run McDonalds want to know why their sales aren't what they used to be, all they need to do is come to this particular McDonalds outlet to find out. read more

The staff isnt too bad here. I've dealt with a lot worse. I never had my order messed up. But I hate the people that come here. It's so typical. Everyone after 10pm is drunk and high, loud middle schoolers in the afternoon, and homeless people throughout the entire day. It's not the staff's fault but the manager should be able to control noise levels when it gets too rowdy. But he/she doesn't. It's horrible to eat there. Just get your stuff and go! Other than that. Convenient location for a quick bite (and the Happy Meals). Close to the subways and the LIRR. Often times, it's littered with teenagers hanging out there. On a positive note, they recently renovated so it is nice and bright to eat there. read more

The Spanish female MANAGER needs to be replaced. Her attitude sucks real bad. They have all new staff. I informed her that the bacon on my salad was uncooked and the chicken was burnt. She just looked at me. No response. This is not the first encounter. Another time I had a problem with their food and informed her, she yelled to the cashier, "she don't want it give her her money back." Huh?! There is no apology or sense of urgency to correct it.
