Came through on a whim tonight - it's been well over a handful of years since the last time I had McDonalds. I watch what I eat but tonight let loose with a happy meal comprised of small fries, 6 piece nuggets, and a crisp sprite. We used the McDonalds app to order ahead and picked up at the drive thru. Chik-fil-A has got nothing over this MsDonald's! The staff inside are always friendly inside. I do receive table service after ordering. The wait is very short unless it's very crowded, but even then our food comes out in a reasonable time. I can only speak to the morning drive thru to times but it's generally a four to six minute stop from the time I get off of Red Bank Rd until I get out of the parking lot. This is the best and most consistent, efficient McDonald's out there. They set the precedent. read more

Updated review. Since I last reviewed, we have eaten here numerous times and at several different times of the day. Sadly, it has lost several stars for me and now I look forward to the new restaurant opening across the street. We even UBER eats tried them and they failed miserably. The driver had to wait 25 minutes before even being acknowlwdged. Our simple order took 45 minutes and we literally live 3 blocks away. And half the items were wrong or not even ours.. like someone out there had 2 special sandwiches that ended up in our bag and to boot they were falling out of the paper wrap like it didnt matter to wrap them and be proud of your product. When an UBER eats driver says don't order from a restaurant... you listen. Todays blunder... I ordered an iced vanilla lattee... she hands me a hot one and I state "this is supposed to be iced." She takes it back with a huff and never once said sorry. She sent another worker to the window to ask me to pull up and when she brought me the iced one never said a word. I wished her a great day! Honestly, I do t understand why this location has a low rating. I've been here at least 10 times over the past year and have had 0 issues. The restaurant is always spotless and clean, the staff are nice, and the food has always been warm. I know McDonald's has a bad rap... but this one is a good one, I swear!!! Haha. read more

You know overall I am not a fan of McDonalds. I actually think the food it pretty disgusting and usually the service really sucks at any McDonalds you visit. But with that said I will say that the Goose Creek McDonalds really tries a lot hard, the staff here is always friendly, and the food is a little fresher than other locations I've visited in the past. Used the curbside pickup option and after waiting 10 minutes I started to get worried they forgot my order. Just before I started to write a negative review my food came out and the worker asked me to double check that everything was correct which was nice. The McDonalds app should stop advertising that it will only take 5 minutes to get my food at the curbside pickup if it's going to take twice as long. 1651 Red Bank Rd. Tends to treat people of color differently. I have placed several orders for table service but have had to go to the counter after waiting 20-30 minutes for my order. However, I have observed on several occasions that White peoples are served with a smile and often greeted with friendly hellos after being served at their table as they requested. People of color are not greeted at all. Worst service ever for people of color. This is very sad day for everyone who visits this establishment!!!! read more

Overall, my experience at this McDonald's has been good. I used to go to the one on the Naval Weapons Station/Joint Base Charleston before it unexpectedly shut down. I was so grateful they built a new one nearby. Most of the time, the food is excellent as is the service, but the last time I came in, nobody greeted me and the staff acted like they would rather be anywhere else but working there. The young lady who took my meal dropped my bag on the counter and walked away. No words. No "thank you". No eye contact. Nothing. Perhaps it was a bad day and this could be an anomaly, but I was disappointed and surprised. I'll continue to go back to see if service improves, but wanted to bring this to the manager's attention as this could be a potential coaching opportunity and learning experience for the staff. read more

Saturday, November 17th at 11:15am, we stopped at this location to get 4 things. 2 coffee drinks, 1 basic hamburger and basic order of chicken nuggets. It took them 30 minutes. Not only did they give the food to us within the first 5 minutes, but then it too 25 additional minutes to get the coffee drinks. The manager seemed TOTALLY out of his element, it was a cluster ***k in the store, cars lined up around the building. The girl making the drinks can over once, placed 2 drinks on the counter and didn't even tell the people behind me they were theirs. The manager brought me the wrong drink twice. No apology. No reason. NOTHING !! The LEAST the manager should have done was apologize and refund our money. This is why McDonalds is going downhill. Customer service is lost at this location. read more

We went to this McDonald's at 10:00 in the evening, sat at the drive thru forever and no one answered. Drove to the window only to have the staff stare at us like we are stupid. There were more pickles on the floor than there were on my sandwich. Some of the employees were throwing food on the floor and the same pair were arguing. There was a hug line of customers and three employees were shooting the sh*t with other guests, screaming to get his number. They dropped the ball today, my big mac wasn't put together right and not much sauce on it at all. If I hadn't drove home before seeing this I would've walked it inside and had it remade. Terrible. Went to get some lunch... went in and the one girl at the counter said we had to use the automated kiosk. Enters the order twice and it did not work. The line grew longer and longer. No one could place an order. I asked for the manager, told her what was happening, and she acted like she did not care. I will never go back to this McDonalds. I've been coming to this McDonald's for about a year now. The first few months the service was good. Employees were consistent (meaning not constantly quitting), did a fairly good job with my orders and were polite. I noticed, and was told, that they were having issues keeping employees when I had complaints about messed up orders. Understandable... as long as they were willing to correct their mistakes I was willing to continue supporting them with my business. I spent thousands of dollars at this location, due to fast food addiction, over the course of the year. Around late spring... early summer, I was told that I would need to physically check every food item I purchased before leaving because they would no longer replace my food. They flagged my name and treated me as if I were attempting to cheat them. This attack on my integrity infuriated me. I stopped going to this place for 2 months. However, its the closest place to my location and my addiction/wallet made me give them another go. The same issues arose but they seemed to be willing to correct their mistakes again. After several issues they started to give me push back. This time I wrote a message to their headquarters hoping that something would be done. This appeared to be the case because they sent me a response email and I stopped getting push back. Every time I had an issue I would take photos to prove that I wasn't simply making things up. I was constantly reassured that the issues were their fault and that what I was doing was unnecessary in regard to taking photos. The area or store manage, a short white girl (simply giving a description), was the one to question my integrity and act as if I was the issue. She is the one who originally attacked my integrity. I ordered a bacon double quarter pounder combo last night... When I left I realized my drink was messed up... I ordered a dr pepper without ice, as usual, but it didn't taste like dr pepper... It didn't have an orange flavor like the last mess up so I left it be as I didn't feel like wasting any more of my time (the wait times are ridiculously long at times). When I arrived home my fries barely reached the low cut line on the front of the box when normally they would be nearly as high as the back, which is much higher. The real issue was the fact that there was no bacon on my quarter pounder. I called immediately to let them know and after stating the situation was asked to bring the food back. I waited 10-30 minutes just to get my food. Now I have to pack my children back into the vehicle, drive back to the store just to replace it? Not only were they asking me to waste my time, gas, and energy putting up with their bullshit but they also wanted me to interrupt my children's meal and allow their food to get cold in the mean time? It made no sense. I told them I would come back tomorrow to get it replaced. When I went in, the area/store manager (the same as mentioned above) tells me that they will not replace my food. She said that they apparently can't make it correctly for me, as if my standards were too high for them, and that she would not reimburse me monetarily because she has replaced so much food for me in the past. This location has stolen my money too many times to count... this is why I stopped putting up with the mistakes and started holding them accountable in the first place. I have explained the issues, in detail, every single time with the expectation that they would learn from it and correct their employee's habits. The number of times I've had under cooked quarter pounder beef is astounding. I've had them forget to bag items that I purchased, leave off requests (simple stuff... such as adding bacon or an extra beef patty, nothing complex at all), and even repeat the order correctly back only to have them not ring it up and thus not given to me (this type of mistake I took because I was not charged money, though its still bullshit to put up with such nonsense). I can only assume these issues stem from terrible management. The lack of quality control, manners, and respect are intolerable. (I put the brunt of this on the head manager as the others have been more than cordial when working with me on these issues.) The thing that pisses me off the most is calling my integrity into question and pretending like I'm the issue. I've held them accountable for their poor management and quality control. They've chosen to ask me not to return because they could not satisfy my standards (which in all honesty are their own standards that they do not hold themselves to, unfortunately). I will write their headquarters one more time so that, perhaps, they will hold their management accountable for these issues. However, I will no longer waste my money on McDonalds or any other fast food restaurant. I would encourage the rest of you to consider taking your business elsewhere, not simply from this location but these trashy organizations in general. That would make America great again! read more

I love McDonald's, always have. I however will not be going to this particular franchise again. I used the phone app to order my food and entered my credit information from my office in order to speed up things, or so I thought. Half way to the restaurant I got an e-mail asking if I was there yet. When I arrived i indicated that I was. their were 20 or more people milling around I asked the cashier, when the line died down how I should go about getting the food I had ordered. He said enter a number like 3 or 5 and it would come up on the order screen and be put on the counter. Did not happen. After 20 minutes of trying to get someones attention about the order, I was told that 3 or 5 wouldn't do anything. Back to the app that had an order number, it didn't earlier have one earlier. I finally got my food 45 minutes or so after ordering it. to make matters worse, the cashier had run out of register tape causing customers to not know their order number, which means they do not know it when a person says order number whatever. Manager finally came over and replaced the tape barking at the cashier in the process. Total cluster from beginning to end. One star based on service. read more

Over 20 minutes for Luke warm coffee and cold french fries. When part of the order was wrong got hassled and the rudest attendant to grudgingly give us the rest of our order. It is a short distance from home but I will drive to longer distant. They are also rude never say thank you after paying or getting your food. I think they need new management. I sent my daughter to get a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, we live less than 5 min away and she brought it to me, I am home after surgery, everything was stone cold, the bun was hard, cheese was just sitting on the burger and not melted and burger was cold. I have tried to call for over an hour to speak with manager but either no one answers or phone is ringing busy, this location has gone down hill, we will go to the other McDonald's from now on.
