Not sure what on earth is going on this evening of 10/14/23 at 11:12 pm but the girl in the drive through is OFF. Extremely rude and short and beyond unprofessional even for a McDonald's level. Girl nobody making you be here, don't be mad at everyone coming to buy food. We did nothing to deserve that kind of attitude from you for simply coming to the drive through. If you cannot handle this evening just go home already. There's no need to take it out on innocent customers. If I was managing this location that would be an automatic write up. Eat a snickers or something hun cause honestly wtf was that. read more

Last time I came here in 2013 the ice cream had been broke for 3 years... came back in 2024 and it's still broken. I'm kind of impressed by the lack of 0 fricks given. On the plus side they're one of last McDonalds that still gives access to the soda machine. Win some lose some I guess read more

I frequent this McDonald's and have had no problem till this am. How hard is it to be nice? Gal working the first window was upset that I didn't give her a code for a reward item. I never have any problems with the gentleman and female worker at the second window. Next time I'll know to give ALL rewards codes when I order my food only at this location. She ends up slamming her scanner and credit card machine. Totally unnecessary. We all have bad days but a customer don't need to know that. read more

**EXTREMELY bad. Don't bother visiting** If there was a way to give negative star reviews, I would. By far, still the worst place to venture to for a quick meal. 9/10 times they will mess up your order. Do they even train the staff anymore on customer service?.?. 90% of the staff unhappy, will end up treating their visitors like trash. 0 "Thank you, please come again". Instead of trying to adjust and correct for order, they will argue with you and tell you that you yourself made the mistake. I can only count on one hand of a couple staffing that are properly trained. Again, this will be a fair WARNING to all that are thinking of visiting this location. read more

Beware! Make sure to grab receipt and double check credit card statement. Someone illegally added additional items to my order after the fact and the two managers were very difficult to get it all corrected. On Saturday, ordered 1 large coke via the mobile app for $1.05 to be picked up via the drive thru. There have never been any issues with mobile order before or anyone tampering/illegally overcharging with any other locations until today. Provided the mobile order code at the speaker and it was confirmed and instructed to moved forwarded to the cashier's window. At the window, cashier was getting flustered and informed us that she merged our mobile order with another order (the car behind us) and she was trying to get it corrected. Her manager was called and this was taking over 5 minutes of them going back and forth. We asked if we can moved ahead since it was already paid for via the app to just get a our 1 drink. After driving off, we received a text from credit card company there was a charged of $5.24. I checked the order via the mobile app and was very stunned to see, they (someone at Mcdonald's) had illegally changed our order. Called and spoke to the manager, and that took a lot of back and forth and she finally said we had to come back within 2 weeks to get refunded the overcharge. Per Manager (Magrina), she will leave a note so we can come back at anytime. We stopped by on Sunday and spoke to another Manager (Suzanne), the other Manager was not in. Per Sunday's Manager, Magrina did not leave any note. Again, we go back and forth trying to dispute this overcharged that was caused by them. Spent another half hour and finally the Manager realize the mistake they did and process the refund. The biggest concern is that, if ordered via mobile app and paid for, no one should have access to change/tamper the original order. So please make sure to check your receipt and credit card statements if charging. read more

Wednesday February 22, 2023. I always go to Kahala McDonald's every morning before work to buy breakfast for my parents. For a while now, they have been opening later and later. 5:35am and they were still closed! So, I decided to go to the Palolo McDonald's as they are open 24/7!! I ordered Spam Eggs and Rice and asked if they could substitute the Spam for the Pork Sausage Patty, Eggs and Rice instead. I got my order and the lady at the window said, to make sure my order is correct. It was correct! Good job! Kahala is 0.8 miles and Palolo is 1.6 miles from my home. Kahala is open at 5:00am sometimes and Palolo is 24/7!! I love Kahala. But, I might start going to Palolo instead. That's if Kahala continues to keep opening later or not at all. I go Kahala when they open at 5:00am as I have pick up, drop off the food and go straight to work to be able to start at 6:30am!! Hopefully, Kahala starts to open on time or I will have no choice. For McDonald's Kaīmuki: I'm getting more an more disappointed whenever I eat here. There's a whole different crew, which I understand, may be still training. But it doesn't seem to be getting better as time goes by. Today, it looked as though they were short handed. When I was ordering, everything seemed smooth, but then when I went to pay, the cashier took two whole orders, without greeting or asking to take my payment. She stayed far away from the window and never made contact. She was slow to take the orders, so I had to say out loud, "Am I going to be able to pay for my order soon?" To which she finally noticed that I was even there. Didn't offer me my receipt either. On multiple occasions, this location missed putting food in our bags. Today, it was the apple slices I ordered with a happy meal. On other days, the fries are only half way filled. Today, when they gave us our drinks, both were spilling out all sides of the cups. This location does not deserve one star. Ordered a hot chocolate this morning. Received a cup of hot water & dairy. Called and asked to speak to a manager. Lucy answered claiming to be the manager. When I asked for a refund, she then asked another employee about processing a refund. When I asked why she, as the manager, had to ask another employee about the refund process, she then stated that she just started & was training. So then asked if the person training her was her superior & if so may I speak to that person instead. Lucy then stopped speaking, did not hang up, but did not speak again. This location does not know how to fill a hot chocolate order, nor how to handle refund requests & places inexperienced people in charge. Tiny parking lot with limited spaces; we ended up parking on the street. The order line is confusing and you have to cut in front of people to get to the soda machine or napkins. The ketchup is in a spigot dispenser but no condiment cups so I ended up using a drink lid but the damned thing was BUBBLING and the color was orange. It also smelled like it was undergoing malolactic fermentation. I told the manager but she was dismissive. The trays were so sticky we had to wash our hands right before eating. Gross. You know what is more gross? I stepped into something slimy and gelatinous in the bathroom. BARF. Two stars coz this place has been remodeled, but I'm never coming back here. read more

My order was that simple, I used my app code to get a free iced coffee, and I add on 1 sausage mcgriddles just sausage with cheese. Okay, so my coffee, she ask what flavor, and I reply hazelnut she yells thru the mic and said no more that one long time, first of all, tall nicely because we all just woke up it's too early to be in range if u don't like ur job just quit. However, my 1 sausage mcgriddle, I only said just the sausage with cheese! And she ask again with cheese? And I said yeah and she go "oh the cheaper one" like wtf? I know that it's cheaper that's why I pick that no fuck duh! And this lady got my order wrong she give charge me 2 iced coffee, I'm so mad right now cause the fact that she keeps asking when I told her like 3 times. And for saying that's the cheaper one, and for getting me coffee wrong. Now, this is unexpected GREAT news: I can't remember the last time I stepped into this McDonald's. It's the place I come to only for drive thru. I have nightmares about the set up and look of this place and even about the restrooms but I took a chance tonight and... Dannnng! :D Talk about major overhaul to the positive! Yahoo! :D ORDERING: Walk in and you clearly know that the registers on the counter mark that you order there. While you are ordering, the staff person can offer assistance. I needed to select a $1 item so that I can get a NextNext card (to vote for Emil H.!!!) and she made a couple suggestions. I chose the $1 taro pie :) FOOD PICK UP: Once your order is placed, they'll provide you with a receipt then will ask you to pick up your order to the left when it's ready. MY PLEA: As for the things I'd like to see improved and changed?! Their burgers have SHRUNK down to minuscule size. I remember when one had to use two hands to hold the filet-o-fish and big mac burgers. Idk what's going on but (a) man cannot live alone on gorgeous interior design! These days, burgers can be held in one hand! Not good things! :/ TABLES & CHAIRS: Counters are clean. Tables and chairs are in different versions: some high; some low; some are group tables, some are attached to a long counter, and some are part of a two or four group table. Either way, I think you'll find a combination that works best for you. RESTROOMS are clean and efficient. Two stalls in the women's. Even the restroom is not cramped. The only thing I'd prefer are paper towels instead of a hand blower machine. I just don't like touching restroom door handles with bare hands. PARKING is in their attached lot. There's quite a few stalls and the parking lot at the back on the mountain side was turned into the drive through ordering and turn around area for this place. FOOT TRAFFIC: This is a busy place! I was surprised! Flow of the foot traffic through this place is intermittent yet very consistent. For the few hours I spent eating and Yelping and Yelping and eating, there was always a good number of ppl here somewhere either sitting down, ordering, or a combination. Ppl also seemed to leave soon as they came into the restaurant like the tide hitting the shoreline. Here for a moment then out soon as their food arrived. HELLO KITTY: When they have Hello Kitty kids' toys items is another reason for me to be here! Thank you for making such spectacular changes, Palolo McDonald's! We haven't been into a McDonald's for YEARS but we've always had a "soft spot" for their fish sandwich and fries. So, when we were recently in the Kahala Mall area, we figured we'd manage our hankering at this location. The first thing that we noticed at this McDonald's was its clean and bright interior. There were plenty of counter help available and the manager was actively working the line. Our order was taken by a friendly helper and we got our order within a few minutes. When we opened our containers, we were surprised at the "shrinkage" of this sandwich. Shucks, it was barely 4" in diameter...I somehow remember it to be larger! Even the fish filet seemed thinner. But, what surprised us was the price we paid for this fast food. The McPick 2 deal only cost us about $6/meal. Score, even though the portion size had shrunken! The sandwich still tasted as good as we remembered even though it's been at least 5+ years since we've stepped foot into a McDonald's. Unfortunately, there was a guy in there "begging" for a couple of dollars from all who came in. He was relatively well-dressed and spoke well. The manager did nothing but I could see that some patrons were a bit bothered.... I ended up giving him $2 which is what he asked for and he did get into line to purchase an item. i've come to this mcdonalds a few times. Every single time that i've been here they have gotten my order wrong. Even when I order with the mobile app. They have extremely rude customer service, sometimes they would yell and berate me out of nowhere when i just.. simply.. place an order.. or pick up an order. I let it slide the first three times but now I feel like I have to leave a review. It's always the same two order takers who are completely rude day/night. They don't say "thank you" or "will that complete your order" or "your total is xxx". They'll typically comment on the food or say "PULL UP" or "GOT IT" in an angry tone. Surprised these workers were hired to work here. I couldn't imagine them landing a job anywhere else. read more

This place is not 24 hr. I don't know if it's the owners fault or the managers but orders after 12 pm get canceled all the time on delivery apps because they say the place is closed. Don't visit Mcdonalds often but wanted to try the special limited edition International sandwiches. Tried the Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger (from Spain) and the Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich (from Canada). The chicken sandwich was better than I thought. The chicken was thicc. There was gouda cheese in the bacon burger. Yummm... It was pretty good. Quick service and pretty clean. read more

They have a beautiful mural in their parking lot that shows where they have been before their location in Kaimuki. There is also a history of W&M burger from the humble beginnings of starting a burger place. You can call ahead and even order online so your food is ready to be picked up. If you go to the counter then be prepared to wait a little bit, as they are flame-grilled made-to-order burgers and fries. I go to McDonald's (other locations) at least once a week so I think I know how good and positive a visit can be. It's been a while since I've been here because of a bad experience during my last visit. Well, at least they're consistent because tonight was probably one of the worst experiences at a McDonald's ever. I was going to complain but after reading the other reviews here I decided not to. I've come to the conclusion it won't make a difference because no one cares. As a consumer you can choose to give your money to a business that cares about and values you. If you choose to patronize a place like this that really doesn't care about you as a customer or value your business, you chose to come here so you deserve the treatment you get. Kahala and Moiliili are close enough that you have other options close enough that you can still enjoy McDonald's at an establishment that values your business. I work hard for my money and it's my choice to spend it someplace that will value me as a customer and treat me nicely. I don't expect the friendliest or quickest service in the world, but I also won't allow these guys to treat me badly anymore. read more

I used to work here back in HS 1999. Back then, customer service and order accuracy was super important. Flash forward to 2025 and these workers nowadays don't give a shit about anything. I made a walk-in order this past weekend for the Grinch meal and waited about 25 minutes. The mobile app and drive thru customers were the priority. Another customer who ordered in person complained about why people whi waltzed into the store after her got their food before she did. I shared the same sentiment but didn't say anything because I know from personal experience how hectic it is when there is high demand and when it is busy. However when the crew member answered her passive aggressively in a sarcastic manner, that was unacceptable to me. This location is a corporate location, so it should be held to a higher standard than a franchise. I order from this location via Uber Eats for my grandparents and items are missing 75% of the time. I would expect this from a franchise but a corporate location, this is unacceptable. read more

I had the worst Fxxxin experience at this McDonald's drive-thru. It took forever to get my order, and the customer service was terrible. I waited in line for over 30 minutes and guess what? I'm not even at the order line speaker yet. When I finally got to the speaker to place my order, the employee was incredibly rude and impatient. I had to repeat my order 3 damn shitty times. I guess he can't read nor listen. After I paid, I had to wait another 15 minutes before my food was ready. When I finally received my order, it was cold and stale. It was obvious that my food had been sitting under the damn table for a long time. When I tried to ask for a refund, the employee acted like I was inconveniencing them. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service at this McDonald's. The wait time was unacceptable, the customer service was rude, and the food was subpar. I stopped by McDonald's late at night to grab an ice cream cone. We ordered through the app, and when we got to the drive-thru, the lady on the intercom seemed like she was in a really bad mood. We heard her yelling at the customer in front of us, and when it was our turn, we gave her our mobile order codes and asked a quick question about the menu. She yelled, "I can't hear you!" and told us to just move up the drive-thru. The ice cream itself was good, like always, and I'm glad the machine was actually working (which is a plus!).
