HORRIBLE! Please avoid this restaurant unless you want the most painful stomach pains. Food is unsanitary and I got food poisoning just 3 hours from eating. On Thursday, August 29th the McDonald's in Islip have Dirty employees. They don't wear hairnets and I don't see gloves on their filthy claws. every time I order food from there, I have to make two left because they don't have burgers cooked. And I always have to wait. Things the manager should do before hiring people here: 1) Give potential employees a simple math test, example 4+2. 2) Give potential employees a mock order and show them the importance of checking and double checking customer's orders. A few days ago I order (2)10 piece nuggets, (2) small fries, and (2) cheeseburgers. My order was ready within 5 minutes. My son pulled out his nuggets and fries and my two burgers. My daughter went to grab her fries and nuggets, but there was nothing left in the bag wtf? Went back to the McDonald's and picked up the rest of my missing items. I usually like the service I get here in Islip and haven't had any complaints worth reviewing... until today!!! My kids begged me for McDonald's today so after getting my food from somewhere else I decided to grant them their wish. I placed the order at 7:22pm, I paid and they gave me one of those free fries ticket and told me to pull up in the front and wait for someone to bring it out. There were already 3 cars in front of me and I watch the employees come out one after the other bring orders to the cars. You know when you just know that an order is yours???? Well that was me today. After they gave my order to the car in front of me a guy comes out with a bag hands it to me and walks off. I pull over and look in the bag... it was not my order. I also see the car with my order digging through the bag and quickly drives off. Lucky them huh?!?!? I go inside the store to tell them that they gave my order to the car in front of me. I show them the receipt and they say their well rehearsed "sorry" and proceeded to make my order... my kids asked if I could buy them a strawberry pie. Well because they have all the pies they had away the the car in front of me they were out and needed 8 minutes to make a new set. REMEMBER: I got there at 7:22 and I didn't leave there until 7:53. I was so mad that I didn't realize I was there that long otherwise I would have asked for my money back. Well the kids had hot food but by the time I got home my food was cold. Don't bother going to this McDonalds. Everyone is pleasant enough but the customer service stinks. They talk up the McCafe but the coffee is never made, almost always they have you pull to the other side of the building and wait for them to bring it out to you. The wait many times exceeds 10 minutes and you'll wonder if they forgot about you or what. I even called them on the cell phone one time to remind them I was still outside waiting! This is not fast food. Check your order before driving away from the window because what's in the bag will be incorrect as many times as it's correct. The response is come back if it's wrong- are they kidding? The drive through line creeps and winds out to the street. Re train the staff, get better management or close the darn place. I been to this place alot ever since I was a baby. We would always go there every Friday. I can't even get enough of those happy meal toys from the late 90s/early 2Ks. I've been coming here since I was born. Service was always spot on. Then, they renovated the place. New managers, new staff. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I've been here twice since the refirbishment. Twice they messed up my change and orders. Today, I went to buy an Incredibles toy. After waiting on the line for 20 minutes I picked out one for $2.16. Meanwhile, everyone was sending there food back. The manager was walking around yelling at people. I gave a $20 and my change was $17.84. The new guy couldn't do anything. The cash register was out of singles! So I'm waiting, the managers like, one sec. So I wait and wait while she walks around with her hands in her pockets, and after 20 more minutes, I finally get it. Of course, more people are sending their orders back. This is unbelievable. The new staff are untrained and nasty to the customers. What a shame. And you'd think the manager wanted to solve everything and make peace, but nope, she just walks away barking orders. In the future, if I want McDonalds, I will take my bussiness elsewhere. Ok so I don't eat McDonalds often but on occasion I am in the mood for their fries. My concern is not the food (fries were banging). We went through the drive-thru, line wasn't long so I figured why not. Well to my surprise driving up to the window to pay and there is a young man standing outside who walks over saying the total is $$$. Ok, confused I ask why do they have you outside. He explained he collects the money to help the line move faster. Who in the world came up with dumb a$$ idea. One, he literally has a cash register opposite of the cash register inside, two it's 89 degrees outside. And three after paying I STILL had to wait to get my food. Another five minutes parked at the drive through reservation station. I understand trying to make things easier for the customer, however how they are going about it is all wrong. There was NO NEED for that young man to be standing in the hot sun with no covering to collect money, where two inches away the lady inside could easily do the same thing. It almost looks like some form of punishment for the staff who is not on the right side of management. McDonalds you all really need to come up with a new game plan. Shame on you for allowing that young man to stand out in the heat when your drive thru line was not long at all!!!! read more
